Rising Sun Retreat bright and spacious cabin set on the banks of the Skykomish River with the stunning peaks of Mt. Index towering above. Everyone will be sure to enjoy a memorable getaway with amenities such as the sparkling covered hot tub, outdoor fire pit, and cozy wood stove. The 1200 square foot interior features a bright and spacious atmosphere, with an open living room and kitchen space, a large bedroom suite with a private balcony, and multiple decks. Your local hosts are ready to help with your plans and make the most out of your Pacific Northwest adventures!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Gold Bar. The house was very comfortable for two people. My only suggestion would be to add a small built-in closet in the sitting area of the master bedroom. We were attending a wedding that weekend and there wasn’t anywhere to hang up our suits, shirts, dresses and blouses.

The place was wonderful, it was peacefully located in what felt a very private area. The one thing that would have been great is the pathway to the river from the house be more accessible. It was a bit overgrown with nature so a bit challenging with kids . Host was very responsive to questions.

We had a fantastic stay at Tree Line. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The river and Mountain Views from the rental were awe inspiring. There is a little farm across the road with chickens, sheep and a llama that our dog fell in love with. The hot tub was so inviting after a day of hiking and exploring and it was so nice to see the stars that are blocked by the light pollution in the city. Some items to note for your trip: WiFi could be spotty so make sure to plan ahead. Shops and restaurants tend to close early. There is no dishwasher. The sole bathroom is on the upper floor. These weren’t issues for us but may be for others. I believe all this is stated upfront on the VRBO page. We would absolutely stay here again.

Cabin was adorable. It was set on a dirt road Ange you have to travel a couple of miles on the dirt road. Car will get very dirty. Quiet and clean place. Perfect for a couples getaway. The additional bedroom was detached from the main house and there was no bathroom for that bedroom. Occupants of the second bedroom have to go outside andup the stairs into the main house and then up another set of stairs to the second story to the only bathroom. Communication and check-in process or very good.

Overall the stay was great! My only complaints are that the only bathroom was on the third floor, the hot tub tripped the breaker a couple times and there wasn’t a washer or dryer available on site. The place was very clean, comfortable and had an amazing view!

Rising Sun Retreat was relaxing

We wanted to get away for a few days and this was the perfect location. The property was as advertised. Beautiful accommodations, amenities, scenery, and easy access to the river. Overall the stay was exactly what the doctor ordered!

Great place on river

We enjoyed the natural beauty of the property. It really does feel like you are in a tree house. We also loved the hot tub on the deck. Listening to the river flow was relaxing.

We really liked the cabin and river view. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great. Had a big storm with power outage overnight and next morning. We did build a fire to stay warm and used the tea kettle on the wood stove to boil water for coffee!

Beautiful location on the river. Enjoyed several days of hiking and then soaking in the hot tub. Home was very well-maintained and comfortable. Host was prompt with communication. No unusual expectations for check-out. We did not use the second bedroom not connected to the house. Close to restaurants in Gold Bar.

Great location

The highlight, for me, was the location. Cascades towering above, stunning scenery everywhere. An amazing canyon in the neighborhood. The cabin was great. Hot tub was great. All good. Would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful and relaxing

Had a peaceful and relaxing stay. Hearing the river all day and night was great; wish more of the foliage was cut back so you could enjoy more of a view of the river throughout the property.
