Thank you for sharing your experience. We are pleased that your family enjoyed Villa Nordica’s spacious layout, large gathering spaces, beautiful lakefront setting, updated bathrooms, ample parking, two refrigerators, large pantry and water trampoline. For future guests, we would like to clarify a few points. Villa Nordica was built in 2019 and is our personal lakefront home and piece of paradise. We take great pride in maintaining it and preparing it carefully for every arrival. Every bed is stripped, cleaned and made with fresh linens before each new group arrives. During this stay, a concern about the bedding was brought to our attention the morning after arrival, and we immediately sent our cleaning person to replace the linens. The other concerns mentioned in the review were not brought to our attention until after departure, so we did not have the opportunity to inspect or address them during the stay. The lakefront experience is an important part of Villa Nordica. In addition to the water trampoline, we have a raft in the water, and additional lake toys such as kayaks and paddleboards can easily be rented locally from a lake-based provider. We intentionally do not keep kayaks and paddleboards at the property because of the liability and maintenance involved. We also normally have a strict no-pet policy. We made a special exception for this reservation at the guest’s request, with specific conditions because of the home’s furnishings and rugs. Unfortunately, we subsequently received complaints from neighbors that the dog was outside and uncontained. For the protection of the property and the consideration of our neighbors, we will be returning to our normal no-pet policy for future reservations. We are always grateful when guests let us know about something that needs attention while they are at the property. Our local team is available to respond, and had we known about the additional concerns during the week, we would have gladly investigated them rather than learning about them after checkout. Villa Nordica is not a generic vacation rental. It is our privately owned lakefront home, thoughtfully furnished and equipped for families and groups to come together and enjoy the lake, the outdoors and one another. We continually maintain and improve our home, and we appreciate the positive comments as well as the feedback that helps us make it even better. Note on the power washing mentioned here - it can only be done weather permitting and this year it has rained continuously. Still waiting for the yearly power washing to take place. Most importantly, we want future guests to know exactly what makes Villa Nordica special: a beautiful private lakefront setting, generous indoor and outdoor spaces, room for families to gather together, and the feeling of staying at someone’s very special home on the lake.

We’re so glad to hear that you loved the villa. You are amongst the first to stay at the newly listed Villa Nordica. It is disappointing that there was some confusion as to the general house rules, which are quite typical to most vacation rental properties. Also, it is unusual to have guests park on a new lawn with lots of large vehicles, creating a rush for the landscapers to repair the damage before the arrival of next guests. Turning over a large property during a day from one group to next, is a demanding task and that is why it is important that after guest leaves, it has been maintained in a way that allows the next guests to enjoy the same luxury.
