Wonderful, peaceful location!

We spent a few days at this gorgeous house close to Donner Lake and I couldn't recommend it enough! The location is ideal (only a quick drive to the lake), so it's perfect for either a beach day of relaxation or a water adventure. The neighborhood is very peaceful. The home itself is cozy and perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for a quiet retreat in the middle of nature. Donner Lake is truly such a gem, looking forward to going back!

Amazing place to stay in Tahoe area

I had an amazing experience staying at this cabin. It was so homey and gave the amazing Tahoe experience we were hoping for. Super close to the ski resort and close to the sledding hill. A quick drive also to downtown Truckee. We can’t wait to return and will definitely be staying at this cabin again.

Gorgeous! Great for Kids & Parents!

Our family stayed here on more than one occasion, and it was great! It has everything you could possibly need. A perfect place to bring your family! The primary bedroom is huge, and it feels like its own getaway overlooking the trees. The loft is also awesome for kids to hang out. The kitchen and family area is spacious, and it’s so fun to all spend time together. I highly recommend staying here!

The location of the property was great, and the hot tub was wonderful. The property was however not clean at all. We needed to rewash our sheets before bed. There was pet hair everywhere in the house including in the beds as well as human hair that was not ours. The bed linen was very dated and worn, lots of cobwebs throughout the house and there was laundry left in the dryer upon our arrival. I paid a large cleaning fee for this house, and it was NOT worth it at all. I reach out to the management company, and I did not even get an acknowledgment until a second email on the last night of our stay and there was just a "received thank you" response that was it. Perhaps this location is new to hosting however they are being helped by a management company, and I was expecting more from them. I will go back to renting from families/personal people and stay away from management companies like this in the future.

Beautiful Cabin!

Had an absolute wonderful time here. Right in the heart of the snow and close to town! The house is very spacious with plenty of room for the entire family. The master bedroom was a dream. It was huge and had a big, comfy bed. The attached private bathroom exceeded any expectation I could’ve had. The shower was awesome, it was like a spa with 3 shower heads. I have to also shoutout the heated toilet seat! Also, right when you walk outside there is a hot tub! This house was so perfect and I will be staying here again!

Ready for a lovely getaway?

This home is absolutely beautiful! From the large garage with ping pong table, full laundry set, enormous master bedroom and bathroom, second bedroom with 1/2 bathroom, upstairs bedroom plus full bath and loft has space for 2 people, spacious living room with beautiful fireplace, gorgeous views, large dining room and kitchen, wine bar, large refrigerator and freezer, large stove/oven, dishwasher and microwave, full amenities including hot tub. We love staying here with our family and friends. It’s extremely clean and well stocked. It’s gorgeous!!! We can’t wait to come back!

Nice winter stay

We had a nice stay here. The house is in great condition, very close (1 minute drive) to the rec center, golf course and coffee shop, as well as less than 5 minutes from the downhill ski resort. The hot tub was great for after skiing and is directly outside the master bedroom which was convenient. We didn’t use it, but there is an upstairs bathroom, bedroom and sitting room. If you had two groups of ppl they would be in separate parts of the house which is a nice feature. I was on zoom calls for work and the WiFi worked very well. One of the better WiFi experiences I’ve had while traveling. Would definitely stay here again, no issues at all

Best house in the best location!

We had the best stay at this wonderful home over the holidays. The house itself is in pristine condition, with the highlight being the massive master suite! What a luxury. Yet, it is hard to chose as this entire home is appointed so well. The kitchen, the bathrooms, and the hot tub! For the kids, even during winter, the hot tub was the star of the show. They even had a christmas tree in the garage that we were able to put up and decorate for the stay! And it looked beautiful. Location wise, you really couldn't beat it either. So close to so many amenities. Being able to walk to the little community store, that was surprisingly stocked with so many great products was so helpful. The rec center and then the snow play area was perfect. As someone who grew up going to Truckee every year, many times, the location to the downtown was perfect as well. Only a 5 minute drive at most and you're straight downtown where we enjoyed all the shops and a great dinner at Moody's. We certainly cannot say enough about this house, it's a hidden gem. We plan to be back for sure, maybe next time in the summer since it's also so very close to Donner Lake.

The house is in a nice location, and is generally in good condition. The advertisement says it sleeps 9, however the bedding was only available for 6 people, the rest was locked away in an accessible closet and when I called the emergency host and told her that several of us have no bedding, she told us to turn up the heat and that was it. The post said there are amenities for extra charge, but there was nothing in the master bath except dishwashing liquid poured into a handsoap bottle. The post also says to throw the Used towels and bedding into the washing machine, which I did however there’s no laundry detergent anywhere in the house so it makes me wonder how long those sheets have been getting washed with no detergent. Also, when I got there, the ceiling fan in the master bedroom was on and the remote control to turn it off had a dead battery. There were no extra batteries that matched but luckily I found one in a different remote in the house otherwise it would be pretty cold to sleep in the winter with the running ceiling fan.

