Perfect Mother of the Groom House

My son got married at the King and Prince and we had the best location! Plenty of parking and lots of open space. We loved the back porch to start our day and it always ended with wine on the porch too. Met all of our needs for the week. The porch was kind of dirty with a little trash. And the screens aren't in the best shape. We will rent again!!!

Location, location, location

If proximity to the beach/restaurants/King and Prince resort is what you are looking for this property is for you. Walk just about everywhere or take a golf cart rental. Food store is a 5 min drive. This house is two separate 2 bedroom residence with only outside access to the second unit which was fine for us bc we where all adults. Both kitchens where stocked with just about anything you could need to make light meals. 2 washer/dryers was key for wet towels and swimsuits. The house is a beach house, clean and neat, but not updated. We came to SSI for a wedding at the King and Prince so the location was amazing, directly across the street. Unfortunately, that also gave us the opportunity to see other homes as well. The island does have some residences that are less expensive and more updated. I do believe I got what I expected, but I do now feel it was pricey when compared to other rentals our family members stayed in. If a rustic beach house is your expectation this is your unit. Communication with the rental company was excellent and they were quick to respond and help with whatever we needed. We had a great trip!

Excellent location with Tipsy Turtle

We enjoyed the home. It was clean and furnishings very updated with a beachy vibe. The second floor has 2 really nice bedrooms with a kitchen and washer dryer and my adult children in their early thirties loved it. The first floor has a king bedroom with bath and there is a full kitchen on that floor as well. The little ones ages 3, 5 and 12 stayed in room with a set of bunk beds that are full size and there is also a separate twin bed. There’s a bathroom very close to that room that the children used. The screened in porch was a big hit with the 30 somethings. My sister came down and stayed right across the street at the King & Prince the last few days we were there. We had a wonderful vacation at this home. The only thing that needs to be addressed is shower curtain and exhaust fan in the bathroom on second floor, there was some mold on both but this should be a very easy fix and were having such a good vacation we didn’t allow this to bother us. I would definitely rent this home again as I loved the location and layout for our family.

Disappointed

The unit was extremely hot and itt took maintenance four and a half hours to come check out the AC unit after we got to the house. The maintenance guy had to manually override the thermostat because it kept changing the air back up to 82. We got there at 4:00 and it began to get cool at 8:30 that night, We had no water pressure in our unit.
