Español/English Estuve ahi una semana y vi los 2 lados de la moneda. I stayed there for about a week and saw both sides of the coin. Los primeros 3 dias estuvieron bien. Hay buenas opciones de transporte y actividades externas e instalaciones decentes. Sin embargo, al 4to dia hubo un apagon que duro varias horas. Al dia siguiente, no habian suficientes toallas y estaban alternando el aire acondicionado cada par de horas para distribuir la electricidad que les llegaba, cosa que causo que el ventilador sacara agua. Al dia siguiente me desactivaron las tarjetas de acceso pero eso se arreglo rapido al contactar recepcion. El Wifi, mediocre. Frequentemente me dejaba sin internet desde mi laptop y paso mucho mas en los ultimos 3 dias. La comida no esta mal, pero no es algo que diria que vale la pena conseguir el todo incluido- el dia que fui me atendieron mal. The first three days were quite good. There are good transportation and external activity options. However, on the 4th day, there was a 2-3 hr outage. On the following day, there were not enough towels and they were alternating the air conditioner every hour to distribute the available power - this resulted in the room fan precipating some water. The day after my access cards got revoked but that got solved promptly upon contacting reception. Wifi was bad, often kicking me out on my laptop and happening often, much more after the blackout. Food was okay, but not worth all-inclusive. The day I went service was bad

Poor value for the price

Dated hotel under renovation. Stars are Overrated. Prime beachfront location. Friendly staff. Slow unreliable internet. TV channel selection poor. Close to Diegos , La Catrina, Chiili Pepers & Tonys.

I loved the view was fantastic The only thing i wasn't expecting was i wasn't able to go on balcony it was locked so pictures weren't done

This is our second stay here both times the staff made us feel very welcome. The time share units in particular are large and well situated. The standard rooms are nice but the could use small fridges and a mic and coffee maker for snacks. We discovered pot coffe available at the restaurant was a real bargain for in the morning if anything I think the restaurant could be improved on in the food dept not the staff.

great location best staff

every time we stay we are treated great. but this time the room that we have always stayed in they told us we could no longer get because of time share troubles. 8 years in the same room even though I phoned reservations and she said yes to the room when we got there they said no. they were not willing to do to much until I asked to see the manager. ann maria was called and she help us fined a good room. ann maria help make our stay very good again. Ester was our room maid and was fantastic as was all the cleaning staff. the oceano palace is the best for you money and we will continue to stay there every year until we wear out our welcome. Thank you very much to all the staff and expecilly Adrian and Ann maria.

Great hotel on a great beach!

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel.Daily walk on the beach enabled me to hit my 5 mile goal. Staff at the front desk were awesome, especially Adrian and Jasmine that helped me with my WiFi. Housekeeping staff were wonderful! Musicians on the beach that frequently play need some serious music lessons.... Wi-Fi on lower room floors not the best. I would stay here again....😎🌞🌴🌴

Good hotel in a good location

We had a good time at the hotel. The staff was quite helpful despite the language barrier. We did not receive our luggage until three day after we arrived. The concierge helped by phoning American Airlines. When one travels to a foreign country, people assume that you have a cellphone that you can use to contact places when problems arise. The shuttle and taxi service was prompt. Not having clothes,bathing suits and the extra medicines that I needed put a little damper on our trip

Worst ever. Management is terrible, no empathy

From the time we got to checkin, Expedia put our room under my husbands first name. 50 people checking in, completely overbooked. I asked Expedia for early checkin no such help there. Room dirty, no internet, window broken. Gave us another on 3 rd floor, still no interest, desk phones, no one answered. Drilling outside our window, terrible, loud booming music out front til 2 am. Prices terrible and service restaurant. Time share on u every minute. Manager so clueless,. No empathy no offer to compensate us. Don’t let Yur agents book there. Train Yur agents for flights as well. First worst experience for Mexico, 30 years of other Hotels, Mazatlan is wonderful we went to enjoy it not be harassed by poor management tactics.

Nice beach. The rooms were not cleaned properly. The beds were very old and not comfortable at all. Box springs are concrete and the mattresses are very thin.

Excellent location, friendly staff and economical.

Booked 7 nights at Oceano Palace, wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the negative reviews about check in problems, bad rooms etc. Had no problem with check in. Took no time at all. Check out was even faster, less than 20 seconds and no surprises. Room was very nice clean and modern. Very good AC and the shower was nice. Very firms beds but I like that. Loved that King size bed. It's a bit noisy during the day (music and screaming children), there were a lot of families with children so noise should be expected. After dinner or so it dies down and it was never bothersome. Just people having good clean fun. If the noise bothers you shut off the TV go to the pool courtyard and make some funny noises yourself. The staff are terrific and there is not much of a language barrier. Housekeeping tends to show up after noon which I didn't mind but this depends on which side of the building you are on. I didn't eat at the restaurants much as I preferred to walk around checking out Mazatlan. I would not hesitate in booking here again or at one of the other Palace hotels. I had my doubts about this place why it was so inexpensive but it was great, way beyond expectations. In terms of cost it would be hard to beat. Perfecto!

True mexican experience

The place was okay. Lots of Mexicans if you're in for cultural immersion. Take a room with ocean view if you can. There are lots of restaurants around so the all-inclusive option is not mandatory although practical. Just purchase it in advance since it's more expensive at the front desk.

Small room, close to beach.

Stayed in a regular room, not much space. We ended up moving into a two bedroom with an ocean view. Big difference in space and room quality. Kids loved the pool and beach area. Pool is looking a little run down but they have activities going all day. Great buffet we had for lunch. Staff were great. Sometimes loud music but ends around 10 on weekends. Overall very happy with our choice to stay here.
