We loved staying at Bear Cub Lodge. Fabulous view of Pikes Peak, loads of living space and felt like a home from home with games and comfortable furnishings.

Came across this property while looking for a stopover to do pikes peak The location and view is unreal like no where we stayed before The smile on my teenage sons face said it all In there words mum this is the best place you've found us to stay Great Irish pub for meals at end of road I didn't want the break to end

We have been touring for seven weeks and booked Timber Ridge so that we could chill for a few days before flying home to England. We were not disappointed, the cabin had everything we needed and more, and was immaculate. The hot tub was the icing on the cake, together with the friendly deer, chipmunks and fox. Also plenty of hummingbirds. The cabin is not too far from Divide and Woodland Park for restaurants and the area is great for hiking but have to admit we didn’t wander too far. Would definitely recommend Timber Ridge Retreat to anyone wanting to stay in a well equipped cabin in a scenic, quiet location and not too far from shops, restaurants etc.

After a long day travelling we were welcomed with wine and chocolates into the most beautiful cabin in the woods. All the furniture and decor were perfect for the area and it was very homely and relaxing. Our first morning we met Daphne ( as we called her) who was this huge deer by the back door who we near enough hand fed and was a regular visitor. It felt like we had our own Forrest as a garden and was even better looking at it from the hot tub after a long day visiting the million things to do in the area. We’d recommend the royal gorge railway and bridge if you’re looking for dramatic scenery. Cooking is easy with an awesome kitchen already stocked with spices etc that we normally have to buy at other places we stayed at. Drink lots of water and moisturise well as you tend to dry out at the altitude but you soon get used to it. Only thing we hated was leaving. Definitely definitely going back as soon as we can.
