Winter getaway

This was our second time staying at Millie’s getaway. Everybody loves the property and amenities. Property manager is great to work with and very helpful. No complaints. Looking forward to more stays in the future.

Family Christmas

We spent a long weekend at Millie's for our family Christmas. We absolutely loved it. There was plenty of room for everyone and we all loved having our own bathrooms. The open area including the kitchen, dining room and living room was very spacious. We had various activities going on between us and were still all able to be in the same room. We also enjoyed the dock, outdoor firepits and the kayaks. We would definitely stay again!

Millie’s wonderful retreat

There were around 22 of us from 3 different states that met at Millie’s for our family Thanksgiving. This is the perfect set up for large groups. The kids and adults loved playing pool and shuffleboard!! Beautiful setting and the fire pit was wonderful. There is a pantry with griddles, crockpots, and large cooking pots that came in very handy. Thanks for making it a wonderful place to stay!!

Spacious

Great place to stay. Plenty of room for a large group. Walk back from the dock is a little steep but not back.

An Oustanding Climactic experience

Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about our experience. The house was clean and everything was in good working order. The house was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. Particularly loved the gigantic dining room table. It was perfect for our very large family get together. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Fourth of July Family Trip

We are a large family (23) and have members of all ages. This location provided the space and activities that all ages could enjoy and participate in. The property manager was especially accommodating and helpful with all questions and concerns. We had a great experience!

Fall at Millie’s

Loved the property. We had a larger group of family (23 total) and had enough rooms/beds for all. Location was perfect with great lake views and yard for kids to run around in. Kids loved the sand beach area too. Was beautiful in late October. Plenty of kitchen space and dining space for us all. Property manager met us on check in/check out and was very helpful. Would love to come back.

Fall Break

This property was the best. Nancy was very attentive and available to orient us to the property upon arrival. The home had all of the amenities that we were looking for and REALLY enjoyed our time here. We really hope to return!

Loved it! Everything about it! Lots of wildlife and birds and beauty. We even saw three baby bobcats in the forest frolicking.

Small Family Wedding

We all had a fantastic time here! The view and property was beautiful, better than we had hoped for. This was my favorite Vrbo stay so far. We will definitely be back someday; I'm already looking forward to it.

We rented the house for our large family vacation and had a great time! The large open area, deck, and yard were perfect for family dinner, games, and fun for everyone.

Weekend with friends.

This place is incredible! Luxurious and spacious accommodations, scenic and private on a quiet section of the lake. Lots of wildlife. The beach campfire was wonderful. We ate like royalty, and had plenty of room to cook and clean. Everyone had a blast, even the dogs! Thank you Millie’s, we will be back again!

Beautiful property with amazing lake access!

We loved our trip to Millie’s getaway! This was our first trip to lake of the ozarks so we were not familiar with the area. This home is about an hour from the touristy things for kids which was fine for us because we planned to spend most of the time at the house and on lake. We rented the pontoon boat and had fun on the lake. This side of the lake is quite and made tubing with the kids fun and a lot less stressful. We were bummed there is no canopy to provide shade for our parents. There was 4 families and we all fit very comfortably in the house. House stayed cool and the 2 kitchens was very useful during meal times. The water mat was so much fun for the kids!! They loved swimming around the dock and playing on the mat. The only other thing that would have been nice is TVs in the rooms. During family trips it’s sometimes nice to lay down and watch your own TV in the evening but overall no complaints we would love to stay again!

Beautiful property in a great location

My cousins and I as well as some family friends met up here for a reunion. The home is incredibly spacious. The kitchens & butler's pantry were stocked so amazingly well! Nancy was very helpful and always made sure we were seen to immediately. There were a couple small disappointments that I think others should be aware of, but didn't diminish our stay, so I still gave it 5 stars. It shows the master suite with a king and 2 singles. The two singles are just mattresses, not beds so we did have to have some folks on mattresses on the ground & we put kids there so it wasn't a big deal. Also, we rented the boat that is available and when we got there found out we couldn't be out on the water after dusk because they had removed the lights. While I do understand (apparently people were getting lost on the lake at night or damaging the boat), we do know how to operate a boat and navigate and had planned on using the boat at night for fireworks and fishing. Like I said, these things were pretty minor, but if you have specific plans for using the boat after dark or if you have adults that would be unhappy with a mattress on the floor for a bed they should just be known. Overall, still a great stay.

