About this property

NEW Lodge, 5min to Schroon town ctr & beach, hiking, fishing, kayaking, boating

Step into your cozy home away from home - a centralized hub to all that the Adirondacks have to offer. Country-chic meets cottage lake house in this thoughtfully detail-oriented space that boasts privacy, comfort, and serenity. The Lodge at Lakeview is your ideal destination to take in the crisp mountain air and the beautiful surroundings of the ADKs with an escape from the daily grind, offering all the amenities and pampering of a hotel, but in a fully-furnished, private residence.

The Lodge at Lakeview is in the heart of the Adirondacks and at the center of main attractions such as Lake George, Lake Placid, Gore Mountain, Whiteface Mountain, Bolton Landing, and Saratoga Springs. The breathtaking views of the Adirondack Mountains offer a variety of pleasures for all the seasons:

Adventure awaits during the Spring, with the Adirondacks boasting over 2,000 miles of hiking trails, as well as routes for canoeing and kayaking. If you dare, take on the wandering flows of the nearby Falls and rivers; or visit the Wild Center, home to over 900 live Adirondack animals, and immerse yourself in awakening the first blooms of Spring, along the campus' 115-acre Nature trails. Adirondack railbike adventures are also a Springtime favorite for those who like to explore the ADKs more uniquely.

The summertime in the Adirondacks is bustling with excitement as families head up to the lakes of the Adirondacks to relax lakeside at the family-friendly, Public Town Beaches of Schroon, Minerva, Loon, and Lake George; many offer lifeguarding and some the use of kayaks, pedal boats, and canoes for exploring. The Lodge at Lakeview is home to 2 kayaks and life vests ready for guests' use. Bring your boat, or rent one daily from one of the local marinas, to enjoy water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, or fishing. View fireworks by night at nearby Lake George or hit the downtown for the buzzing nightlife. Explore local attractions such as flea markets, farmer's markets, summer concerts, and park square dances.

In the Fall, leaf peepers and hikers alike enjoy the crisp mountain air, and the breathtaking views of the ADK mountains. Antiquing, hiking, restaurant/brewery/winery hopping are among the favorite fall activities for guests. After a day of adventure, gather around our fire pit beneath the most crystal clear, starry skies that you will ever experience, before retreating to each cozy bedroom to recharge for another day of ADK adventure.

During winter, enjoy snowboarding or skiing on one of the many mountains. Snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dog sled tours, and ice fishing are also favorites among travelers. Visit the charming and historic downtown of Lake Placid, home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, and visit the cozy restaurants and lodges along the way. Return to the Lodge at Lakeview to put your feet up and relax, while warming up by the fireplace.

This beautiful and newly renovated space provides comfort and convenience, after a day of Adirondack exploration. Cuddle up in front of the fireplace after a long day of skiing, or enjoy an early summer morning cup of coffee on the screened-in front porch. The interior, open-layout welcomes an atmosphere for entertaining, and for families to gather and make memories. With an assortment of games for all ages to enjoy, you're guaranteed to unwind and connect.

A mere 2 miles away lies the town center, catering to all your Adirondack vacation needs with its assortment of bars, restaurants, gift shops, cafes, and the infamous Towne Store. Conveniently accessible are skiing, snowboarding, hiking, golf, tennis, snowmobiling, boating, kayaking, antiquing, and much more. While a car is necessary to explore the entire area, our home is just a short distance from Main Street, offering abundant choices for your enjoyment.

The Lodge is under a half hour to Lake George, Bolton Landing, and Gore Mountain, and under an hour to Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain. In surrounding small towns, you will find other hidden gems. This area is a home for adventurers, and "relaxers" alike, offering many of your favorite winter and summer sports and activities.

Amazing spacious modern property in Schroon Lake with delightful engaged hosts
We went up to Schroon Lake to view the solar eclipse and this was the perfect home for us to experience it! The house has two living areas. The second, while not necessary, was very cozy in the evenings to hang out and watch TV. The big kitchen was great for cooking meals together, and the master suite is beautiful. The hosts were extremely communicative prior to the stay, giving us much information about the surrounding area as well as events occurring while we would be there. One other highlight worth mentioning - we had a service dog with us, and the hosts bought brand new water/food bowls/mats for us for us to feed the dog.

My husband, brother and I are co-hosts for The Lodge at Lakeview. An accountant, a marketer, and a NYC construction supervisor - the perfect combo for buying, renovating, and creating a beautiful and luxury space for guests to enjoy! Since babyhood, we've been vacationing in the Adirondacks with family, and it truly is our second home and a hidden gem that we enjoy sharing with family and friends and now guests. Come explore ADK with yours truly!

Why they chose this property

The road is private, with only 2 homes and we feel secluded, yet close enough to access the center of town easily.
