Beautiful and clean flat with wonderful views of the beach and water. We really enjoyed coffee and cocktails out on the balcony. Short walk to everything. Excellent communication with host Liz. She immediately addressed an issue we encountered with kitchen equipment. Bed was excellent and the showers very good. Our only issue was the supplies are minimal: two starter rolls of toilet paper and no paper towels or tissues. Would have been nice to have been able to drop our bags an hour or two before availability. Overall, I highly recommend.

Thank you also for your helpful comments regarding the supplies provided. Your feedback is genuinely appreciated and we'll certainly review what we provide as starter supplies for our guests. With regard to the early bag drop, we completely understand how useful this can be. Unfortunately, it isn't always possible between guests because we need to allow sufficient time for cleaning and preparing the apartment to our usual standard, but where circumstances allow, we're always happy to accommodate an earlier arrival for luggage. Thank you again for recommending us. We'd be delighted to welcome you back to Porthminster View on another visit to St Ives.

A beautiful apartment with an amazing view. As a family of 4 we had lots of space to make ourselves comfortable and it was great to be just a few minutes walk to the beach and town centre. The furniture and all of the other items in the apartment are of good quality and everything worked as it should (not always a given!). The parking space is a great bonus too. We loved eating breakfast and the dining table looking out over the bay and it was also great to have the balcony. The road outside can be a bit busy at times (particularly late in the day) but didn’t bother us at night. Overall a lovely stay and I also really appreciated the comms from Liz and Dave right from booking over a year ago and during/after our stay. I would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful apartment, which was perfect for our family of four. The stylish furniture, well-equipped kitchen, and breathtaking view over the beach created a truly relaxing atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Waking up to the calming sound and sight of the sea was a real highlight.The beach is just a few steps down from the apartment, making it incredibly convenient for families. The dedicated parking space, protected by barriers, was another great advantage. The city center is within easy walking distance, while an excellent golf course is only a 10-minute drive away.Most importantly, the host was always available, responsive, and happy to help with any questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

This is a delightful property - very well equipped, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The location is perfect, just a 5 minute walk into town. Stunning view of the beach from the living area and the master bedroom. Dave and Liz are great hosts and very responsive to any questions we had. Definitely the place to stay when visiting St. Ives.

Fabulous half term break

Perfect family holiday home, fabulous views and a beautiful, well equipped beach down a steep path / steps directly opposite property. Quite easy walk into town too. The property had everything and more to be able to enjoy a lovely few days in the sun.

Lovely apartment but really disappointed by the hosts. Due to a breakage in one of the oven cooking pots (for which we were not responsible) we were charged a ridiculous amount to replace. Really disappointed by this, and would not return or recommend.

It is very disappointing to read this review having received hundreds of 5* reviews on various platforms after over 10 years of hosting! This was the initial feedback from the guests on departure; “Many thanks for a great holiday. Sorry to say there was one minor breakage. We cooked fries in an oven dish. I applied water to the dish prior to washing and as soon as the water touched the dish, a corner piece broke off. Our apologies, if we owe any money for it, please let us know. Thanks again, we would all love to come back again one day.” We understand that accidents happen and would not charge for small items. It is a “high end” apartment, the dish was Le Creuset, and the charge made was under £50, a fraction of the full cost, it was in perfect condition prior to use. We are sorry our guests were unhappy with the charge, no one gains out of mishaps but we are glad that the family had a wonderful holiday and they liked the apartment.

Perfect Location - Beautiful View

Just a wonderful apartment overlooking the beach and with expansive views. The rooms are all very comfortable and nicely appointed. Just far enough from the hustling downtown to enjoy the peacefulness of the area. Stones throw from the railway stop made it convenient and just off the coastal path. Will recommend to friends and family!

Half term holiday

Lovely property. Great location with easy access to the beach across the street. House was very clean, and was perfect for our family of 5. The welcome guide was helpful and gave lots of info on restaurants, markets, and lots of things to do in the area. Will definitely come back.

St. Ive's Holiday

The apartment is beautiful and very comfortable! The view of the beach is lovely and the location is very convenient. It was a great place to come back to after a long day of exploring the area. We had a little difficulty finding the correct doorway when checking in, but that may have been partly due to our jet lag after many hours of travel from the states.

Lovely early Spring Break

Beautifully clean and modernised apartment with splendid views overlooking St Ives Bay. Particularly well furnished with all you could want for a holiday provided for you.We were very appreciative of the easy to operate heating system which was very welcome given the largely inclement weather we had.