We followed up with the homeowner after reviewing your comments, and they wanted to share the following:- The listing accurately reflects the home’s sleeping arrangements, which include three beds that accommodate two guests each, three bathrooms (two with showers), and a loft area. Additional bedding for air mattresses is stored in designated closets, including an upstairs closet intended to be accessible to guests. The living area also includes a sectional sofa that may be used as an additional sleeping space if needed. We’re reviewing the storage setup to ensure linens are easy to locate and addressing any access issues to prevent confusion moving forward. While spare batteries are not typically kept onsite, we would have been happy to assist had this been reported during the stay. My thoughts

The house is great and great location for out skiing location and town.The only thing we had issues with is the floor looked like they did not sweep it at least they did not do a very good job of it and the garbage bag/ can were full but the bag was tied so I think they thought about it. the Hot tub cover was very very heavy to lift. but our friends it was very nice once you get the cover up. there was also a beer out there and a opener out there on the step. last thing which I thought was the bigger problem is top blanket or bed spread was dirty and hair all over it. My wife just said the sheet in the master bed room has a tear in it right by the fitted part of the sheet. So I just think the house keepers need a talking to.Put again the house was it self was great we would consider renting next year.Greg

The perfect Tahoe getaway

I just had the most incredible stay at this 3-bedroom cabin in Truckee, and I can’t rave about it enough! From start to finish, this place exceeded all our expectations.One of the standout features of this cabin is its unbeatable proximity to everything. It’s just a short, pleasant walk to the member pool. A very short drive to Donner Lake, with private beach access! And a beautiful drive over the hill to Lake Tahoe. Whether it was a morning swim, an afternoon lounging by the shore, or a sunset view, having such easy access was a huge plus. Inside, the cabin is a true gem. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care has gone into making this place both stylish and comfortable. The modern updates and tasteful decor give it a fresh, contemporary feel while still maintaining that cozy cabin charm. The open-concept living area, well-equipped kitchen, and beautifully furnished bedrooms made it perfect for relaxing or hosting friends and family.The cabin is set in a lovely, serene neighborhood that perfectly complements its beauty. The scenic surroundings and well-maintained area created a peaceful setting while lounging on the deck out front or relaxing in the hot tub out back. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and tranquil environment to unwind in. Overall, this cabin is everything you could want for a Tahoe vacation. Its fantastic location near the lake, gorgeous interior, and beautiful neighborhood make it a top-notch choice. I left feeling completely refreshed and already can’t wait to come back!

Decent Cabin, but Broken Fireplace / Features. Unresponsive on Snow Removal

Overall, a decent cabin that needs more attention. Cabin sleeps 6 comfortably, with one larger bedroom, and two smaller rooms with queen size beds (would not recommend for more than 3 couples). Location is good - about ~10 minute drive from Truckee. You definitely want 4 wheel drive to make it in snow, as you need to drive up a large hill to reach the cabin The fireplace was broken, which was quite disappointing for a winter rental. Property manager did stop by for this, and claimed it couldn't be fixed. Other items were broken as well (cracked chairs, deck sliding doors off track, etc.) suggesting the property needs better care. Airflow in the home is also strangely poor, resulting in one bedroom very hot (80+ degrees) and the other two very cold if you shut bedroom doors (we had to leave bedroom doors open after a sleepless first night). The hot tub on the lower deck is very nice Management was unresponsive to multiple inquires on snow removal options for the driveway, which was especially frustrating after a neighbor confirmed they typically have a removal service for the property. It ultimately took 3 adult males ~2 hard hours to sufficiently dig the long driveway out to get our SUV out of the garage. I'd avoid this property if you are expecting snow. For the price, you should not be spending your morning shoveling

Hello Matt, thank you for letting us know about your stay! The owner wanted to share the following: - We are deeply sorry for the issues you encountered during your stay. The guest prior to your reservation turned the fireplace off and a technician was needed to re-light the pilot so we were not able to get it fixed while you were in the home. The fireplace has been fixed and is now in working order with a sign for guests to not turn it off. - The previous guests also reprogrammed the temperature setting on the Nest thermostat. We have readjusted the setting and have placed a sign near it asking guests not to adjust it. - Your reservation was on New Year's weekend which was a busy holiday with extreme weather conditions. The property manager had a lot of requests to get through and responded to you as quickly as possible. We pay for a shoveling company called Elements that cleans the driveway every day but was backed up due to the holiday season. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us to improve for our future guests!

Lovely, spacious home!

Great location, lovely home with lots of space for our family to spread out. Having the hot tub right of the master bedroom was a welcome treat after a day on the slopes! Highly recommend.
