Also have a look at our other properties: Beach King at Callala Beach and Beach Oasis at Culburra Beach - we have great ratings!

PRIME POSITION PRIME QUALITY Oakwood at the Beach is the perfect beach escape for those looking for an upmarket experience on their holiday. A contemporary, 3 year old craftsman built eco home in a magnificent location just a one minute walk to the beach path of amazing Callala Beach with it's pure white sands and calm waters. Stunning architectural lines, quality construction and a delightful use of natural light are just a few of the many features here. The home has very appealing living areas with a large main kitchen/living area that overlooks a gorgeous deck/outdoor entertainment area, backyard and stunning native garden. As you relax you can watch as a family of rainbow lorikeets feast and play on the bottle brush, gum and grevillea trees. You will witness countless native birds including Rosellas, Wattle birds, white and black cockatoos, Lorikeets and more.

The home has been designed to be energy efficient with excellent insulation, wide eaves and highlight windows. The home is a best practice passive solar home that exemplifies energy efficient design and sustainable materials use. The house is oriented North and is designed to optimise solar gain and aspect of the site, creating a very comfortable living space. The materials have been carefully selected to decrease the embodied environmental impact of the house including recycled timber cladding, sustainably forested Australian hardwood timbers and contemporary building products. The house produces more energy than it uses with photovoltaic panels on the roof producing energy. Energy efficient appliances minimise energy use.

Bathrooms are a delightful feature of this house. The quality in the bathrooms is second to none with elegant tiling up to the ceilings and top quality fixtures and fittings.

The kitchen is also a feature, again cleverly designed and fully equipped to satisfy even the most talented chef. You can cook up a storm, clean up and be on the beach or in the heated pool in no time at all!
The large cleverly designed garage has a variety of beach toys which you are welcome to use.

The under cover, secure community pool is heated and accessible only to visitors and owners of homes at the Benton Sands estate. The pool is right next door to the house, so you can jump into its lovely warm water on the way back from the beach, before going back to the house to relax. We guarantee the kids will absolutely love it and it will entertain them for hours on end! There is also a community room and outdoor BBQ area (Webber BBQ) adjacent to the pool which can be booked for various gatherings, (some covid restrictions apply)

Once you are back at the house there are four spacious bedrooms, all with built in wardrobes, for all your holiday gear. There are three bedrooms upstairs so you can escape from the main downstairs living area for peace and quiet. The very large kids bedroom/living area is downstairs and features a lounge, huge smart TV as well as games and toys. Both tv's are wifi connectable so you can login with your Netflix or any other streaming account to keep everyone happy during the wet days.

Bedding configuration:
Room 1- queen size bed with ensuite bathroom
Room 2 – queen size bed with balcony access
Room 3 – queen size bed
Room 4 – 2 bunk beds that sleep 4 kids plus a pull-out couch for 2 more kids if required

Please note we can supply linen for an extra charge of $25 per person ($50 for queen beds) The beds have doonas and pillows on them, so you will need to bring sheets, pillow cases and towels with you.

You couldn't ask for a better home to enjoy your special beach holiday. This very well presented home is of unquestionable quality and has the location to match. Oakwood at the beach will cater for any family/friends combination you may need. Sleeps 12 people in total but only a maximum of 8 adults. We don't recommend adults sleep on the top bunks. Please note, we do charge extra for groups exceeding 8.

NO PARTY GROUPS ALLOWED – we cater best for families

We also have two other properties in the area. Beach King also at Callala Beach and Beach Oasis at Culburra Beach. Both with their own pool. We have been holiday renting various beach properties for over 15 years now, and we pride ourselves on ensuring your stay is the best it can possibly be.

You will have the entire house to yourselves. So enjoy! The beds have doonas and pillows on them, so you will need to bring sheets, pillow cases and towels with you. Or we can provide linen for an extra $25 per person.
Access to the pool is with the black plastic fob attached to your keys. Please don’t loose this as there is no other way to access the pool.

I will personally keep in touch with guests during the booking process, leading up to and during their stay to ensure everything is going to plan and that you are happy with the property.

A sleepy Beach village with one of the most amazing beaches in Australia at your doorstep.
This property is located in a quiet part of town. Please respect the neighbours.

Getting around is easy with little traffic most of the year, great bike paths and pleasant walks everywhere.
Public transport is not Callala Beach's strong point. So please come with your car.

Great place
Really perfect place. Had a small issue with lock but the manager fixed within 10 minutes. Moments to beach, lovely breezy space, very quiet, comfortable sleeping, good amenities. My partner and I got the much needed rest.

A Beauty!
We were 4 adults and 6 children staying at this wonderful and beautiful house! It was extremely spacious, clean and the layout of the house meant we weren’t all on top of each other. The kids bunk room was a huge hit! You are only a few moments away to walk to the beach and across the road from the communal indoor pool. If I had to be picky, the fact there’s no pantry in the kitchen was a little bothersome - as we stayed for 10 days with a large group - but the kitchen storage is immense so we juggled some of the drawer space to make it work. Carmen was an absolute joy to deal with. The communication was faultless. She’s lovely and always available if anything props up! We look forward to staying there again in the future!

Lovely spot for a winter break
Fantastic place to stay - clean and modern, well stocked with kitchen utensils etc, has Stan/Netflix etc. and warm and comfortable. Our hosts couldn’t have done more - they even left us a bottle of champagne! 6 stars if we could 👍👍👍👍

Great house layout and pool in complex
This was a great vacation rental as house layout and condition was great for both kids and parents alike. The pool and short stroll to the beach was the cherry on top.

About the host

Hi, my name is Carmen. My husband, two kids and I are farmers from a small village called Wallendbeen near Cootamundra in South West NSW. My husband is the 5th generation on the farm we live, and while we enjoy living in the bush and growing sheep, cattle and crops, we also have a passion for the beautiful beach sands of the Shoalhaven, as we have been coming here for holidays for over 20 years. We are keen travellers, and my Austrian background sees us travelling back to Europe to visit my family whenever we can.

Why they chose this property

We first bought a house in Culburra Beach nearly 15 years ago and began offering it to holiday makers whenever we were not using it, so that others could enjoy this little gem of the South Coast.
We have since discovered that Callala Beach inside Jervis Bay is just as beautiful as Culburra. We have therefore decided to purchase another property here so we can offer it to our guests. The benton sands community and it's pool offer that extra little bit of luxury and community.
We now have 3 properties in the area: Beach Oasis at Culburra Beach, Beach King at Callala Beach and Oakwood at the Beach at Callala Beach as well.

What makes this property unique

Our whole family enjoy getting out and enjoying all the great activities that the South Coast offers, and I'm sure you will love it just as much as we do!
Over the many years of experience we have renting out our beach house and staying in the house ourselves, we have learned all of the things that are important to make a perfect beach escape, so that your stay is a wonderful one!
