From the private veranda at our Blue Bay Apartment you can jump right into the pool. At short walking distance Blue Bay offers a palm tree beach where the best coffee, cocktails and food are being served. There is a PADI certified Dive center and the snorkeling is fabulous. You also find an amazing 18 holes golf course, tennis and a gym on Blue Bay Resort.
Our apartment is located on the ground floor. It offers a spacious air conditioned bedroom with king-size bed and a walk-in closet. The living room includes an open plan kitchen and air conditioning.

We believe sustainable and economical use of energy and water is important. That is why our rental rates are exclusive of energy and water. Those will be settled at the end of your stay based on actual meter readings from the utility companies. The average cost should be around 50-75 USD per week. Please be aware that your energy bill will largely depend on your usage of the air conditioning. A deposit of $250 is asked to pay upon arrival.

Great location
We spent 5 weeks at this poolside condo in Blue Bay. The location was perfect both at the resort and on the island. The condo had it's own private lounge chairs on the patio which was nice to have as could sit in the shade of the patio for a good part of the day. Late afternoon the patio was in full sun though but that was fine. Blue Bay resort is fairly centrally located on the island so it was easy to get out to all the different beaches and to the grocery stores which were a short drive away. All in all we had a great stay.

Lovely week in Blue Bay
We stayed in this poolside condo in Blue Bay for a week. Condo was clean, poolside as advertised, in convenient location. It’s not really walking distance in warm weather, all uphill on return trip, but a one- or two-minute drive from the FABULOUS Blue Bay beach. Beach passes were included. The condo was neat and clean, simply furnished. Property manager was great, very pleasant. We will happily return.

In need of updates
My husband and I stayed here for 12 days over the holiday. At first look, everything looks nice. After getting settled, you start to see how some areas of the condo are old and worn. The toilet seats were the first thing that alarmed me. They are badly stained from urine. It is not something a guest wants to see when renting a home. Investing in some new toilet seats for your guests could really make a nice impression. When putting our supplies in the shower in the master bath, we were greeted with black mildew stains in the grout all over the shower wall. Again, this is not something a guest wants to see. I cleaned the shower, but the stains are permanently in the grout. On the first use of the shower, we learned that water pools toward the back of the shower causing the water to almost spill out of the shower. We then placed the shower head pointing towards the wall. The bathroom fan in the master bath has dust all over it and does not pull any of the moisture from the bathroom at all. The bathroom light fixture has many bugs in it and could really be cleaned out. The lighting in the half bath is almost nonexistent. There really needs to be a better light in there so your guests can see decently. We did a lot of cooking while in the condo and it became quite difficult with the use of the oven/microwave combo. It would be nice for guests to have a separate microwave. It was hard to cook a complete meal and have everything hot at the same time using just this one unit. We understand the island is energy conscious but since we pay for the energy ourselves anyway, it would be nice to have the option. The living room becomes quite hot during the day due to the sun coming in from the sliding glass doors and the sheer curtain. It was not possible for us to open the doors to let the breeze come in because it was rainy season, and the mosquitoes were bad. We did not want to deal with mosquitoes biting us. It would be helpful if there were a curtain like the one in the bedroom that blacked out the light which would help make it cooler and not let people see in at night. The current curtain has stains all over it making the condo feel dirty. The bed was hard as a rock. We suffered with back pain our whole trip. A pillow top cover would be a huge improvement. A hole is burned into the sofa. We did not complain because there was nothing the property manager could have done to fix these issues. Improvements will need to be made that take time.

Why they chose this property

After many safaris in Africa I discovered the underwater "safaris" of Curaçao and fell in love of its beauty. Blue bay is a very safe and fenced resort, close to the airport. We have visited many beaches on Curaçao but Blue Bay is my personal favorite. From our apartment you can still see the ocean and the spacious pool is right in front of our veranda

What makes this property unique

I find the snorkeling at Blue Bay particularly stunning. Go to the right from the bay and let the reef dazzle you. And to the left, behind the pier, you can spot Eels and when you are lucky; a turtle. The 18 holes golf is fantastic at sunset. And we are blessed to have those 2 wonderful restaurants at Blue Bay
