River Breeze Chelet

Relax and unwind at the secluded River Breeze Chalet while being serenaded by the nearby Sandy River. Enjoy the cozy and comfy furnishings in the great room with the woodstove while watching your favorite TV shows, movies and sporting events on the big screen TV or prepare a delicious meal in the modern and fully-equipped kitchen. Dine at the cozy kitchen nook table or walk out to the deck with the gas grill and dine al fresco.

Your dogs are welcome to join you here and they will love taking walks on the mile and a half gated, dead-end road. You will be close to dozens of miles of hiking and biking trails just minutes from the front door. The kids will have lots of fun exploring the forest tree fort in the backyard. End your day relaxing in the private hot tub with a roof to keep the rain and snow off your head.

River Breeze Chalet is perfect for one or two couples or a small family. There are two upstairs bedrooms, each with a queen bed and full bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower between them. There is a half bathroom and laundry room downstairs.

This is a dog friendly property, maximum of two pup(s) allowed. Please keep your pup off the furniture (including the couches, chairs, and beds) and pick-up after your pup.

All cleaning policies meet or exceed CDC standards and recommendations. Our team wears new masks, gloves and shoes covers each time they enter home to prepare it for a new stay. We clean and disinfect all hard surfaces and high-touch items such as appliance handles, light switches, door knobs, remote controls, etc. We also clean and disinfect all dishes/glassware, silverware, bedding, towels and other linens as well as tubs and toilets. Meredith Lodging has added the extra measure of a pre-check-in inspection to make sure all of our cleaning and disinfecting procedures are complete and to our standard before you arrive.

Once it passes inspection, your home sits empty until you arrive for your contact-free check-in. Additionally, if your home features a private hot tub, rest assured it is disinfected, treated and cleaned thoroughly after each departure so that you and your guests can enjoy it with peace of mind during your stay.

This property has a mouse problem. Mgmt left a mouse trap behind the TV and forgot to check it before I arrived. I found a live mouse pinned in the trap, his foot amputated by the trap. I was horrified and had to take the poor thing outside. Also, the grill ran out of propane 5 minutes after we started using it. The owners need to fix the problems in this home before renting it. Most certainly, I will not trust any Meredith Lodging properties again.

I'm very sorry your stay fell so short of expectations. I can imagine that it was distressing to find the mouse and will absolutely remind our housekeeping team to check the traps during each clean. Our maintenance team is working on locating and sealing pest entry points and we placed the traps in the meantime with the intention of keeping any stray rodents from disturbing our guests. We have also reminded the housekeeping team to check the propane tank during each clean. You had every right to expect a peaceful vacation and I'm truly sorry these disturbances took away from that. Know that we are using this feedback to improve.

Great house on a gated road with lots of trees so feels very secluded. Hot tub was great and the bed was very comfy, could hear the river from the deck! Down sides were only one deck chair and the kitchen wasn't quite as fully equipped as I would expect (no baking sheet, only one kitchen knife, etc.). If you plan to do a lot of cooking, you might want to bring your own items however we did make it work! Overall really loved staying here and would def come back.

Such a pretty cabin in the woods! We enjoyed our stay and found the hot tub to be a lovely addition to a chilly afternoon. A deep clean to get some of the cobwebs off the vaulted ceiling/skylight would be a recommendation but everything else appeared clean and tidy. We did have the experience of the internet being down for 24 hours, but that’s no fault of the cabin.

This would have been a great stay if it was as advertised. Hot tub was not working which is why we rented this location. Owners would only give us a 25.00 hot tub credit for our inconvenience. Garbage cans were full, dog waste bucket was full. I would not recommend this location.

We're sorry to see this one-star review and that your stay fell short of expectations. The hot tub should have been in top-notch shape for you, absolutely. And I'm sorry that we fell short of that standard. Our hot tubs team did do a full drain and fill service after you checked out. They did confirm the hot tub is heating as it should, there are no problems with the heating elements. We also regret the garbage cans and dog‑waste bucket were full on arrival. That was an oversight by our cleaning team and we have since corrected this with them. Thank you for the feedback — we’ll use it to improve future stays.

Outside house/property: Pros: has deck and spa. Con: Needs lots of TLC. Decking, stairs, railings, and house needs sanded/stain (very old & worn) Plants are over growing path. No outside table or chairs to eat at. Spa spelled like old socks and looked green. No outside lights around jacuzzi. Asked for help and was still smelly and green next day. Inside house: pros: looks great Inside. Very nice wooden floors and ceilings, 2 person shower, washer/dryer and kitchen is supplied with most cooking items. CONS: First night after hiking all day we had no hot water to shower with. Had a load in the dishwasher to deal with (not ours). 2nd day they got water heater working for 1 good shower. Next morning we tried the jacuzzi (sticky) and went to shower.... NO HOT WATER! Yes we had to use cold water. They only offered us 50 and 10% of next visit after paying around 600 for 2 nights. Recommendation - I wouldn't stay here because how the house has been taken care of by the management system. Stay at resort your girlfriend will love you way WAY MORE. Not a first class operation compared to other places.

