Dumfries and Galloway beach rentals

A great week in Sandhead with the family, location is perfect, with the beach almost on the doorstep.House was spacious, well equipped and definitely somewhere where we will return to.

Cosy, well equipped cottage with a lovely view. Our elderly parents loved that they didn't have to go anywhere to enjoy the beach and they could get out for easy walks. With amenities just a few minutes drive away and local to wildlife viewing options this worked well for us. None of us were keen to leave.

Everything you would expect from a holiday home. Great location and plenty to do. Would not hesitate in staying here again.

We just loved our stay at Saltwater Chronicles. Beautiful, newly decorated lodge with a brilliant view of the sea. We loved walking along the rocks, exploring the caves, walking up through the stunning green glen to the impressive waterfalls. The two lochs are so pretty. Every member of the team we encountered on the estate was friendly and welcoming. The meals we ordered from the kitchen were delicious. Communications were quick and helpful. We can’t wait to return.

Three generations of family getting together to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday. The house was perfect for a family gathering with superb open social areas and amazing panoramic views.

This is an absolutely delightful property in an amazing location, with unbeatable views. It is well furnished and comfortable and has a great garden with abundant furniture and is situated in truly beautiful countryside and a charming village, with two acceptable pubs.There is a lovely circular walk to the equally pretty village of Rockliffe from which you can swim and in the nearby town of Castle Douglas there are very good food shops and a first class restaurants, Mr Pooks. We will definitely return.

Beautiful house that seems well loved and well looked after. Close to tidal water and coastal walks.

House was very clean with some fine antique furniture. Kitchen well equipped. Bedrooms could use more duvets for cold weather and we had to move reading lights around in the evening lounge.
