The house was a dream. The location is perfect with such close proximity to the beach, it’s no big deal to return to the house if you forgot something. A short and pleasant walk to Rosemary Beach restaurants and shops. Would stay here again and again!

We absolutely adored Scout’s Lookout. The photos are gorgeous but they don’t do this property justice - it’s even more beautiful & spacious in person. The house was spotlessly cleaned & inviting. The location can’t be beat with a 1-minute walk to the pool & a 2-minute walk to the private beach (which was great since we had a multigenerational family trip & the grandparents easily navigated both). Everyone loved the house so much that the family consensus is that we come back next year. We highly recommend this property.

Spotlessly clean and beautiful. Hassel-free check-in. All appliances were in perfect working order. There was a Keurig even though the listing said drip coffee only. Comfortable beds. Plenty of pots and pans. So close to the beach access. Tons of walkable restaurants; right by the tunnel under highway 98 so we didn’t even have to cross the road to get to the Donut Hole. Credit at LDV got us two completely free bikes!

Perfect Beach House for a Large Group Getaway!

We loved our time at Scout’s Lookout. It was a short walk to the beach and several restaurants and shops. We had everything we needed provided in the house which made cooking for a large group so easy! It was also very clean. We will definitely be back!

Scout’s Lookout

We have stayed at Scout’s Lookout several times the last 3 years and always enjoy our stays! This recent stay was with a 2 and 4 year old and it was the perfect spot. Perfect walking distance from pool, private and public beach, and all of the Rosemary and Inlet Beach attractions. We never use our car and all of the necessities are provided. We will be back!

Favorite Beach House Ever

This beach house was clean and beautifully decorated and had all the room we needed for our group of 11. It was well stocked with everything including beach equipment. Short walk to the beach and pool. We loved our stay!

Great location and layout of rooms for all to enjoy. Location to beach and pool was perfect.

We had a wonderful family beach trip!! Plenty of room for a family of eight. Beautiful home and location is perfect for beach, pool, Rosemary and wonderful shopping and restaurants. The beach is perfect for young children and family fun. Shallow water, sand bar to play on. We will definitely be staying here again!!

Great Location and House

We had a great vacation at Scout's Lookout. The property was very clean and in close proximity to the beach and shopping at Rosemary Beach. Our only wish would be that the house could add a large icemaker. Will definitely be back!

We have been to Rosemary Beach a few times. By far the nicest place we have stayed. East beach access, quiet and clean home. Does not come with beach chairs (as stated) so you will have to factor that in. Great stay. Would stay again.

Excellent house & great location

Overall the house was clean and spacious for our family of 8, plenty of amenities. Location was exceptional and the private beach was a bonus, never fighting for room among the crowd. Only complaint is that a few of the bedrooms had some bright morning light coming in from upper windows with no blinds or curtains. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing Stay

Our family truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this home. It comes with access to a private beach just a short walk away. We also walked and rode our bikes to nearby Rosemary Beach for restaurants and shopping. Publix is close too. The home is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed grilling on the deck. The property manager and owner were fantastic. They were super flexible and accommodating when we asked to extend our stay. Overall our stay was amazing.

Fabulous

My entire family loved Scout's Lookout. Plenty of space for the 10 of us. Beach was close. Pool much nicer than in the pictures. Restaurants and ice cream within walking distance. Make restaurant reservations before arriving.

Loved this house!

Loved the location, so easy to get to pool and beach. House was perfect. Kitchen has everything ... had a sink disposal issue and they came to fix right away! Would definitely stay here again. Toiletries for the shower were provided. Brought our own beach towels and chairs. Rented set ups and bikes through vacayzen, that was great! Communication was perfect! Thanks again.

Scout's Lookout 2024

This is a wonderful property. This is the second year our family has been to Scout's Lookout. Pool access and beach access is great. The house is great and is always spotless when we arrive. Communication and check-in were good and without problem. We had a small issue with one of the HVAC units, but a service technician arrived within an hour to correct it. We hope to come back next year.

Beautiful summer home

Overall, beautiful home and great location. The weather was colder than expected and the pool was not heated. If the weather isn’t perfect, you have limited access to amenities (heated pool, hot tub, playground, etc). If you are planning to go with young active children, may not be the property to stay at during temporary weather.

Scout's Lookout Review

Just got back from staying a week. This house is way bigger than the pictures let on. It is wonderful for large groups or a game night. When we arrived, one of the patio door handles broke and I texted Kathy. She immediately responded and sent a repairman over to fix it. We also had some AC issues throughout the week, but she was very responsive and fixed it as soon as I texted her. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable! Fantastic location to the beach and the private beach access is wonderful. Highly recommend.

Convenience was everything!

My friends and I have taken our families to 30A for years and this was our best trip yet! Especially when it came to convenience. You are literally steps to both a pool and the beach. The pool is key with little ones (we had 6 kids under 7-years-old) and it was so nice to be able to run back and forth from it to the house. You can see the pool from the balcony on the main floor which would be a nice way to keep an eye on older kids. It really felt like it was in our back yard without having to worry about the easiest access for those in our crew who can't swim yet. We rented beach chairs and umbrellas, recommended by itrip, and they were located right off the access steps. The house was beautiful with plenty of room for 3 families. The top floor was perfect for sending kids up to watch a movie while we got food ready. There is a great dining table on the main floor balcony (with an umbrella) which is where we mostly fed the kids. We wished the washer/dryer had been a little bigger since we had a lot of laundry! But, that was our only *tiny* complaint! We will definitely try and rent here again!

Good property, good week

Nice property for a family of our size (Grandparents, special-needs son, daughter-husband and three grandchildren.) Even a bit large for our needs. The proximity to the beach with small children was great, and once we got in synch with the recommended beach rental outfit, that all worked out well. We didn't make use of the nearby swimming pool, as it wasn't heated. The short walk to Rosemary Beach village area was used every day. Grocery stores, short drive. The property might feel crowded once the two vacant lots on each side are built-out, but we enjoyed the extra spatial feeling. The parking pad was an unexpected high quality item. We only had two vehicles, but parking 4 cars there wouldn't even have felt crowded. The kitchen was reasonably well-outfitted, a couple of the fry pans have gotten beat-up, and need to be replaced. It was great having a large sub-zero fridge, plus a beverage fridge, AND a wine fridge. A gas cooktop would be a welcome property investment, especially before they are banned. The electric one is hard to clean, and hard to use. Wine glasses, a constant needed investment. Good quality knives and flatware. The outdoor propane grill, what to say ... you get what you pay for I guess. Char Broil grills are a cheap brand, overall. A rental property of this caliber (and cost) should invest in a better grill brand. Deck and porch furniture was all excellent quality, on all three levels. Great House!

Our 3rd year in a row. We’ll be back! Also iTrip booking (Antionette) was extremely helpful and communicative in helping us rearrange our schedule which was impacted by the Hurricane. Her service was excellent.
