Aloha Mark ~ Mahalo for your comments. We’re sorry to hear this stay fell short in a few areas. The unit was provided with a temporary microwave and we apologize if one wasn’t made available during your stay. The microwave has since been repaired and is working well. We are in the process of repairing the oven, and its stove top burners are still working. There is an also a second oven in the unit. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused with the appliances. We provide salt & pepper and olive oil, and while not part of our standard, we are happy to provide plastic wrap and tin foil upon request. We hope that overall your 50th birthday celebration was a good one and we hope to see you again. With warm aloha, MRR

Aloha James and mahalo for your comments. We agree this is a wonderful property and we’re glad you had an enjoyable family reunion. We’re sincerely sorry that you experienced roaches during your stay. Bugs are a part of a tropical environment, and while the Honua Kai performs quarterly pest treatments, on occasion pests find their way back in. Our records show you contacted us midway through your stay. Our guest experience manager responded and requested permission to enter the unit, and when we didn’t hear back from you, we ought to have followed up. Our standard of service is to offer a pristine unit upon your arrival and throughout your stay, so we are sincerely sorry that we fell short of our service standard with you. Our management team has reached out to you via email regarding your experience. Thank you again for your comments. We wish you all the best with your future vacations. Kind regards ~ Maui Resort Rentals

Regarding the furniture, we’ve escalated your feedback to our owner experience team for further review. Your insights are invaluable to us, and we appreciate you taking the time to share them.

Aloha Parks and mahalo for your review. Glad your overall experience was excellent! We agree this is a beautifully laid out and spacious 2nd floor unit with a nice slice of ocean and pool views.
