Escape to the fresh air, beautiful starry skies and serene setting at Pines Edge. Relax in our spacious 3 bedroom knotty pine cottage and enjoy the clear blue waters of Lake Huron just across the road and down a public footpath. The shoreline is made up of limestone rock with gradual entry to the water.

We are located close to Bruce Peninsula National Park with it's famous Grotto, Lindsay tract bike trails, 15 minutes to Singing Sands, & 20 minutes from the sweet harbour town of Tobermory.

Inside, you’ll find Pines Edge to be clean and welcoming. Our cottage is very unique as most of it was handcrafted. All interior walls are a tongue and groove pine, which creates a true cottage feel. Our winterized cottage has a main living area that boasts cathedral ceilings, and a comfortable living area with a couch, love seat, chair and electric fireplace. The space is open and inviting, allowing guests to lounge and dine together. There is plenty of room for kids to play and for adults to kick back too. Indoors you can enjoy a wide selection of movies, Nintendo Wii/Xbox, board games, puzzles, and an arcade game. We also have Wifi and a Roku set up should you wish to access your Netflix/Disney/Prime TV.

The living area has great West facing view through its large windows, that when open, allow for a beautiful lake breeze to enter. The living room is connected to the dining room which looks up into the kitchen. Our kitchen, which includes a dishwasher, is fully equipped for all of your meal preparation needs. We also have a propane BBQ should you prefer the grill. On the main floor you will also find a 2 piece bathroom, and the 3rd bedroom that has a queen bed. This bedroom has 2 big windows that open facing West as well.
Up the stairs you will find a landing that overlooks the main living space. A full bathroom with tub/shower, is located between the 2 private upstairs bedrooms. One bedroom has 2 single beds and it's big window faces East looking onto the young pine & cedar forest. The master bedroom has a queen bed, electric fireplace, and a door that leads to the Juliette Balcony that has a stunning view of Lake Huron. This balcony is a highlight of our cottage. You can literally hear the waves from this location.

The cottage has 2 decks. The front of the cottage, has a wrap around deck that faces West & South, providing plenty of space to soak up the sun, sunsets and lake breeze. Meals can be shared here at the patio table or enjoy a beverage using the additional Muskoka chairs. There is a second deck at the back that faces East where you'll find a propane BBQ and Muskoka chairs. The view from this deck is purely nature. A relaxing place to view the sunrise and quite possibly a deer, while enjoying your morning cup of coffee.

The shoreline across the road is a limestone rock shelf with gradual entry into the water. Due to the rocky nature, we recommend guests bring their watershoes. Here you can sit, swim, float and wade while watching the sun set over Lake Huron.

Our family cottage is located on a 2 acre lot, surrounded by nature, brush and a young pine forest. Enjoy the peace and serenity of the outdoors and at night, star gaze while sitting around the campfire. Due to so few cottages around, we have very little light pollution, which offers an amazing star gazing experience.

Lovely retreat in Bruce Peninsula
My family and I just stayed at Lindsay and Dan’s cottage in Tobermory. We came to the area to show it to a French exchange student that is living with us, but it was mine and my daughters’ first time there too. Lindsay and Dan’s cottage is lovely, cozy, very well maintained and clean. It’s in a great location with a 1-2 minute walk along a path to Lake Huron, and about a 20 minute drive into the town of Tobermory. Great for a relaxing and peaceful getaway, as well as exploring the area. Lindsay and Dan were excellent hosts; quick to respond to any questions, friendly, and helpful with good recommendations of things to do in the area. And our dog loved it too! Highly recommend their cottage to anyone visiting Tobermory and northern Bruce Peninsula!

We are two very hard working parents, to four wonderful children. Whenever we are not enjoying our cottage personally, we like to give other families the opportunity to make some great memories there. The Bruce Peninsula holds a very special place in our hearts - We have been visiting and enjoying the area for years, and our dream is to one day live here permanently with our family year round.

Our ideal renters would be couples and families that want escape the daily grind, and experience our serene cottage property as their own. If you're interested in quiet, the outdoors, the lake, campfires, and starry skies, our place might be exactly what you are looking for!
