Our family had a great time. House had plenty of room for all of us and great amenities. The host was fantastic, they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip.

Family vacation

We had a great time! House had everything we needed. Grocery store was close for things we didn't pack. Owners were super responsive to any questions or concerns. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing place and great location

This house is amazing! We held a company trip for a total of 12 people. There was plenty of places to sleep, hang out, and entertain. The kitchen was fully stocked and there is a large grill on the back deck. We will definitely return again with our group!

Lake Vacation

Beautiful home with plenty of space for a large group to stay comfortably. Lake access was easy with the golf cart and we enjoyed the dock and slide. The lake cove did not have a lot of boat traffic which made it fun and safe to play. We had 6 vehicles at one point which made the driveway a little challenging but is very accommodating with 4. We loved the area.

Nice home in a quiet cove

Very nice home in a no wake cove. Property is not waterfront but a golf cart is provided to get you and your belongings to the water! Very spacious home with plenty for our young adult kids to do. Home is as advertised in the pictures and the property manager and owner very responsive to any concerns that we had!!

Fun spot

A nice property with open upstairs great for gatherings. Plenty of beds/pillow/blankets. Property manager was responsive. Lake access is a bit of a haul but a fun dock. You are nestled next to several other cabins and we just happened to be there when several loud college groups were there so the music was constantly blaring but we would rent again. Great house

Beautiful Home, Great location

We loved our stay - the home was beautiful, just as described on the site. The open kitchen/living room was perfect for our group. The walk down to the dock was a bit long and steep - but the golf cart was an awesome addition that made it easy! we loved how close the fire pit was to the house - we spent a cold day sitting around the fire and it almost made up for not being on the lake :) Only minor disappointment (although not huge, because weather was cold) was that the pool was not filled. Might be helpful to note the dates that the pool is open in the listing. Would definitely stay again.

Security deposit

It was stated that we would get a full refund of our security deposit 14 days after checkout, but it is now almost 3 weeks and we have received nothing and have not been told of any damages which there absolutely were no damages. This was in the mailing we received on the Monday before we checked in. Otherwise, the house was great, and the area is definitely a location we will come back to in the future.

We enjoyed our stay overall, and the dock was a wonderful feature. However, there are a few maintenance issues that need attention. The HVAC system requires servicing, as the temperature would rise to 80 degrees every six hours, making the home uncomfortably warm at times. The stove is in need of replacement; only the large burner functions properly, while the others were inconsistent and unreliable.The trash was overflowing upon our arrival and was not collected until Wednesday, even though our stay ended on Friday. The hot water would run cold midway through a shower, which was inconvenient.Despite these issues, we had a pleasant visit and would consider staying here again.

Fun Family Lake time!

The home was the perfect size for our reunion. The kitchen was spacious and the two fridges were awesome. House and furnishings were comfortable. Everyone commented on how the beds slept good. Didnt like having to make our own beds, first rental Ive encountered that does it that way. We were missing two pillow cases. The manager responded to all my text and got them to us right away. The hilly golf cart path was a little steep in spots that made us nervous, but didnt take away from us enjoying the property, the dock or the lake. We were down there everyday except one when we went to Dollywood. Plenty to do on Norris Lake. We loved the cave by point 19, Froggies and Shanghai.

Great property

Loved your property and was great for hosting our group with many high school kids. The only disappointing thing is that the beds did not have sheets on them upon arrival. The comforters were up on the beds, so it looked like they were made already, which was deceiving. It would have been nice to know this before we arrived, but wasn’t the end of the world. The sheet packs felt damp and our students said the dryer did not work very well. They ran very small loads for two cycles and they were still damp. Maybe the vent needs to be checked. Otherwise, we had a great stay!!!

Great Lake house

We were a group of two families that wanted a close to home location by the water for a quick getaway and this property really delivered. There was a terrible storm on our first day with flash flooding, but the house was snug and warm and completely comfortable for the 10 of us. The kitchen is well stocked, there are plenty of linens well and there is a great grill and functional golf cart. Beds were comfy and the property was very clean. There are a couple things I wish I had known. First, the parking is really tight. Luckily this house is at the end of the road and is the only house I saw with dedicated parking that was a snug fit for 2 minivans and a small suv. Sadly we had to chase off a large SUV from the next house that did not have room to park and helped themselves to our parking. All this is to say that parking is an issue. Second, the dock is not accessible if the lake is down. So if you are considering a stay from October to April, you will not be able to get to the dock. Third, the hot tub is not adequately heated and never got above 98 degrees during our stay. Fourth, the management company is not generous with the paper products or trash bags. Bring them or plan a trip to the store. That’s it though. Everything else was top notch and we would definitely stay here again!

