Mountain Top condo - gåtur til skisportssted!

Denne lejlighed ligger på et højt bjergpas med udsigt over Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort. Alligevel er det inden for Gatlinburgs bygrænser, og centrum er kun en hurtig 7 minutters kørsel. Kvarteret er meget fredeligt med et par hjem omkring lejligheden, men er placeret i god afstand for masser af privatlivets fred. Der er masser af parkeringspladser og nem adgang til vores 2 værelses lejlighed i bunden etage.

Lejligheden er fuldt udstyret med alt hvad du har brug for. Opholdsområdet har en stor stenpejs med et 50 ”LED-tv over det med adgang til gratis Netflix og gratis kabel. En meget behagelig sofa og sovesofa udgør opholdsområdet med en glasskydedør, der fører ud til dækket. Køkkenet er super praktisk med rustfrit stål komfur, mikroovn, opvaskemaskine og køleskab. Alle dine madvarer og redskaber leveres. Vi leverer også et komplet servicesæt til 6 personer, masser af køkkenudstyr sammen med en kaffemaskine, blender og brødrister. Mellem køkken og opholdsstue er der en spiseplads med plads til 5. Alle gulve her er nyt hårdt trælaminat. Uden for hoveddøren er en lille portik med opholdsområde og propangrill til grillning af saftige bøffer.

Vores soveværelser er så behagelige, det store soveværelse har en king size seng, der kigger ud på dækket gennem glasskydedøre. Overfor sengen er der yderligere 50 ”LED-tv. Ja, et 50 ”tv, selv i soveværelset! Fra soveværelset har master badet en dyb 2-personers jacuzzi-bad med 25 jetfly. .
Gæstesoveværelset har også en king size seng sammen med endnu et 50 ”LED-tv. Et andet bad i fuld størrelse servicerer dette soveværelse.

Den bedste plads i hele lejligheden er måske det store altvejrsdæk. Dette 450 kvadratmeter store dæk har et opholdsområde til 4 beskyttet mod regn og sol og derefter et solområde med gyngestole. Du kan godt bruge det meste af dit ophold hos os lige ud på vores dæk!

Ved siden af ?? lejligheden er en af husejere forening klubhuse og pool. Det er kun en 30 sekunders gåtur og er et fantastisk sted at tilbringe solrige sommereftermiddage med børnene.

Bemærk, at vores enhed er under parkeringsområdet. Fire sektioner af trapper fører dig ned til hoveddøren.

This was a great property, very convenient to downtown Gatlinburg, hiking trails and literally 5 minutes from Ober Mountain, with scenic views on the drive in either direction. The condo was a perfect size for our small family of 3. The clubhouse and pool on property was great for entertainment during downtimes.

Gatlinburg mountain condo

Great space for a family of 4. Nice deck off the back of the condo, peaceful and decently private. Just a few visits from the neighborhood bears - they stayed in the lawn.

Beautiful condo! EXCELLENT HOST!

BEAUTIFUL CONDO! Host, Steven, was an absolute pleasure to rent from. We have never had such wonderful communication with a host before! Steven not only communicated well before our stay, but would text us helpful info during our stay. Upon arrival, the condo was pleasantly clean and well equipped for our needs. Always love a condo that has two couches for four adults! Thank you Steven for allowing us to rent your beautiful Gatlinburg condo!

High Alpine Condo

Steve is an excellent host. He sent activities, excellent directions , and much more. We spent a week in the condo which has great furnishings and a most comfy king size bed. A great place to stay while in Gatlinburg.

Gatlinburg Getaway

My girlfriend and I spent the week in this very nice and comfortable condo unit as we toured the Great Smokey Mountains. After long days in the park it was very refreshing to come back to the condo and kick our feet up and relax on the deck. The daily siting of bears completed the week!!

Nice Condo for family trip!

This condo is very nice and cozy. Very close to downtown Gatlimburg and just right next to Ober mountain, probably even walking distance! Amenities are good, clean and everything is in good state! Netflix for the kids and a nice patio which probably is great in summer! No problem with parking at all, and the drive up the mountain is not bad at all! I would definitely stay here again! Thanks Steve for making sure everything was perfect!

