This 3 bedroom cottage on the shores of Lake Erie boasts a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living spaces, laundry, outdoor fire pit and two patios – perfect for stargazing or roasting marshmallows. Also welcome guests with extended work contracts in the area, offering a peaceful, home-away-from-home experience with all the amenities needed for a comfortable getaway.

The host was very kind and it was very easy to communicate with her, the house was even more beautiful than expected and stocked with all extra amenities you could ever need.

Overall experience was amazing. Host was very fast with communication, house had everything needed with extra supplies, very clean and peaceful! Just be advised if you are a person that likes TV to fall asleep, there is only 1 in the living room but the sounds of the waves was not awful to sleep to. The lake in the back was crystal clear for my kids to cool off in and not to far down the road was a great beach/lighthouse to spend the day at! I would definitely look to rent again!

Overall it was a great place to stay. The view is beautiful. There was a nice sand bottom when we got there but then a storm came in and took it out farther. Getting down to the water is for the physically capable, same with getting the kayaks and paddle board out and in. Basic kitchenware is provided, we had to get a little creative to get some of our meals done. We had a minor issue after we arrived but the host was very responsive and had it fixed within a couple of hours. The hot tub and back patio are nice to get away from the wind. Neighbors are respectful on both sides. It was a great week to rest and relax and take a day trip to Niagara Falls.

We really loved our stay and had a great time! Host was lovely and easy to communicate with and the place was beautiful and had lots of space inside and outside. Definitely will be going back :)

Beautiful View of the Lake

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The place was clean and the host was quick to respond. The view of the lake is amazing and the sound of the waves is relaxing. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back in the future.

Beautiful cottage, nicely renovated with interesting decor. Very tidy and clean. Warm and clean water access with a sandy bottom. Great for swimming and paddle boarding. The loft bedroom was a highlight. Nicely furnished, and we enjoyed nights in the hot tub. The host was also welcoming and very accessible to help with any concerns.

Want a great sleep?

Had a great time at the Lakehouse - beautiful views, good sized kitchen and comfortable beds. We did not use the hot tub (not hot tub people) but taking the spiral staircase to the Master bedroom led us to one of the best sleeps we have had in a while. Opening the patio door, making the room cool while listening to the lapping waves sent us to dreamland. Would rent again.

We were looking for somewhere close to the lake - and it doesn't get closer than this!Whether we were sitting inside or on the outside deck, it felt like we were literally 'on the water'.Lake side was gorgeous!Beautiful views, birds everywhere, ships in the distance.On the street side, there is a fenced in private oasis to shelter from the wind. Sitting area, hot tub and outdoor fire pit. We were delighted that the wetlands across the street attract many birds to this area. We thought the upstairs bedroom was perfect with 2 pc bathroom and private deck.Although we didn't use them, the two downstairs bedrooms were very cute!One is on the lakeside with an incredible view and the other is in a quieter area away from crashing waves.This property is clean, in a safe area and so cozy. It was equipped with everything we needed and more!Our host was very easy to communicate with.We wish Darlene & John much success.We will be back again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home! It was the perfect fit for our multi-generational family trip — my parents, my husband and I, our two toddlers (ages two and three), and even our dogs felt right at home.The three bedrooms were just right for our group, and the beds were incredibly comfortable — everyone slept so well, including the kids! The fully fenced area gave us peace of mind with both the children and the dogs, who had plenty of space to play safely.The location was serene and private, with the sound of the waves making everything feel extra relaxing. There were several lovely outdoor areas to enjoy, and the beach access was a real highlight. While there are some stairs down to the beach, my parents were able to manage them — though it could be a little tricky for those with mobility concerns.The open kitchen made cooking easy, and we enjoyed some great family meals using the grill. One of our favorite features was the fireplace — it made for the perfect spot to gather and make s’mores in the evening, creating such fun and cozy memories. And the hot tub was a real bonus — the ideal way to relax after a day on the beach.Everything about the home had a cozy, welcoming feel — like a true home away from home. We’re so grateful for such a peaceful and memorable stay. We’d absolutely love to return!

An enjoyable week

We enjoyed our week-long stay at this cottage on the shore of Lake Erie. It included a washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, BBQ, fire pit and woodstove, with two bedrooms and a full bathroom on the main floor, and a larger bedroom, half bath and balcony in the loft upstairs. The cottage was well stocked with pillows, blankets and towels as well as everything we needed for making meals. The nearby towns of Dunnville and Caluga offered a wide variety of restaurants and stores. We very much enjoyed using the hot tub, and relaxing on the back deck overlooking the lake. The cottage is a reasonable drive for day trips to nearby big cities like Niagara Falls; we also took advantage of local attractions such as the Dunnville Farmer’s Market, a catered picnic at the Purple Haven Lavender Farm and an evening of art classes at the Creative Barracks. The cottage owners were very responsive when we contacted them with questions or minor issues that came up. We appreciated the little touches like the welcome message on the fridge, a basket of snacks, an assortment of books, games and DVDs, and the WiFi which easily supported 4 technology dependent adults.

Great summer getaway! Check in was a breeze, the place is bright and clean, and the lake view is phenomenal. A pleasant surprise was the low boat/jet ski activity in the area around the cottage. It was much quieter than I was expecting, even in peak summer season.

We just got back home and wanted to say what a great time we had! My spouse and I loved the gorgeous lake views and private hot tub and fire pit areas. There was a short power outage our last night and our host was very responsive and kept us informed. This little cottage on the lake was just what we needed to relax. The lake was very clear most of the time. We did not swim but we saw others swimming and kayaking. A little too chilly for us though! We had everything we needed in the kitchen, even a vase to put the flowers in that we bought at the Dunnville Farmers Market.Notes about our trip for other travelers: We stayed June 19-24, the weather was in the low to mid 70’s (F) with up to a 10-20 degree (F) difference standing out by the lake. This is a bit of a drive to Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake, but it’s a pretty easy day trip to both.The is no air conditioning here, BUT.. the wind from the lake being right outside and the screened doors and windows make it easy to keep cool, especially with cooler nights. I’m sure it’s warm and cozy in the winter and would love to visit then too!If you want to use a life jacket with the kayak or paddle board, you will need to bring your own. I would highly recommend this for a solo or couples trip. We did take our dachshund, but the yard was pretty small and may not accommodate a bigger or high energy pup.Overall, this was a great stay and we hope to be back again in the future!

Lake living is amazing fun watching the boats and fisherman from our patios. The property is surrounded by parks and unique cottages. Close to town and only 1 1/2 hrs to Toronto and 1 hr to US border.
