Le Petite Chateau is a charming and beautifully decorated treehouse nestled on the side of Early Moon Ridge at The Candlelight Forest in Chickamauga, GA . Only 20 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, by way of a pastoral drive through the Chattanooga Valley, these accommodations are perfectly located to take in Chattanooga and the many surrounding attractions that abound nearby, including Cloudland Canyon State Park, Rock City, Ruby Falls, and The Chickamauga National Battlefield Park.

Perched in a beautiful canopy, Le Petit Chateau is built on a sloping ridge and provides for very safe and easy access, as its entrance is at ground level. Decorated by Atlanta design student, Sarah Grace Tatum, the theme is French Farm Rustic. A very airy and fresh theme, nuanced with old timbers and reminders of the Old World in the art and thoughtful knick knacks, helps transport you from the cares of everyday life.

Upon arrival, a short stroll through the woods (and after dark, under near-magical hanging moon lights) brings you to the front door of your home away from home.

A private queen bed nook, an open living area, a full bath, and a back porch provide the downstairs living experience. Up a two-tiered loft ladder, 4 twin beds and a darling half bath await the more adventurous up above.

Our own signature Canopy Kitchenette (TM) rounds out the experience. The back porch has a very simple kitchen that includes a stainless wash sink, concrete countertop, toaster, and a gas grill with side burner, all elegantly covered in the shade of an oversized umbrella. Dine upon our custom built-in fold-down table and antique wooden chairs.

Le Petite Chateau' combines the greatest of all vacation experiences - cooking outdoors with charming shelter to boot, cozy spaces for family fun, romance and the perfect home base to quickly access all the excitement that awaits in this enchanting mountain and valley that surrounds The Candlelight Forest. Nice getaway from Nashville! Loved the property and the La Petite Chateau was cute and clean. Best part was having a bathroom on each level. Would go again but make different food plans as it only had a mini/dorm room fridge no freezer and no oven/stove. Overall a great little experience!

Great place for a social distancing getaway

This property was a great place to stay. My kids enjoyed it. Only thing if your there for some quite time make sure there is no events going on while you there and make sure you take enough lighting if you do a camp fire at night there are no lights back there. But overall we enjoyed ourselves.

Charming, one of a kind cabin

The cabin was clean, beautiful, and completely bug free. Very cozy and charming, with excellent use of space. It did not feel small or cramped at all, every inch of space is well-planned. Comfy bed. The owner is very responsive and made sure we had everything we need. Really good customer service.

This place was quite magical. The kids loved it! I don’t recommend renting if you have more than two adults. And don’t bring a lot of stuff, because you need to hike through the woods to get to the house!

we enjoyed our stay in the treehouse. just a couple of hicups but would stay again. we did not get a lighter with our smores to light the fire with. But they came quickly to our need! the lights need replacing around the fire pit as they barely come on and are worthless. We loved our stay in the treehouse! My two elementary-aged kids and I stayed for a couple of days and had an absolute blast in the treehouse and playing all over the property, from fishing to paddle-boarding to canoeing. My littles loved petting the animals, and we rented a movie outdoors one night. Our cabin was stocked with everything we needed and was clean and cool. We also loved the proximity to Chattanooga for additional adventures on the way home. We definitely hope to be back!

A Magical Place!

The treehouse, property, and activities are amazing! The kids had such a great time hiking, fishing, playing in the creek, and making smores. There's a faucet near the parking area, so we could rinse off our gear, and we left our shoes on the little porch to avoid tracking anything into the house. The outdoor kitchen was a lot of fun for meals. We also realized that when you start walking up the trail to reach the treehouses, there's a steep little shortcut for the adventurous, but the actual trail meanders to the left and then circles back toward the right to reach the houses. We are already planning a trip to come back and stay at one of the larger houses on the property next time!

End of Summer Getaway

This was a trip with our son before school starts back. He is 9 and all boy. Loves all the things outdoors! This was absolutely the perfect find and end of summer getaway for our family. We were able to watch him enjoy the weather and simply being a kid. The treehouse was adorable and had everything we needed. Loved the decor and the way it made us feel right at home. Unique experience

Tired of staying at cookie cutter hotels? We were! This cottage is the perfect remedy. We loved the charm & whimsical feeling of the cottage & the feeling of being in the woods made it an adventure in itself. The teens & youngest child loved the tree ladder to their upper room. The half bath was a plus. Everyone slept well. The living room was a little cramped, but not too big of a deal. Be aware the mini fridge is MINI. And definitely try to arrive before dark. We had a short stay and didn’t get to try out all of the amenities on the property. We were able to explore the treehouse playground, ferry, creek, & rope swing. All were excellent! In the words of my 7 year old, “Mom, can we live here?”

Oasis in the woods.

We absolutely loved this place! The treehouse itself was adorable. I loved all the little touches: the decor, cleanliness, amenities. The bunk beds upstairs were so cute. I loved the children’s table, the little library - my kids thought the place was made just for them. And I loved that they had windows set lower so the kids could look outside without climbing on anything. The property was beautiful! We loved the treasure trail & wishing lanterns! What a magical experience!

A Dream for Kids and Adults Alike

This property was fabulous for my six-year-old grandson. I think he enjoyed the rope swing over the creek and the mason jar scavenger hunt more than our trips in to Chattanooga to see Ruby Falls or ride the incline railway! There are so many opportunities for fun at this property. The treehouse was wonderful! He was so excited to climb the ladder and sleep upstairs. The adults loved it, too. I hope to return and enjoy the beautiful area again. It was better than I anticipated!
