We stayed at 3 Monkeys for 2 weeks and loved every minute of it! Best weather ever; home was perfect - we cooked dinner in almost every night and watched the most beautiful sunsets over the ocean. This house is centrally located on the island and was fully furnished with everything we could need, more so than any other home we've stayed in on BHI. Felt very much at home here. Kristin is an incredible host. I contacted her a couple of times; and she was prompt, efficient, friendly, and very helpful in taking care of the issues. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to share a home with friends or family! And we cannot wait to come back next year!

Great Beach Island Vacation

The home was beautiful, with a great set up for our family vacation. 3 bedrooms, plus a bunk room worked out perfectly for my two children, spouses, and five grandchildren. New golf carts got us around the island, several bikes(they needed some work) but other than that, it was a perfect stay!

Perfect!

From the well stocked paper products to the awesome location, 3 Monkeys was the perfect place for our vacation with our adult children and our first grandchild. Fantastic fall getaway!

My family of seven adults came down this year in September, later than our normal summer vacation, and couldn’t have been happier! The weather was stunning and this home was perfectly situated for us to each have our own space. It was ideally located for enjoying beautiful sunsets off of South Beach. Wonderfully appointed and comfortable, with plenty of beach chairs and towels and super fast carts! We’re really looking forward to next year!

We couldn’t have been happier with the house! The upstairs area for the kids was a great way for the kids to hang out together while the adults enjoyed sitting on the front porch listening to the waves. The hammock was also a huge plus! The owners thought of every detail and were very helpful beforehand to help plan for our arrival. Well stocked kitchen and a gas grill. Plenty of bikes and beach chairs too! Looking forward to our next trip

Jump starting Spring at 3 Monkeys

We had a wonderful time this Spring at 3 Monkeys. The home is very comfortable with amazing ocean views with many outdoor areas to enjoy the weather and soak in the ocean breeze. The home is very well equipped. Everything you need to head right to the beach or bike through the island. The two golf carts are new and having both a 4 and 6 person cart was perfect for our group. Our family has stayed at Bald Head many times and have stayed at many different parts of the island and this is now one of our favorite spots.

Week on BHI

We had a truly amazing time at 3 monkeys. The house is perfect! Wonderfully decorated. Rooms each have their own porches. Wave sounds put you to sleep and wake you up. Beach is maybe 100 steps away. Kristen is the definition of a perfect host.

Best place to stay on BHI beachfront!

From start to finish our stay was amazing. The check in and check out is seamless. The 10 AM check out time is so much better than other places that have 8 or 9 AM departures. The house is beautiful on the inside and outside. It is spacious and cozy at the same time. The beds and sheets are very comfortable. We spent each night on the balcony star gazing over the ocean. The kitchen is well equipped and hammock created a lovely napping spot. The location is perfect for early morning or evening beach walks. The owner thought of everything (even extra paper towels!!) to make our stay comfortable. We have rented in BHI for 10 consecutive years and this house, the gracious owner and the location is in the top 2 of our favorite places.

Perfect home, perfect location!

Three Monkeys exceeded expectations. The house is literally steps from the beach access and there are views from every room. The owners clearly have their renters in mind... with multiple beach chairs and bikes, well-maintained carts, well-stocked kitchen, children's toys and games, and high quality linens and towels to name a few. They were also highly responsive to all questions we had prior to and during our stay. Can't say enough good things... we will be back.

Just What We Needed

This was our first visit to BHI and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice to stay at Three Monkeys. The house layout was perfect and beautifully decorated. The sunrises & sunsets were gorgeous from the many balconies/porches. We loved the screened in porch & covered porch areas where we could be out of the sun part of the time but still hear the ocean waves. Kristin was great to work with and always helpful and quick to respond. We loved everything about the Island…beach, restaurants, spa, marina area, lighthouse etc. The house & location were just what we needed to relax and catch up. 1st BHI Experience - Top Notch!

This house made our first experience on BHI unforgettable. The beautiful updates and gorgeous beach views were a major highlight of the house. Our kids loved the upstairs bunk bed room and enjoyed their own space. The owner, Kristin, was super helpful and easy to be in touch with which was great because we knew nothing about the island. The house comes with 2 golf carts, all the beach stuff you need, bikes etc that also made packing much easier for our family of 5. We highly recommend this home to any other beach lovers like ourselves! Family core memories were made here for sure. We will be back!!

A wonderful week

This is a beautiful property and we enjoyed it from beginning to end. All of the furniture was comfortable and in great shape. The beds were extremely comfortable. Having a balcony off of every bedroom was really a nice feature. Lots of owner’s toys hanging around in the garage for use on the beach. That was nice. Golf carts were in great shape, and we made good use of those. The Country Club facilities are very nice. Felt a little bit like second class members but I guess that's in fact what we were. Thanks for being such great hosts!

Summer vacation

We were looking for a nice place on the beach to kickoff summer break and this was definitely it. This was our first time to the island so we really didn’t know what to expect. We had such a great time. Three Monkeys is located directly across from a beach access point which was so convenient. Kristin also had several items in the garage such as beach chairs and buckets for the kids that came in handy. Kristin promptly answered all of our questions ahead of time. We had a couple of questions when we checked in and she immediately responded. The house is very well stocked with essentials such as paper products as well as pots/pans for cooking. We cooked several of our meals and didn’t have to worry about not having a pan or utensil. We really enjoyed our getaway and look forward to returning again in the future. Overall the place is beautiful and the location is awesome! The kitchen is great and had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable. The golf carts were great and we used them daily.The owner was very responsive and very easy to communicate with, which we did have to do because there was an issue with the tv’s and WiFi. Evidently they had an electrical issue a few weeks prior due to lightening, which knocked out the Wi-Fi and tv’s. I do believe that the owner was not aware of any issues that were still not resolved.We are not usually big tv people when on vacation but since it is college football season, we did want to watch our college team, which played Saturday night (the day we arrived). Luckily our sons were able to use the hotspot from their phone to connect to their laptop, then connect laptop to the tv (to use as a monitor) with an HDMI cord so that we could watch the game! It was a lot but it worked!Then on Monday the Spectrum tech came and hooked up the Wi-Fi, so all was good. However, the living room tv still did not work, but we didn’t need it. The only other thing was when we arrived, you go through the back door to go up the stairwell to open up the house, there were a lot of dead bugs in that stairwell and all around the window sill… so would suggest that they just do a good shop vac cleaning of that back area, since that is your first impression when you get there.. which had me a bit nervous but the inside house was very clean.
