Kenwood Cottage ligger lige i nærheden af Princess Place Drive i en stille gade med fortove, børn, hunde og naboer. Du kan hvile på verandaens sving og sige hej! Der er to soveværelser - det ene dronning og det ene dobbelt - samt to badeværelser - det ene kun et badekar - det andet et walk-in-shower. Gaslogfiler fungerer og vil holde dig hyggelig denne vinter .... Saltvandspoolen holder dig kølig, sommer. Gården er fuldt indhegnet. Vi har grundlæggende kabel og wifi. Downtown ligger 5 minutter i bil, vi er meget tæt på studiet og 15 minutter væk fra Wrightsville Beach. Kæledyr og længere ophold tages i betragtning.

Loved the pool!

Great little house for my husband and I and our little dog. Had to come to Wilmington for a few days and booked this place because of the pool and it did not disappoint. The house was clean, beds comfortable, adequate kitchen and a/c was nice and cool. The pool was perfect for the June heat. Would definitely come back

Cozy home with wonderful pool

The pool is worth this booking. My family loved it and most of our time was spent in it. The home itself needs some updates but I would recommend and would book again if in the area.

It's just OK because it's close to the beach

Huge Magnolia that we needed to skim the pool daily. Dishes required hand washing because there is not a dishwasher. Wall Switches were missing knobs and we were afraid to touch them so we used hand towels. There is a garden hose on the right side of the house to remove any sand before going in the house. I suggested adding the key to the yard door to go at the back of the house were there is a shower right at the door.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Stay reminded me of my favorite Clint Eastwood movie, ‘The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.’ - The Good: The home was beautiful, inside and out. We loved the rustic feel and warmth of the home. All appliances, except the dryer, seemed to work well. - The Bad: At check in time, the cleaners/repairmen were still working – we never got a call. After checking in, we went to throw some trash away and the trash bin was completely full. House rules said the trash would be picked up on Mon…we arrived on Friday. The dryer was subpar – took multiple cycles to dry. - The Ugly: Ants & intrusive neighbor. Literally, within 1 hr of arriving, the ants had taken over. Everything on the counter in the kitchen was attacked – had to throw away several items. They were present in every room except the living room. However, the absolute worst part of the stay was an intrusive neighbor. Keep in mind, we are two couples in our 60s. On Sunday, we were relaxing at the pool while playing some country music from a $16 Dollar General am/fm radio…this thing could barely be heard at the end of the pool. I received a text from the owner about 3 pm who said a neighbor was complaining of noise. After getting text, we shut off the music & came inside. This same intrusive neighbor had also cowardly taped a letter to the front door that read, “The people in this neighborhood like it QUIET. Why don’t you all try to just swim and lounge by pool while listening to Mother Nature.” We won't be back!!

What a terrible experience. What was supposed to be a 5 day stay, turned in to a one night-extremely unpleasant stay. The neighborhood is rundown and looked sketchy. The house smelled bad and didn't look like what we saw online. We rented this home because of the good reviews. That said, we brought our dog (lab) because of the backyard pool, however, a plastic pool liner was put over the gunite pool and we found out after check in that dogs are discouraged to go in the pool. So we didn't get to utilize the pool. The kitchen had bug traps throughout the kitchen countertops, no keurig like shown, the fabric shades were filthy, the mattress was terrible, the toilet's water ran, large cockroach was in the kitchen, there we burnt logs in the fireplace that caused additional unpleasant odors, the vent in the dining room was filthy, there we no rails leading up the staircase to the front door or out back. We did not feel safe walking our dog. That said, I reached out to the property manager "Rachel" and let her know that we did not feel safe and that the house was not what we were expecting, we apologized and asked for a refund minus 400.00. She responded with accusations of extortion and defensiveness, zero thought to how we were feeling considering this was our vacation and we were so excited-only to be so let down by the home and neighborhood. We now had to find another place to stay, it was so stress-full. Thankfully, we found an incredible place and gave it a 5 star review.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The heated saltwater pool was amazing. Host provided tubes and pool noodles, lots of towels. There was also a hot tub for guest use as well! House was very clean upon arrival. The backyard is fully fenced and dogs are allowed (up to 3!) which was one of our main reasons for booking. All kitchen and bathroom essentials were provided, along with extra linens and pillows for the beds. About 20 minutes from Wrightsville beach, and under 10 minutes to the airport and downtown Wilmington. Would definitely book this property again if we return to Wilmington. Everything was perfect.

Loved the little touches and the private pool. Very quiet street yet convenient to downtown and Wrightsville Beach. Rachel was an exceptionally responsive host.

Backyard paradise

We loved our stay here. The fenced-in yard was perfect for us traveling with dogs, and the heated pool was a mini-paradise. Even on cloudy days the pool was wonderful. We REALLY appreciated that we could bring 3 dogs, while most dog-friendly places only allow 1 or 2. There are tons of food options within 5-10 minutes. We had planned to go to Wrightsville Beach, but enjoyed the pool & yard so much, we never went to the beach.

Pleasant and Peaceful

Great home, wonderful pool!

Perfect home stay for our family of 4 and dog. Well equipped kitchen, ample linens, eclectic and cozy decor. Home was in a safe neighborhood on a quiet street, convenient to the many places in the Wilmington area we visited. The highlight was the pool - clean, heated, and partially shaded with lots of places to sit and lounge. Host was responsive and kind, and cleaned the pool halfway through the week. If we come back to Wilmington, we would definitely stay here again.

Swimming outside in the Winter!

This is a Sweet Bungalow with all the amenities you need on a daily basis.We booked it mainly because I love to swim! The heated pool was a Heavenly Oasis!

Great Place to Be

This was a great little property for our short visit. The back yard/pool/hot-tub were very well kept. We cooked a lot while we were there, and found a lack of pots/pans and no dishwasher even though the rental checkout procedure states to place all used dishes in the dishwasher and run it. Also, pool instructions would have been helpful in the instructions, but we met the owner while there and he filled us in. A great house…however the shower did not work. We had the beautiful tub, so all was well. We would come again…

Gem of a property

Hurricane Helene forced us to cancel our planned anniversary trip and make a last minute decision to go to Wilmington. I'm so glad we found this gem of a property. Overall stay was nice. Would have been nice to have more overhead lighting. Owner was Very nice and worked with us on getting the pool cleaned. Our dog locked us in the Pool Area from in the house. The Owner was there in 10 minutes to get us back in the house and out of the Pool Area!!