Spacious apartment close to beach

This place has the wow factor - close to facilities with a short walk - short walk to the beach - out the door to the sniket and straight down to the beach. Facilities look great rooms are large and spacious. Liz was always on hand for queries. Place was imaculate We will be coming again Thanks

St. Ives vacation

Liz was a wonderful host. I had many questions since we were coming from California & she always answered me right away. The apartment is the perfect location for walking into the village or going to the beach. We loved the “St.Ives Bakery” for coffee & croissants every morning. Thanks again Liz!!

Lovely stay in high quality apartment

The apartment has been furnished and decorated with thought and care and to a high specification. Lovely light, spacious accommodation, spotlessly clean. Stunning view. Just a few minutes walk to the town/harbour and beaches, a few more minutes walking back up the hill though! Will certainly look to return and will recommend to others.

Wonderful apartment in the perfect location!

We have just returned from a fantastic week in St Ives. The apartment was lovely and very well located. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was well equipped with everything that we needed. The beach was very close and the main centre was also within easy reach (only an 8 minute walk away). It was also great to use the hotel pool on our final day when the weather was a little bit hit and miss. We have stayed at other properties in St Ives and the parking at this apartment is by far the best (a big plus if you have an SUV). Thanks Liz for the amazing communication throughout our booking. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views

Wow!!! What a beautiful apartment, although the photos are great they really don't do justice to how lovely this place is, the beds are extremely comfy, the bathrooms are modern and spotlessly clean with lovely strong showers, the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you could need (including a seperate wine chiller fridge 😁👍🏻) the lounge is comfortable, light and airy with huge sash windows almost down to the floor which, when we were in, we had open all the time so we could hear the sea which is just across the road. Location is excellent, just a 5 minute stroll to the centre of St Ives or the harbour. We love it here so much that we have just paid our deposit to return for the third time next year ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻

Luxury apartment with a beautiful view.

Stunning apartment in a great location, the view from the balcony was amazing and the apartment itself is luxury with grand, tall ceilings and sea views from the living room and master bedroom. The views from the master bedroom especially were spectacular. I suggest opening the sash windows slightly before sleeping to enjoy the sound of the waves at night. The parking space is located to the front of the property just below the stairwell entrance which is a rare thing in St Ives and a massive boon. Cleanliness was perfect. Plenty of decent utensils for cooking etc. I couldn’t fault our stay and highly recommend a visit. You are poised on the main road into St Ives so you may notice road noise initially but that soon fades and you can rarely find a place without road traffic due to the nature of the town. Thank you for having us, we loved it and look forward to staying again!

Lovely apartment and would stay at No 1 again. Excellent location and fabulous views.

Overall most enjoyable, a few niggles in that there was only one bedside light in the master bedroom of which did not work. In the main bathroom the extractor fan did not work and one of the lights was out and needed replacing. Housekeeping, could have been better, up to scratch with clean windows on the interior, I cleaned the hob and splashblack as they were greasy and smeared , as so was the TV screen. Taking that aside, the apartment was well equipped and everything there that you needed. Would not hesitate in recommending No1 would just like the finishing touches to be top notch. This is in no way a detrimental crictisim of the apartment is was very pleasant. Good restaurant and eating places, wonderful beaches, everything within walking distances, beware this is very uphill. Spa facilities good, you will need to book in advance for any treatments. Definitely look forward to visiting again.

Tolle Lage, schöne Wohnung

St. Ives und die Lage der Wohnung ist super. Einzig die Straße kann etwas stören. Guter Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. Für 4 Personen super.

We are a couple with four wonderful grown up children and three adorable grandchildren. Dave has been visiting St.Ives for holidays for over 50 years, he knows the area well.
Liz studied hospitality management, has enjoyed a long career in the industry achieving a number of prestigious awards.
We love it when our guests enjoy their holiday at Porthminster View as much as we do, a luxurious home from home!

It has amazing views, is perfectly located, a short walk to the beach and has the benefits of a new modern property with the character of a historic granite building.
There is off road parking in front of the property which makes it very convenient for guests, the apartment is on the first floor.

Porthminster View is spacious and guests benefit from parking in front of the property, membership to the gym, pool and spa at the Harbour Hotel which is 2 minutes walk from the door.
We have hosted hundreds of guests since 2015 who have rated their holiday 5* for the location, views and facilities
