Very nice and comfortable property in a nicely located area for visiting the highlands. The bed was so comfy and the bath was amazing after nice day.

We had a wonderful time in Scotland, seeing lots of incredible places. The location of the cottage was perfect for us to explore lots of great wildlife locations.
The cottage was perfect for our needs. It was very clean and well presented. The owners were really helpful and were close by to answer or help us as needed.
I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to explore this area of Scotland. I hope we get to come back again soon and find more places we didn't get a chance to visit this summer!

Beautiful cottage
Very responsive owners to a couple of small issues
Only gripe was the builders turning up at 8am each day ( however they didn’t disturb us it just made it harder to walk around half naked! :)) just would have preferred to have been pre warned.
Overall a fantastic stay.
We went to be close to our daughter who was staying at the Activity centre in the village, completing her Duke of Edinburgh award.
We has lots of lovely dog walks in the beautiful hills, and forests
Not a place for loads of places to eat out but we saved money by eating in anyway.
We would definitely return and would love to stay in The new lodge next door too.

The Bakehouse was as described and it was spotless and well equipment with lovely attention to detail. Newtonmore is an ideal location for exploring the highlands. The village has all the amenities you will need to enjoy your stay. The local hotels do not allow dogs in side but we were able to have drinks outside and we had a lovely meal at the Glen Hotel (outside with the dog). We also had a smashing sunday roast at the McInnes House Hotel in Kingussie (Dog friendly). Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful.
