The surroundings, thoughtful amenities and comfortable bed made our trip fun and relaxing. Perfect place for those looking for a peaceful and quiet retreat.

We thoroughly enjoyed this property. I spent three nights here with my family including our 3 month old baby and we were all very comfortable. It was well equipped and the facilities such as hot tub, WiFi, tv etc worked really well - we were also able to travel to sights nearby. Thanks for a great stay!

Walden far exceeded our expectations... Visiting from Ireland, we looked at alot of properties before choosing Walden. We knew it looked nice but believe me when I say, the photos do not do this place justice. If you want an escape from the daily grind or just lose yourself in the country then this is the place to go. It's quiet, its calm, a real serene location and I live in Ireland where all I see are fields.....the tranquility and silence can't be matched. My partner enjoys fishing and given that there are limited public access points along the Shenandoah river, to have access at the property is a real find..... He really does his research when it comes to fishing. He was able to tell me that the cabin and its access point in the south fork is right in the middle of the most productive part of the river for fishing. His were catch and release but he caught lots of small mouth bass, sunfish and chappie. A very happy man indeed. We plan to come back again in the future for sure and hopefully bring family. Thank you Derek, Walden was the high point of our road trip.

From booking to arriving Patti kept us informed and everything was so easy to arrange. When we arrived we were blown away by the beautiful cabin and it's surroundings. Listening to the sounds of nature was spectacular. We saw a bear taking a stroll past the lake this was my personal highlight of the stay. My only negative was we hadn't booked it for longer.