Awesome condo!

We had a great stay at Steve’s place! He was so easy to get in touch with if we needed anything. Everything on the listing is accurate. Drive up is a little scary if you’re not used to driving in the mountains but I got the hang of it pretty quickly though! It’s in a nice quiet location but not too far from town. Pizza delivery a few miles away was great! Would stay here again!!

It was great except for the smell. It smelled like mold and gave us headaches. There has got to be something you can do to change that.

Stay was not good

Property is so outdated,the smell of mold, there is mold in the bathroom, water dripping from upstairs over the shower head, pillows dirty and the throw pillows smells of precious body odor. The sofas are sunken in , the place was dusty. The worst place I’ve ever stayed. Misleading of the stairs.. not a couple of flights down!!! more like four flights down!!! and up..not good for seniors.

Bad deal

We paid for two nights, stayed one, took the loss and moved on. Very bad location, no view, four flights of stairs Down, not a well maintained property or unit. The unit is dated and not clean, but we paid the cleaning fee..... Just another owner trying to ride the vrbo trend, one star accommodation, motel 6 is a better choice.

It is not clear in the description that you have to go down 5 set of stairs if it had been we would not have booked this condo It was musty smelling and the carpets were damp if the humidifier had been turned on that probably would not have been a issue

Absolutely perfect! You won’t regret it!

I searched for days looking for the best place to rent for our birthday week/weekend. I read through the reviews and felt I had a pretty good idea what I was signing up for. Everything is as exactly as described. Yes, there are stairs. It’s worth it! We felt we had more privacy being on the bottom floor and the view was beautiful. Yes, there are cameras on the front and back of the condo, which made us feel safe. They are not positioned in a way that makes you feel like you’re being spied on in anyway. The condo was VERY clean, nicely decorated and fully furnished. I liked having the guest card, which gave us 10-20% discount on restaurants and attractions. The drive up the mountain was an adventure, we made it the first night in the dark but again, it was an adventure we’d gladly do again. The beds were comfortable. Oh, and I heard a bear our second night there! We are already looking at dates to go back in December!

Mountain Bliss!

My family and I stayed for a week in this mountain condo, and we absolutely loved it! The home was very clean and neat. The kitchen was amazingly clean! Lovely counter tops and new appliances! We cooked 5 of the 7 days and were never without what we needed to do so. The cookwear was in better condition than expected (I've seen some scary cookwear in vacation homes), and had everything we needed as far as utensils... all in all, a great kitchen! The beds were comfortable and a welcome friend after long days of trekking through Gatlinburg! The deck/patio was wonderful. Fully shaded with seating for 6. Automatic lighting illuminates the deck area for evenings. Its where we spent most of our time when in the home. Enjoying cool breezes and visits from birds, a raccoon and mama bear with cubs(she just walked by with her cubs in tow, didnt even seem to notice we were there...but we did have bear spray, just in case). If its the sun you seek, the pool is a 1 minute walk from your door! Overall, its a wonderful place to stay. Its exactly as advertised. That includes the stairs! Lets face it, most folks leave in the morning and return in the evening, so youre only going up those stairs once a day, its really not that big a deal! We took out our trash in the morning when we left to save an extra trip up! If you're looking for a place thats clean, comfortable, well stocked, well cared for and within 30 minutes or so of every attraction imaginable, THIS IS THE PLACE!

