The house was clean overall, but the couch and chairs were covered in stains. Also, all the bedroom windows had what appeard to be nold or mildew in the tracks. The mattress in the primary bedroom was the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on and the couch was literally falling apart. Finally, our door code for the front door did not work until EXACTLY 4 pm. We had a 7 hour drive to get there and arrived 9 while minutes early and couldn't get in. I needed to use the bathroom so badly, but we had to sit in the driveway for that extra 9 minutes before we could get in. I've never experienced that at any other vacation home we've rented. Overall, not a terrible place, but I'd look elsewhere if you have other options.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I’m very sorry that cleanliness issues detracted from your stay and that the mattress was uncomfortable. The housekeeping team will review your notes in detail and remedy the issues. They will complete a quality control inspection on the mattress promptly, too. For security purposes, our locks do automatically work only at check-in time. Should a guest need to get in early, we are only a call away and we can almost always accommodate a request to get in a few minutes early. We truly appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve.

Thank you for staying with us and for the review. I’m sorry your stay didn’t earn five stars. I’m glad the space worked for your needs, but apologize you found signs that pets had been in the property — that shouldn’t have affected your experience. I’ve notified housekeeping to perform a deep clean in any pet-affected areas and to reinforce our pet-cleaning checklist. We appreciate the feedback and will use it to improve.

Great little beach house only a 1/4 mile walk to the beach. Fairly private beach accessed only by this small community. The house itself was nice, clean and tidy. It was pet friendly and we took our two dogs. Once there however, it did say no pets on furniture. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and cooking items, but no essentials when it comes to food or condiments. But there are good food accommodations nearby be it groceries or restaurants. Even within range to get delivery from Walmart in Newport. Overall an amazing experience and planning on turning this into a yearly trip and location!

Overall this was a very cute house. The appliances we pretty dated and the stove fan and stove top and oven light were dated and wonkey, not working the best. The kitchen was stocked with all dishes and utensils needed, but make sure you bring any needed cooking sprays, seasonings and coffee with you. The furniture in the livingroom was comfy, but worn and had stains all over it. A good couch cover would be great. The carpet in the bedrooms, especially the master were pretty gross looking, covered in what appeared to be dog urine stains, so that definitely needs to come out as the master has the odor of dog urine as well. A good laminate and rug would be so much cleaner in there. Overall pretty good. No ocean or water views from the windows, just houses, but it is really close to the water and we had a good time. I would stay here again if the couch was replaced or had a clean cover and definitely only if carpet in the rooms was replaced, just made it feel very unclean.

Thank you for pointing out the home's charm, the kitchen supply, the comfortable living-room seating, and the convenient proximity to the water. I'm sorry the appliances, some furnishings, and the bedroom carpeting fell short of expectations. We’ve asked maintenance to inspect the stove fan, cooktop controls, and oven and make a plan for improvements. We'll also have the housekeeping team deep clean the upholstery and carpet. Thank you for the detailed feedback — it helps us improve.
