Beautiful colonial-style home located a quick walk to some of the BEST BEACHES on Cape Cod. Mayflower Beach and Bayview Beach are family-friendly beaches with spectacular sunsets overlooking Cape Cod bay. Chapin Beach and Corporation Beach are a short drive or you could choose to visit one of many National Seashore Beaches on a day trip to Orleans, Wellfleet, Truro or Provincetown. (Ie. Referred to as “the Lower Cape”).

Home includes open floor plan, Central Air conditioning, internet/wireless access, second floor washer/dryer, granite kitchen with wet bar and stainless steel appliances, 2 1/2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms plus bonus room in basement. Enjoy your evenings on a great farmer's porch on front of house or open deck at rear with BBQ grill. Living room has gas fireplace, 65" flat screen TV and attached stereo/CD player with surround sound. Outside enclosed shower for after beach.

Short walk to Chapins Restaurant. Short drive or bike ride to Dennis Village where you will find the Cape Playhouse, Dennis Public Library, Scargo Lake, Dennis Public Market along with many other stores and restaurants. Also close to bike trails, two Town-owned Golf Courses (Dennis Highlands and Dennis Pines), shopping, and cinemas. We are a quiet, relaxing , family-friendly neighborhood. Ideal for a fun and relaxing vacation.

Local Restaurants within walking distance from the house include Chapins. A short ride to Dennis Village (Rt 6A) you will find Scargo Cafe, The Lost Dog, Encore, Pecorino, Marshside, Old Yarmouth Inn and many more. Sesuit Harbor Cafe is a local gem located right on Sesuit Harbor inside the North Shore Marina with outdoor picnic table seating on the harbor.

We do not supply linens or towels. (Although the majority of our guests bring their own please be advised that there are also linen rental services on Cape Cod that deliver and pickup right to our front porch.)

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please be reminded that CHECK OUT TIME is 10AM and that your lease does not charge a cleaning fee as long as you make a reasonable effort to leave it as you found it.
Reminders: 1. All trash must be placed in outside barrels in plastic bags provided by Owner. 2. All dishes and utensils cleaned and stored where found. 3. Please leave our 4 beach chairs on fr porch.
Kindly advise if anything needs repair (or was broken). Kindly advise by text when you leave. Please remember to leave house key on the hook in the D.R.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
VACATION LEASE AGREEMENT required to be signed by GUEST and OWNER to complete RENTAL. AGREEMENT must be completed within 7 days of booking date.
CANCELLATION POLICY is more well defined in the Vacation Lease Agreement.
PARKING is provided for FOUR CARS in the driveway of our property. On street parking is not allowed by Town Beach parking is for our guests only.

Property is in great condition and a short walk to Mayflower Beach. Len was an excellent host who made communcation easy. We had plenty of room in the house and the 4 parking spots are great for that area.

Great house with lots of space. Nice walk to the beach thru quiet neighborhood. My family had three little guys 1/1/2 and we had a great time at Mayflower. Right around the corner from Chapins too! Ken and Debi were very hospitable and left some of the most delicious cookies we’ve ever had.

My siblings and I -from the west coast and the east coast- and our spouses enjoyed a family vacation at this property. Len was a great communicator and very quick to answer all my questions. The house is lovely and we also enjoyed the deck out back. It’s an easy walk to Mayflower Beach through a nice quiet neighborhood. Awesome location!! We have been coming to the Cape for decades and this was one of our favorite rentals!!!I highly recommend this home.

Nice home, great location

We stayed in len’s home for a week with 4 adults and 3 young kids. There was plenty of room for us all. The yard has a great front yard/ porch and back deck for hanging outside. Additionally the beach is an easy 10-minute walk from the house. We would love to stay here again.

Perfect summer getaway

We had a great experience that started with the lovely gifts from Len for both adults and kids. The neighborhood was perfect for the kids to ride their bikes or just play in the front yard. We enjoyed riding our bikes to the beach each day and coming back to a clean cool house.

mayflower vacation house

I have used VRBO several times now and this is the best house that I have rented. You absolutely will love this house. It is good sized, modern, and well equipped. The host, Len, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Moreover, Mayflower is the best beach on the Cape, especially for little kids. I also managed 3 rounds of golf at 3 different nearby great courses. Five star stay

Summer vacation on Cape Cod

Great property. Owner lives right across the street but is pretty much invisible unless you need him for something. Two and a halve baths is a definite plus, especially in the morning when everyone is trying to get ready for the day. Washer and dryer are easy to use as is the outdoor gas grill. This is definitely a five star property.

Great house, nice walk to the beach

Nice house plan, kitchen is well set up to cook (which we do). Outside Grill was new, and the deck was really pleasant to sit on. A note about the timing of our stay — there was a big storm and the power was knocked out for like 10 hours. We were able to walk to Chapin’s Bayside (yum!) for lunch, and the owner of the house was very responsive - getting us candles and a flashlight. He also sent over a neighbor to ensure we were ok. Great job, Len!

Lovely house in a great location

We loved our stay, this house is a gem. It truly is a 'house', has great home feel, clean, comfortable, have all amenities a vacationer might need. Cute front porch for having morning coffee, and well-maintained yard, our toddlers loved playing and running there. The location couldn't be better, with Mayflower Beach (which is a amazing!) within 5 min by bicycles, can't comment on the walking distance. Special thanks to the owner, Len, who was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. There is a good amount of stores, ice cream shops, restaurants nearby, and within reasonable driving distance. Very convenient house location but 2 concerns not in listing

Overall the house is very convenient to the beach. And it's in excellent shape. It has 5 beach chairs but no beach toys which was surprising, but I don't hold that against the owner in my rating. FYI: owner lives across the street.2 concerns I had and alerted owner before I signed 2nd rental agreement:- the listing did NOT list no linens are included. I sent screenshots to owner to show that. He didn't realize when he checks a box saying no linens doesn't mean no linens are listed. I found out when I needed to sign the 2nd rental agreement. Owner needs to write it in listing.- requires a separate lease to be signed outside of VRBO. Probably a VRBO terms of service violation. I don't like that.Otherwise, it's a very convenient and good condition house and owner is nice.

