About this property

The Bali House Experience: Enjoy The Peace

This large, astoundingly beautiful property is filled with a number of unique spaces in which to relax, entertain, and/or create an imaginative environment for photography and film production. It's a private, transportive island retreat in the middle of Tucson. **Hosts (Dennis & Juana) speak English, Spanish, Sign Language, and a little Indonesian.

The Bali House is a 900 sq. ft. marbled floored mini-palace, located in the historic Broadmoor-Broadway Village neighborhood, and is a five minute walk to Reid Park, home to rose gardens, duck ponds, expansive picnic areas, golf course, and zoo.

Original Indonesian and Indian art and building materials (ie. doors, windows, roof tiles, etc.) line both the interior of the Bali House, the Bali Room, and Exterior Settings. The large Bali House has interior marbled floors, resembling a mini-palace. It features one main bedroom with a King size bed, one bath, a large walk-in closet, private washer/dryer, a fully functioning kitchen, and quaint dining area.

The expansive living room contains a specially designed workspace with a built-in, full size Murphy bed. A folding bed is also available. This main area also features an 18 foot vaulted ceiling, along with custom carved doors and window frames. Unique Indonesian paintings, bronze and wood statues compliment this soulful environment. Wi-Fi and cable television are included.

All appliances, cookware, electronics, and furniture are new, and amenities such as soap, shampoo, toiletries, towels, coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, spices, cooking oil, filtered water are included.

The adjacent Bali porch and exterior wall is also constructed of marble and contains intricately wood carved and highlighted doors, windows, furniture and columns.

The outside living area contains a covered barbecue space, and a 425 square foot indoor dining experience named the Bali Room. It includes a sound system, fireplace, and a traditional, full-size Indonesian bed that is available for resting. A professional Ping Pong Table is also available setup. This space is a perfect place to meditate, perform yoga, and relax with family.

There are also three additional outdoor lounge areas, including a vine covered gazebo with clay fireplace (chiminea), an umbrella covered table and two chairs in front of the Bali House, as well as an umbrella covered patio table and chairs accommodating six people.

On the west side of the Bali House is a large open space equipped to host special events (i.e. weddings, christenings, etc.). There is more than enough space within the property to lounge and congregate freely, not to mention to photograph and film a variety of imaginative productions.

At night, the entire compound comes to life due to a thoughtful and strategic lighting design. It is a perfect space for entertaining or experiencing quiet moments under the canopy of a desert sky.

The property is located within the historic Broadmoor-Broadway Village neighborhood. It is a five minute walk to Reid Park, home to rose gardens, duck ponds, expansive picnic areas, golf course, and zoo.
Down the street to the east, and around the corner south there is an unused outdoor parking lot that will accommodate a few dozen cars or trucks.
Guests have access to the entire back property, indoor and out.

We were in Tucson for our granddaughter’s graduation at the University of Arizona. The location was perfect and the house perfectly fit our needs.

A taste of Bali
Authentic and surprising touches from Bali. Well equipped with every need, clean and comfortable. The hosts are delightful people which added to the enjoyment of being there the first week in April with perfect temperatures.

An oasis near the U of A
We've stayed in at least 20 different vacation rental properties. This will definitely be one of the most memorable. The Bali house was clean, convenient, and had anything we could need. I never realized before how helpful it is to have two different towel patterns so you didn't have to worry about mixing up your towel up with your partners. Having extra towels, including dish towels in case we needed them was appreciated. I met the host and wish I had had more time to talk to them, they were warm and so welcoming. It's obvious they spent a lot of time making their guest house as warm and hospitable as possible. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was probably better stocked than my own. The house had cable channels which is a step above most places we've been that just offer Wi-Fi and a smart tv. I wasn't home much because I was in Tucson for an event and to visit family but when I was there it felt homey. I would highly recommend the Bali house. The only negative I could think of is that a lot of light comes in the bedroom windows in the morning. It makes the room beautiful during the day but could impact sleeping in in the morning if you're a night owl.

Not Your Average Rental
The Bali House is a very unique property in a quiet neighborhood. The rental was filled with beautiful artwork and intricate wood carvings, as well as lovely furniture and a very peaceful outdoor seating area. The master bedroom bed was really comfortable. The mid-Tucson location (Arroyo Chico area) was perfect for us, since we were visiting friends and family on both the northern and southern limits of the city. It is also a very easy (15-25 minute) walk to Reid Park and the El Con Mall. The kitchen and bedroom are fully stocked with everything you need and the check-in/out was easy.

Welcome to The Bali House! We are excited and grateful you have chosen to spend your downtime here while visiting Tucson. We hope your stay exceeds expectations. We are here to serve, so feel free to contact us with any questions, comments, or concerns. PERSONAL INFORMATION: I was lucky enough to have started a successful import business via Indonesia back in 1998. Traveling throughout Southeast Asia, I purchased all the unique artifacts and building materials used for the construction of our little paradise in the heart of the Sonoran Desert. It has served my family and friends well. We look forward to the opportunity of sharing it now with you. We are also fortunate to live within a special city here in the Southwest. There are a variety of unique points of interest to explore, and we have taken the time to point out a number of them in this booklet. In addition, information regarding the house and property will be covered. Hopefully, it will address most of your questions. Relax, unwind, and enjoy your stay! Best Regards, Dennis & Juana
