Great house to stay in for the Ironman race. Close enough to walk to the historic downtown and far enough away not to be stuck in any traffic.

Great visit to Wilmington

This property was a great home base for our vacation in Wilmington. Very comfortable, so close to downtown. Would be happy to stay here again!

Wilmington NC 24’

Property was very clean, well kept and close to downtown. The location was ok (which is out of owner control) but the rear driveway is beneficial for safe entry into property and keeps your vehicle off the street.

Location was key. So close to downtown. I saved on ubers being able to walk. House is very clean. Coffee bar was well stocked with options too. 3 bathrooms made life very convenient. I would stay here again.

Just be wary and you'll be fine.

I was completely unfamiliar with Wilmington when I made this booking, and wanted a "beach vacation" for our family. I didn't do literally any research and picked the highest-starred rental from a list of options, so a lot of this is "my bad," honestly.This house is in a VERY mixed area as far as quality of homes, behavior of neighbors, etc. Typically of a lot of historic districts, there were houses which were boarded up or falling apart, and then houses which were pristine. The neighbor keeps a lot of eclectic stuff on his porch and came out to wish us a nice vacation / offer help or weather updates as he saw us outside. We did not feel safe walking at night, and observed lots of concerning behavior on our walk to downtown at 2 p.m.When we first got in, I did a walkthrough of the house and found the second bathroom ceiling/upper wall was covered in bleed-through mold or mildew. In the master, there's the same thing all around the bathroom fan. Water droplets collected on the rusted a/c vent in the master as well, even when we left the exhaust fan on all day. The closet of the master bedroom was also lined with mold on all walls and the ceiling. There was a definite smell of mold/mildew upstairs from this. The a/c worked well there were fans in the upstairs rooms, the windows opened (screens had a lot of holes) just fine and the stove/microwave/fridge/dishwasher/laundry were all in great shape. The toaster did not work properly and it was plugged into a surge protector which was then plugged into yet another surge protector, which is very dangerous. So we plugged it into the wall directly and hoped for the best. Cabinet space was ample.There were several roaches (large and small) found inside the home, but otherwise the bugs stayed outside. The garbage can was small, so we had to take several bags to the curb over our 3 day stay. The laundry only had 2 wash packs, so we bought and left additional ones. The selection of pans/pots is limited, but we were able to make dinner with very little struggle. Sinks, showers, and toilets all worked well and had good pressure.

Wilmington’s historic downtown neighborhoods can vary from block to block, and we encourage travelers to review the location and surrounding area before booking to ensure it fits what they’re looking for. Our home receives routine professional pest control, most recently in July, although occasional insects can still occur during Wilmington’s hot summer months. We also recently identified the discoloration in the bathroom and closet areas and are taking steps to address it. Additionally, our cleaner inspected the toaster following the stay and found it to be functioning properly. We appreciate the detailed feedback and will continue working to maintain and improve this historic home for our guests.

Cute downtown Wilmington House !!

We stayed at the property with a group of friends for a concert we attended. Our uber driver to the concert was a short 5 minutes ! The house is super cute and clean. Directions for check in and out are very clear and easy. Location is good as far as it’s great access to lots of places in Wilmington but the neighborhood of the house was our only complaint !

Great home

Great place that was close to the river view and 20 mins from Wrightsville beach. We got in late, but was still able to get in contact with someone to accommodate our stay and answer our questions. I admit I didn't read the welcome guide and instead pestered the contact for information which they gladly helped with. All the answers were in the welcome guide but the contact was still very friendly and helpful. We ran into a small problem that required a handyman and the contact was able to quickly remedy the situation while we were out. Great place to stay and can't say enough good things about the contact.

Worth staying in for a family

Only problem I had was that I am 70 years old and my phone is not able to receive text so when our daughter arrived she sent a message from her phone to get the code for entry. Just something all of the people on Vrbo should be aware of and ask the question before they assume that everyone has that capability on their phones. Other than that it was a very nice, clean home.

While the property is very beautiful as seen in pictures, we overall had a poor experience while here. The main issue is the multiple cockroaches that we saw during our stay and management’s inability to assist/accommodate us with the issue. Other issues include loud neighbors, glass in the driveway, a mildew smell in some of the bathrooms, and more.