Great family trip to Dennis

Easily walkable to Mayflower beach. Property has lots of space, indoor and outdoor, for kids to play. Grill for cooking at home and quick access to Dennis town center with many places to eat.

My wife and I stayed at this house with our 3 young kids (10, 8, 6) and had an absolute blast. Walking distance to Mayflower beach and central to everything else in the Cape. The house is great and Len was an fantastic host.

Supreme location

Our family and friends had an excellent vacation stay at the house. It was plenty big enough for all of us, and the location and proximity to one of the best beaches on all of the Cape makes this rental an easy decision to rebook.

Family reunion in Dennis

We had a lovely time staying in this large, well equipped house for a week with our extended family. Other than a bit of mustiness in the basement the house was just as it is described in the listing. The location is absolutely perfect, walking distance to Mayflower Beach and with in minutes to grocery stores, galleries, and the art museum.

Great vacation rental

We were welcomed with a basket of homemade cookies and a bottle of wine. House is spotless and about .5 miles from Bayview Beach. Kitchen was well equipped with very nice appliances. Our family had a very nice time.

Great beach house in Dennis!!!

We really enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable home in Dennis. Len and his wife were great hosts but not intrusive at all. They were available if needed and left a welcome basket with handmade Italian cookies and wine. The house was spacious enough our group of 2 families (4 adults and 4 children). The house was equipped with a very nice kitchen with high-end appliances and all of the kitchen utensils one would expect. There is a large TV in the family room and a great finished basement with another TV, as well as ping pong and pool tables. The wifi was reliable and fast enough to have multiple devices streaming at times for the kids. Bedrooms are very comfortable and spacious. One bedroom on the second floor is at the top of the stairs without a door (loft style), but this was fine for our kids. The house is a 10 minute walk to Mayflower beach which is one of the BEST beaches for kids on the Cape and certainly the highlight of the trip! The neighborhood is quite, perfect for sitting on the relaxing front porch, or going for a run or walk on the nearby streets. There is easy access to nearby restaurants, an ice cream shop, grocery stores, and Peterson's fish market which is one of our favorite places to pick up food for dinner. Overall, the house is perfect for a fun and comfortable Cape Cod vacation!

This is the house to rent for a family vacation!!

We were an extended family of 6 adults and two children under 4. This house lends itself so easily to a great number. The house is amazing with 4 large bedrooms so little ones can go to sleep away from noise. It is immaculate and you just need to drop your stuff and head to Mayflower Beach! It is a very short walk down the street. We had a pizza party one night and watched the sun set over the ocean. I can not say enough about the owners who are so kind and helpful. We had a perfect Cape vacation!!

Annual summer vacation with family

My husband and I spend every summer on cape cod with our three grown children and grandchildren. We’ve stayed in the Dennis area for the past 10 years. This year instead of using a local realtor, we tried VRBO. We booked this house and could not have been happier. The house was beautiful, well equipped and less than a mile walk to the beach. There was plenty of space for all three families. My children commented that we really upped our game for a house this year. Len and his wife live right across the street, which was terrific. They were easily accessible if we had any questions but not intrusive at all. I would highly recommend this property. We hope it’s available next year for our Cape vacation! Rose

The Holt Realty Group, LLC is a private family owned and operated business which builds, owns and rents luxury homes in the Boston Suburbs since 1985. Although many of our properties are located in the Boston Suburbs , we find ourselves spending more and more time in Cape Cod. We hope that you enjoy this house as much as we have over the years!

Why they chose this property

Our house is located in a quiet family friendly neighborhood. Although close enough to the Mayflower Beach to walk (and hear it), it's far enough away that we don't have a constant flow of cars passing by our house. The Town of Dennis prohibits parking on the streets of our neighborhood to prevent beach parking by all the people who can’t get into the beach parking lot. Fortunately our guests don’t have to worry about the beach parking lot because it’s a short walk to the beach. In the alternative, you could choose to use the beach drop off area outside the parking lot. We provide four off street parking spaces in our driveway for the exclusive use of our guests.

What makes this property unique

May Flower Beach is one of THE BEST family friendly beaches on Cape Cod and is one of a very few beaches on the east coast where the sun sets over the water. At low tide the beach is enormous with lots of room for whatever you want to do. The unique benefit of Louis Ave is that it is within a short walk to the beach. (You will find that the Beach Parking lot fills up very quickly all throughout the summer.)

Question: What made us fall in love with our home?
Answer: For many years the only Cape Cod we knew was Rt 28, including all the hotels along Hyannis and the constant traffic jam during the summer months. Over 20 years ago we were invited by friends to visit Mayflower Beach and the first time we stepped over the dunes and on to the beach we instantly knew that we had found "old cape cod". For several years we rented in the neighborhood before we were fortunate to find a piece of land where we built our first house, a custom built home with an open first floor plan before open floor plans were in vogue. Whether we are sitting on the front porch, the back deck or just inside the house there is something about being in Cape Cod that is just relaxing. We liked it so much that we built a second home across the street.