We realize that parking can sometimes be an issue and we are happy to report we just completed a big driveway expansion so the next time you visit, there will be plenty of parking space for everyone! The TVA controls the water level and it is usually at its lowest in the winter months into early spring which can make the docks inaccessible. We are sorry to hear the hot tub was not at an ideal temperature. Our house manager is available to assist with things like that during your stay. Lastly, we supply a trash bag in each trash can, one roll of paper towels and a full roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for every rental. We truly appreciate all the feedback and strive to make everyone's stay top notch! Hope to see you again. 😊

60th celebration

The house was beautiful and the amenities were awesome! It had everything our family needed for a wonderful family celebration. The only issue was that the stove had a major electrical issue on our first full day there which prevented us from cooking for several days. we had family dinners planned that we were not able to cook. Also, we lost time on the lake, waiting for someone to come and fix it! The other thing that I would add, is that the hot tub was not very hot I would call it more of a warm tub!

Thank you for the compliments on the house and its amenities! Regarding the stove, it appears the big storm that came through on the evening of your arrival affected the electrical outlet. We were able to get our electrician out within 48 hours for a quick fix but realize you lost a couple days of the stove being unavailable and we apologize for that inconvenience. As a result we provided a means for you all to enjoy dinner out one evening. As for the hot tub, someone apparently put it in economy mode which caused the temperature to drop below the set temperature. No one contacted the House Manager about this as she would have been able to reset it for you. Thanks again for choosing Laid Back Living for your 60th celebration!

Cousins Reunion

We rented both properties so it was nice we could accommodate our large group. Our hot tub was nice but the other property next door could not get their hot tub to work so we shared. We were a little disappointed that we could not get down to the dock this time of year due to the water levels being down but enjoyed the beautiful colors of the trees surrounding us. We would definitely stay again.

Great Trip!

There were 14 adults that stayed in the house. It was perfect for what we needed. The weather was too cool to enjoy the lake, so we stayed in, watched football and enjoyed the fire pit. The hot tub may have had too much chlorine as it seemed very strong so we did not use it. The golf cart came in handy when we went down to the dock or needed to take the trash to the top of the driveway. Although, it didn't seem to hold charge for very long, it worked well enough for us. The table upstairs was perfect for meals and playing games. It was large enough for us all. We enjoyed our stay!!

Perfect Lake Getaway!

Laid Back Living lived up to its name! The house was perfect for our annual family trip to the lake. We had lots of fun at the dock and sitting out on the back deck. House setup is perfect for multiple families. Very clean and offered everything we needed. Great spot for a getaway! Thank you!

Great place

House is large and comfortable. Kitchen is very functional for large group. We enjoyed the deck, firepit, dock and kayaks. Dock is a bit of walk but the golf cart came in handy for those unable to get around as well.

Disappointments but we were able to make the most of it.

Despite the hot tub being broken upon our arrival, we enjoyed this lovely home. We were very disappointed and had rented the house based on the house having a usable hot tub. Communication was good with the property manager and attempts were made to fix the tub but in my opinion the tub should have been in working order days before we arrived. Again, we were very disappointed and made the best of it. The house is very family friendly, large table in kitchen and 2 refrigerators made it great for Thanksgiving. Having the golf cart to use was a plus. The grandchildren enjoyed riding around. However, getting down to the dock with it was a treacherous journey and one that I decided not to even attempt.

Glad to hear the house accommodated your family very well for your Thanksgiving stay. We truly apologize for hot tub issue and even though it was working prior to your arrival, we later discovered it needed a new board which has since been replaced. While we weren't able to get it repaired during your stay, we were able to offer the use of the hot tub at the home next door for you and your family. The golf cart definitely comes in handy when getting around the hilly terrain and we have worked with the HOA to create a 'less treacherous' route to the dock by way of the boat launch area.