There were numerous problems with this property. When we arrived, the hot tub was green and we had no hot water. No one could come out to fix either until the next morning, which then turned into the afternoon. After they fixed it, the hot tub still left a weird smell on your skin (even after showering more than once). The hot water went out again the next day. The bbq's propane was empty the first time we went to use it. They said we can fill it and get reimbursed. When we asked for a refund they said they could only give us 100. We asked for a third of our trip to be reimbursed (100 was 10%). We are still waiting to hear from management if they can reimburse us anymore (that was 5 days ago). We've been waiting to write a review to see if they would eventually make things right, but it's clear management does not care about making things right.It was a pretty place but not worth the money. The basic things that they advertised (literally in the title of the property) were not delivered on. Then the smaller things started adding up. The main bed was really uncomfortable, the deck was sketchy with loose planks everywhere, and there was only one worn down Adirondack chair so we used our own camping chairs.Our relaxing cabin in the woods trip turned into an ongoing inconvenience and disappointment even weeks later.

Shortly after your report we dispatched maintenance and have had the hot tub drained, treated, and retested. The water heater was serviced, and the grill’s propane has been replaced. We also will inspect the mattress and the deck boards and will schedule improvements/repairs. We will consider adding additional outside furniture as well. You are right in saying you shouldn't have needed to worry about a single one of these items, and I'm sincerely sorry that wasn't the experience you had. It is VERY relaxing location

We loved this place, it's well off the main road, very quiet and private. Clean and well thought out. It was a very much needed break from 'life'.

Loved staying here while snowboarded for our 10 year anniversary. We were super comfy and had everything we needed for beautiful home cooked meals. Can’t wait to make it back!

Beautiful Place

Was a beautiful location, very close to hiking trails and food. Would definitely stay there again if we find ourselves in that area again. Going on a long hike and coming back to the hot tub was the perfect ending to the day. MT Hood is beautiful. Very quiet area.

The house was wonderful, hot tub was great, the weather wasn't that great

If it wasn't for my husband coming down with a cold and the wet weather this would've been the perfect weekend away for all of us. House is beautiful and offers a luxurious but cozy accommodations.

Great location but house needs some TLC

Location is great and very quiet. Arrival instructions are accurate and easy. However, this property needs some TLC and we found a handful of things not quite functioning as expected. Bring wood for the fire burning stove - necessary if there are cold temperatures.

We were please with the location. it was comfortable. Even though it didnt have ac which we shoulve know prior to checking in. However, at night it was pleasant. The sheets on the bed had dog hair and smelled. The floors had not been vacuumed in a while as evident by the dog hair. The back porch was very nice. But it needs more chairs. The house is in need of extensive maintenance.

Excellent location in a gated cabin community. The inside has some nice upgrades. Could definitely be a bit cleaner but it is a cabin in the woods. Biggest disappointment was the hot tub. It was in a great spot totally secluded. The tub was not secured when we checked in and was dirty and very, very low on water level. It's disappointing when you rent a place with a hot tub and pay the price for a hot tub property and it doesn't deliver. Nice deck though and quiet road.

Very nice stay

We went out for a quick weekend trip. They house and property were as described. We were disappointed that we were unable to access the river from the property. You can hear the river but cannot see it except very vaguely through the trees towards the back corner of the property. We had a nice relaxing time overall.

Beautiful, quiet, luxurious, elegant

We celebrated our 15th anniversary at your lovely home. Thank you so much! Everything was perfect!!!! The hot tub, kitchen, bedrooms, fireplace. All were wonderful. Wish you would have had a DVD player though as we wanted to watch our wedding movie while we were there. Thanks!

Cozy Getaway

Tucked back off the road enough to allow for quite. The sound of the river while soaking in the private hot tub was divine. The wood burning stove was soothing and super warm. Beds were firm and we slept hard. Kitchen had all we needed and then some. Only off putting thing was lots and lots of spider webs. In the rafters, lamps, corners in all rooms.

Lovely local cabin stay!

We stayed with another couple for our annual cabin trip, where we pick local cabins in the region to stay for a mini getaway. The house was fantastic, cozy and charming. We were able to fit the four of us perfectly and welcomed our dogs so easily. I think the downfall was the stairs, which were a little scary! But literally everything else was wonderful and allowed us to have a relaxing stay. Thank you so much!

Forest Relaxation

I booked this property for my partner and a couple friends. The house is beautiful and extremely private, tucked into the forest; which was perfect for us as it was much needed to unplug and disconnect from a busy work life. Check in was easy but the service is not great in the area so make sure to have all your check in info beforehand so you don’t have to drive back to the main road. Lots of trails nearby and the Sandy River is a short walk. The beds were comfortable. Jacuzzi is located amongst the trees and was very nice. Definitely recommend staying here.
