About this property

Beautiful home with mountain, valley and river views - one mile from town

Completed in 2018, the Creekside Cabin was specifically designed to highlight all of the best views in the valley from the inside out. Located just two miles from Crested Butte, five miles from Mt. Crested Butte and 28 miles from the Gunnison Airport, this peaceful and private location overlooking the Slate River valley is the perfect spot for your relaxing Crested Butte getaway.

Upon entering the home, windows literally surround you, bringing the great Rocky Mountains inside. The heart of the home is comprised of an open concept living/dining area with an upgraded kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook as if you were at home! Enjoy the coziness of the remote-controlled gas fireplace while taking in the valley views from comfy leather chairs and couch. A large balcony, just off the living room, is the perfect place for capturing one of Crested Butte's magical sunsets, wildlife on the neighboring ranch, or watching paddleboarders and fly fishers enjoy the river. The split bedroom design, one on each end of the house, makes this home the perfect get away for two couples or two small families and is well-suited for four adults and up to three minors. The upstairs bedroom has a king bed, twin-over-full bunk bed, private full bath, closet, desk with chair, TV, leather couch and private balcony overlooking the Slate River valley and Mt. Crested Butte. The master bedroom, on the main floor, offers stunning views of Whetstone Mountain and the Slate River valley. It features a California King bed, full bathroom, walk-in closet, and houses a full-sized washer and dryer. The entry deck is the perfect place to watch the sunrise each morning.

The Cabin sits on one of five lots in the private, one-owner Creekside Subdivision, with plenty of private river access to the Slate River. In the summer, enjoy unbelievable backyard fly fishing, wildflowers, close access the Robert Trent Jones II 18-hole Championship Golf Course, and nearby trailheads along Brush Creek Road for hiking, mountain biking or motorcycle riding, just across the highway. The front yard is the perfect place to relax after dinner and wish upon a falling star. Close to the Deli Trail, it is fun to walk into town on a summer morning to grab a coffee prior to starting your adventure. In the fall, every window captures a breath-taking view of the amazing fall colors. Bring your bikes and ride to dinner on Elk Avenue. In the winter, you are quick drive to the chairlifts and groomed cross-country Nordic trails are so close you can walk right out the front door. Lots of nearby areas provide access to winter motorsports as well. The public bus stops just outside the entrance to the subdivision so getting around is easy and free! The bus can take you to town for dinner or straight to the lifts to ski!

Parking: The Creekside Cabin offers plenty of outside parking in the driveway and also on Creekside Lane. Plenty of room to park a trailer if you decide to bring your boat, motorcycles, snowmobiles, etc. Access to garage is not included in the rental.

The Creekside Cabin allows no more than two dogs. No other type of animal will be allowed due to severe allergies of the owners.

Working Cattle Ranch: The Creekside Cabin is a working cattle ranch. During parts of the summer, cattle are present on the property.

Property: Owners live in the subdivision and are close by to answer any questions or help with recommendations about the town and fun things to do.

A True 5 Star Experience
Our stay at Creekside Cabin reminded us of what a true 5 Star VRBO experience should be. We were greeted with a warm welcome, an absolutely stunning property, one of the best views in all of Colorado and all the little things that that make a vacation an experience. It’s hard to overstate the views from every room of this home - jaw dropping! The bedrooms are havens of comfort. The shower gives you an outdoor shower experience indoors. We so enjoyed cooking in the “thought of everything” kitchen. Quality is eveident in everything you touch in this home.

Great cabin. Amazing views. New. Well stocked.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is very nice and well stocked. The views are awesome. It is private. No blinds on windows. None needed. Etc. Owner was very helpful and responsive. We loved it. We stayed in August and left windows open the whole trip. No heat or AC needed. Would definitely recommend.