Amazing house and property!

What an amazing house! We have 7 kids, their spouses, and 9 grandkids and this house was perfect for us. So clean, large property, and right on the lake. Even better than the pictures! Thanks for an amazing week and we would definitely stay here again!

The house and grounds were wonderful, if we come back to this area, we would stay at Millie's Getaway again. It is fairly remote, so come prepared!

Girls Weekend

This is our 4th year here. We are a group of 15. We had plenty of room. This year the weather was very warm which made the stay so much fun. The property as always was very clean. The rooms are very nice size. The appliances are top notch. Nancy is very prompt with replies to questions. Will definitely stay again.

The Quint Family Reunion

We hosted our family reunion at this property, with around 20 people. I have never rented a VRBO and was a little apprehensive. This home was BETTER than the pictures! We were very comfortable, with plenty of space for everyone! Nobody was underfoot of anyone. The property manager Nancy, was very helpful and a phone call away, if we needed her. We all talked about renting this home again next year.

Heaven

This weekend was one of the best weekends ever. The home was amazing, the view was very beautiful, and the kids had an amazing time. I love the fact that the internet service was slow because it allowed us to become closer and spend more time in fellowship. The kids played outside instead of playing video games and on their mobile devices. We loved the peacefulness of the secluded home. Thank you so much for the hospitality. We will definitely recommend this place and hopefully we're able to book this summer.

The ABSOLUTE BEST VRBO I have ever stayed in!

Ms. Nancy was fantastic, by the time our stay was over - we wanted to adopt her as our aunt and pack her up with us😀 Ashley was very nice and accommodating as well. From the onset of our communication with Ashley right after we booked, to Ms. Nancy greeting us and being the best host EVER - our stay was AMAZING! We have absolutely no complaints at all - only compliments. It was 11 of us and we had a Christian Retreat at the property (we are very particular - and found that everything was up to par and very clean). Not only that, the atmosphere is so inviting and warm. The pictures absolutely does it no justice - YOU MUST see it in person. I have probably planned over 500 events - this has been one of the best experiences I’ve had thus far dealing with management/hosts/etc. . Don’t look for another property, Millie’s Getaway is the perfect place to create memories- they’ve thought of everything. It’s spacious enough for everyone to not feel crowded, not to mention the gorgeous view. I literally did about 49 or more hours researching places - read all the reviews, looked at all the pics - Search no more - THIS IS THE ONE!!!

Family reunion long overdue

Millies Getaway was the perfect match for what we were looking for. Plenty of space for quiet time, and the most exquisite beauty of nature— catching the sunrise was a breathtaking sight! The kitchens were a chef’s dream—and we have plenty of them in the family!😃 Nancy was extremely responsive, and with a couple of visits, we enjoyed her friendship too!

Spacious Home

This home was beautiful and great for the 18 family members who stayed there. I loved how each bedroom has its own bathroom! There is a giant table where we could all sit down together for meals and plenty of couch space for hanging out together. The lake is beautiful and great for boating, swimming, and fishing. Yes, we caught some fish! I would recommend more attention to the details such as cleaning the coffee makers & replacing the filters often. That was pretty gross so we removed it and used bottle water in the Keureg for our stay. The oven was apparently not cleaned previously so when we turned it on the house filled with smoke. We had to open the doors and air out the house even though it was hot/muggy outside. Overall, I would say this was a very nice home and a great location on the water.

The home was designed with gatherings in mind, from the two full kitchens and spacious common areas to the multiple bedrooms that make it easy for large groups to stay comfortably under one roof.

I also think the location sets it apart. Nestled in a peaceful nook on the main channel, the setting is both quiet and scenic — perfect for morning coffee by the water or a full day out on the lake. Having a private dock with boat slips and jet ski lifts makes getting on the water incredibly convenient, which I know guests really appreciate.

To me, it’s the perfect balance of relaxation and recreation — and that’s what makes it truly unique.
