Smuk villa, kort gåtur til Agni-stranden, opvarmet pool med en fantastisk udsigt

My wife Catrina (who is half Greek) and I first came to Corfu for our honeymoon and fell in love with the island. We have returned with our three (now grown up) sons for very many years afterwards and our love for this wonderful place has grown. In 2008 we built The Almond Tree, in Kentroma, a village in North East Corfu, which is in an unspoilt and uncommercialized area. Since then we've had many happy holidays there with family and friends. Now we are hoping to share it more widely.
As a family we enjoy water sports such as water skiing, wake boarding and scuba diving. We keep a boat on the island for all these activities.
In the spring and autumn we like to go walking, there are many footpaths in the surrounding area which help you explore the unspoilt countryside.
We live in Cambridge where we run a animal nutrition business advising farmers and feed companies in all matters of pig nutrition!

Corfu is a fantastic place to relax, and we've found it to be a safe and easy place to bring our children. The weather is fabulous, too, and there’s enough rainfall to keep the island beautifully green.

The beaches around the island are excellent: the water is crystal clear and ideal for swimming, snorkelling, fishing or just messing about. There’s plenty of opportunity for water sports, scuba diving etc, while on the very many unspoilt beaches there are few signs of tourism.

We built our house (we've called it The Almond Tree) in Kendroma 15 minutes walk away from Agni Bay, where there are three good tavernas and close to some fantastic little bays and unspoilt beaches. Yet it's also just over a half an hour’s drive from the bright lights and bustle of Corfu Town.

We have all learnt to water ski and skuba dive here. In fact the people who taught us to waterski also taught Prince Harry and William in Kalami bay which is only a 30 minute walk from our house. You can also enjoy other water activities such as wake boarding and Ringo rides. We have also played Golf in Corfu and they have an 18 hole coarse about 40-50 minutes away. if you are into mountain biking or running there are loads of challenging paths and tracks to take, such as the highest point on the island at just over 900 meters which is accessible from the house.

Our villa offers an outstanding view over the old village out to the sea and the Albanian coast. It’s a very peaceful location, with plenty of areas of shade for you to escape to if the Mediterranean sun is not your cup of tea!

With one double and two twin bedrooms, it sleeps six comfortably and has two en-suite and one separate bathroom. Downstairs, it has a large open plan living and dining area, including a fully fitted and equipped kitchen.

It’s fully furnished and equipped – all you have you bring is yourselves and beach towels – it is both fully air conditioned and centrally heated, so that you can enjoy the room temperature that suits you best.

Outside, there is a large (9m x 4m) fully serviced swimming pool, several large verandah areas and a BBQ for you to use. This year 2017 we have added a pool heater for the beginning and end of season.
