Short walk to Tamarindo beach and much more

Lovely grounds and location for this charming but simple vacation stay. Share dinners around the sizeable table inside or under the gazebo- next to the pool- while you enjoy the sounds of paradise.

Nice place, great location - easy walk to town. Fun to watch monkeys playing in the trees, not so much when they poop in the pool.

Overall, our stay was great. A few small things I only note for future visitors would be that location-wise, you are closer to Quepos which is not nearly as nice as Manuel Antonio which is up the mountain and would require a car (or take the local bus). The hill where you need to drive up to the apartments is quite steep, we worried about it the first time going up and down but quickly mastered. I’ll agree with other reviewers that the furniture is terribly uncomfortable. I sat outside on the balcony rather than the couch or chairs. But while I sat outside I saw iguanas, monkeys, hummingbirds, toucans, scarlet macaws, and a blue morpho butterfly? So perhaps that’s the method to the madness. My favorite part of the stay was my slow mornings watching the wildlife! The staff was very communicative and helpful. I’ll also say this place is very bare bones - BYO hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner… they did provide coffee maker with filters and a small amount of coffee. Also they have pool towels. The shower temps are hit or miss, especially in the evenings, but we were usually so sweaty and hot coming in from our hikes it actually felt nice!

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for sharing your experience. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the wildlife and those peaceful mornings outside — it’s one of the most special parts of staying here. Our location sits between Quepos and Manuel Antonio, which gives guests easy access to both — Quepos for the marina, farmers market, groceries, and banks, and Manuel Antonio for the beaches and national park. We also appreciate your feedback about the furniture. As a budget-friendly accommodation we try to keep things simple, but we are planning to update the living room furniture soon. Thanks again for staying with us and for your helpful comments. Pura vida! 🌿
