Had a great stay in Kyoto! Good location really helpful easy check in

The moment we walked down the lane and opened the front door we were amazed by the historical surroundings and beauty. We wanted to experience authentic Japanese living and this did not fail us. The host left several restaurant recommendations and places to visit close by. Also provided details of other means of transportation. Such a great experience!!!

We stayed for eleven nights while visiting family and friends. The accomodation instantly felt like our home away from home and the hosts we're always available to answer any of our questions.We would definitely recommend this location to anyone visiting Kyoto.

Excellent location for quiet and easy walking to the action or nature. Host was very rdponsive and friendly.

This was such an amazing stay. I wish we could have stayed longer just to enjoy this VRBO. We are a family of 5 with three teens and had enough space to sleep with the 5 futons. The stairs to the sleeping area could be a challenge for a person with mobility challenges. The house has been beautifully restored by its amazing owners who met us at checkin to give us a tour of this unique space. The nearby area gives you easy access to subways, Gion, Yasaka shrine and lots of shopping. This space ranks as one of our familys top VRBO stops of all time. Highly highly recommend.

Quiet house. Very private. Perfect area for visitors to the city. The house had everything we needed. We used the second bedroom upstairs as a sitting area. Air con worked well. Western style bed comfortable though a little small. Washer/drier worked well. Note that the stairs in the house are very steep. Communication was excellent with host. Lovely experience to stay in a Japanese home.

The home is as seen in the pictures. The area is quaint and quite. Would stay there again for sure. Awesome

We liked being in a good neighborhood close to many interesting sites but away from the tourist congestion. Mark was a very responsive host.