Steps, steps, steps

Although the description say on lower level, it does not say how far down. 35 steps to be exact. No elevators, so imagine carrying your luggage down that many steps. Description says mountain view. No mountain view at all. D3scription says stainless steel appliances, nope. Look at pictures, they are not stainless steel. When we got there, the condo smelled musty. There are no curtains on the living room doors. The master bedroom blinds were broke and some missing. The master bath jacuzzi tub is not for the elderly. I am 49 and had a hard time getting in and out. No way you could relax in that. The louvers on the doors separating the bathroom from bedroom had a ton of dust on the,. 2ND bathroom - bathtub water ran and would not hold water. Found specks of dirt in ice trays. Condo appears to have some updates with the flooring, but there is still a ton to do! We emailed the owner as soon as we got there and he did apologize it was not what we were expecting and gave us a 1 night refund. Pros - a place to lay your head. Netflix was nice to have. Deck is large and nice, just wish there was a better view. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking. Cons - not for elderly or anyone that cannot or does not want to haul everything down 3 flights of steps and back up. Needs updating, but appears owner is trying.

Too many stairs

Let me start by saying there are a lot of stairs. I know the description said lower level...but with the pictures it is hard to tell what lower level really means. The pros.. Owner was very nice. Apartment was clean. Away from the hustle and bustle. The cons... Musty smell as soon as you walk in. There was a smoke smell like someone had smoked in the apartment. The smell was in the couch. The jacuzzi tub was dated and very deep....hard to get in and out of for older people. We used the tub in the other bathroom but noticed the caulking was moldy and needed replaced. The plumbing was lose in this bathroom and you had to be very careful about turning it on and off. By the master bedroom there is flooring planks that are bowed up that need repaired. The paint on the deck is peeling and needs scraped and repainted. The refrigerator is missing the bottom grate cover. The dryer needs to be updated. It is an old westinghouse. The front door landing had a small grill that would have been nice to had on the back porch. The landing was messy. There was an old charcoal grill tucked under the stairs. There was a piece of condensor hose laying on the ground. Several pieces of assorted nuts and bolts..pieces of wiring laying scattered about. Tried to go to the pool but both times it was closed...other pool locations were given but didn't want to drive. Our vacation itself was great and I believe with a little TLC this could be a 5 star rental.

Cozy, quiet condo

This was a perfect setting to come home to after a day of hiking in the park. Very clean, very quiet. Beds and furniture are quite comfortable. From the back deck we saw hummingbirds, a curious bear, and listened to the sounds of owls, crickets, and cicadas. As others have noted, there are three levels of stairs to go up and down.

Great getaway.

This was a great property for us to vacation at. I do feel the cleaning ladies could've been more thorough, but it was nothing critical. It was quite a drive up the first time, but we got the hang of it after lol. Steve was a fantastic host. Provided plenty of helpful information and was quick to help us when needed. Our biggest complaint was the rude woman upstairs whom has a broken sliding door to her porch and doesn't care about other people as she goes in and out constantly. It sounds like furniture being moved all day and night. I don't understand owning a condo but not wanting to do the repairs. However, I know that isn't Steve's fault. Just bad luck for us lol. This condo was an amazing deal for the four of us. The porch was nice and cozy to relax on and just enjoy nature. And we saw 3 bears on our trips back to the condo, one of them that came up to our back porch. We had plenty of fun during our stay!

Everything we needed

Steve is a great host. Always answered questions quickly. We found a better route to get up to the condo which felt less treacherous. Condo was nice. Well worth the price we paid. Steps did get tiring after going up and down multiple times. The beds were very comfortable!! No backaches the whole week!!

Great value in a great spot

If you are looking for a great value away from the city, this is a great option. It is a bit of a drive up the mountain and not for the faint of heart, but we enjoyed the drive. We saw bears, turkey, coyotes on our drives. It is easy to get to and from on the bypass. You can avoid the buy parts of the city if you want. It was close to Ober as well which was convenient. Communication was excellent from the owner and the lockbox made check in check out easy. It could use some updating and repairs as well a a deep cleaning, but I would stay again regardless.

This property is located in such a beautiful location that it was an irresistible purchase. It's just so peaceful at this condo, yet only 7 minutes from bustling downtown Gatlinburg.

So close to the Ski Resort you could even walk, directly next door to one of the 3 Homeowner Association pool clubs. But the best benefit is the beautiful, large sundeck. What a great space for meals, sunning, socializing or just watching mountain showers !
