Why Knot? has been our family’s favorite stay in all the years we have booked beach houses in Ocean Isle. Kristin and Kent were communicative and welcomed us into a clean and beautiful home, stocked with everything we could possibly need or want during our stay. We especially enjoyed the downstairs outdoor area and dock: breakfast on the Blackstone, sitting together in the swings and rocking chairs for our meals, fishing off of the dock, and boating through the waterway. The guest who enjoyed our stay the most may have been our dog. Thanks to the fenced-in outdoor area (and the kiddie pool), he had a week of sun and fun too.Thank you Kristin and Kent for lending our family the perfect place to make great summer memories.

Nicest Ocean Isle We Have Stayed At

We have been staying at Ocean Isle for 33 years. This was by far the cleanest and best maintained property we have stayed at. It was nicely decorated and the kitchen was large with plenty of pots, plates, glasses, bowls, etc.

Comfortable and Cozy!

Kristin and Kent have a wonderful canal home and were gracious with their time and making sure our stay was great! We loved the screened in porch and appreciated the comfort of the beds. I would definitely stay again!

Beachy Christmas

We had an amazing stay at Why knot. The hosts were great communicators and the house was nicely equipped. Would definitely recommend.

Great beach w for a friends getaway!

Love that all 5 bedrooms have a bathroom. And a 1/2 bath in the living room too. Convenient to beach access. Love that this place is dog friendly too.

Why Knot was one of the best vacation spots I've been on

First off the Why Knot house is amazing with breathtaking views. Close to shops yet quiet as if your in the country. Very close to shops, beach and activities (most are walking distance from house) our hosts were unbelievable and we're available anytime via text for any questions I had.

Relaxing stay at OIB

We had a great time. The kitchen was well furnished, the bedrooms were spacious, and the outdoor areas were beautiful. From morning coffees and sunrises in the screened in porch to a family fish fry and crab boil at the picnic tables, there were many memories to be had. I would 10/10 recommend and stay here again!

All you would need and then some!

Great space - both outdoors and indoors. There is something for everyone here at this well appointed conveniently located home. This property will not disappoint. We can't wait to return.

Great spot at OIB

Loved Why Knot and definitely plan on returning. Great location and within walking distance to morning coffee, evening wine, and mini-golf for the kids. And it looks like there’s a boat rental that will deliver to the dock out back. House was in great shape and the hosts were very helpful and thoughtful.

Wonderful time on OIB!

I can’t say enough about how great our experience was with our stay. Kristin and Kent were so helpful. The house is exactly as described/pictured and wonderfully clean and had everything you could need. Great beach a short lwalk away. Will definitely be back.

We had a perfect vacation!

I can’t say enough about our stay at WhyKnot. The home was so comfortable and had everything you could need and more: a full kitchen, screened-in porch, and amazing outdoor area under the house. Right on the canal and only a few minutes to the beach. Kristin and Kent were so kind and helpful. I hope to go back!

Great house!

Everything was great! There are a lot of extras in the house. The downstairs was perfect for hanging out after the beach and tne shower was a bonus. No complaints!

Wonderful relaxing stay at Why Knot?! Quiet and friendly location, with picturesque Ocean Isle Beach as the centerpiece to a perfect vacation. Vacation with our “boys”

My wife and I spent a week in OIN with our 2 medium sized labradoodles. The place was perfect for us!!! Very clean and well maintained! The hosts were so gracious and left a small gift bag for us with wine, tennis ball and poop bags! We will definitely be back! Wonderful place and wonderful hosts!!!

Great House!

This house has it all! Perfect outdoor space with all the amenities. Indoors is spacious and beautiful. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, kid and pet friendly. Best hosts ever!! We had a great time and can't wait to return to this special spot. Thanks to the Couch family for sharing your home.

Amazing cottage!

We loved our stay at WhyKnot! Everything was perfect, and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. It was a quiet, relaxing week, which was exactly what we wanted. Our little dog loved it too! Thank you, Kristin, for providing outstanding communication, and always being so prompt in your replies. We will definitely return to this wonderful cottage!

Great Family Vacation!

We loved our time as a family staying at Why Knot. Kristen and Kent were wonderful! We rented a golf cart and enjoyed exploring the different beach access points. You can walk to the beach, but this made it easier with all our chairs and umbrellas. The dock was great for fishing and the space under the house was fun to relax and play games after a day at the beach! Highly recommend!

Wonderful home on the canal

We had a wonderful time at Why Knot?! It is everything you need for a great beach vacation! The kitchen was well-stocked with the things we needed to cook and the outdoor spaces are fantastic. The kids really enjoyed fishing from the dock. The location is great as it’s close to the beach and the center of the island. Communication from the owners was also great. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely Amazing

The Property was everything we wanted! Kristin and Kent were the best hosts and we’re so Thoughtful. They went out of their way to make our stay phenomenal! The communication was exceptional. The house is stocked with everything you want,need and more!!! Whyknot is the place to stay!
