Bring your well-behaved pet for your mountain trip! We welcome quiet pets as there is a home above this rental. This perfect 1 bedroom getaway is ideal for a weekend retreat or for a week-long stay to explore all the High Country has to offer. "Polly's Place" is part of a long time home that has been in our family for generations, and as such it holds sentimental value to us.

Polly's Place is a renovated apartment/condo with beautiful furniture and finishes. Amenities include generous decking with chairs and a grill, patio, electric fireplace, cable television, custom built-ins, gourmet kitchen w/ granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a custom vanity in the master bedroom.

The apartment has private access and a flat driveway. The accessibility is good in the winter because the road is paved up until the driveway. Also in the winter, the profile of Grandfather Mountain is visible from the back deck through the tree's.

We believe Foscoe is the best location for all the High Country has to offer, because you are conveniently located between Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk.

Take a hike or a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway, or in the winter ski Sugar Mountain. There are plenty of things to do and places to explore. Shopping, fishing, golfing, tubing, and rafting are a few things in the area.


During your stay, maybe take a walk in the woods where nature hasn't been touched, take a walk to downtown Foscoe to enjoy shopping or get a bite to eat, or maybe just do nothing and smell the crisp mountain air! No hotel suite can compare to the beauty of "Polly's Place."

Lovely stay!
This was our second stay at Polly’s Place. Perfect for us! We love it because it’s cozy, comfortable, well-stocked with linens and kitchenware, and nicely decorated. Highly recommend for a party of 2! Super responsive host, although we had everything we needed. Next time we hope to stay longer!

Nice Place
We were looking for a nice getaway and found Polly’s Place. It is a cute, clean, well located home. I appreciate the ability to stay in this cute home. The only negatives are that there is no blow dryer and when someone cooks upstairs, you smell it downstairs. Otherwise great.

We love this property in the mountains of NC. Clean and quaint. Close enough to town but far enough away to feel like you're secluded. Great view of Grandfather Mountain from the porch

Awesome plane to stay
We loved the cabin, the only negative thing was we bought about $40 worth of fire logs and wood, but the fireplace had an electric fireplace where the wood fireplace was. That was VERY DISAPPOINTING!! Beside that it was a great location, very clean, plenty of room, perfect for a couple!

We are best known as the Peanut Shop because we sell home cooked peanuts from my home town Franlin, Va. in Southampton County. We are very Blessed to live and work only 30 seconds from our houses. My wife Suzanne is a native of this neighborhood. Everyday we are again blessed to view the profile of Grandfather Mountain. Polly's Place is part of a long time home that has been in our family for generations, and as such it holds sentimental value to us. Our home is your home. You will be staying on a 20-acre tract of land that has been in our family for generations. While it is the perfect escape, it is also conveniently located. While here, maybe take a walk in the woods where nature hasn't been touched, take a walk to downtown Foscoe to enjoy shopping or get a bite to eat, or maybe just do nothing and smell the crisp mountain air!
