This first floor accommodation is accessible via an external wooden staircase. The accommodation sleeps 2 people and has a bedroom with a double bed and built in wardrobe, 1 bathroom with bath and shower, and a kitchen/lounge dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped including a built in fridge ,washer/dryer machine, electric hob, and combi microwave. There is a breakfast bar with bar stools. The lounge dining room has a dining table and chairs a sofa and armchair with foot stool and built in cupboards. There is TV/ DVD, internet access and oil fired central heating in the property.
The property benefits from lovely views to the back and front and has a light and airy feel with a large window in the main living area.
There is a secluded outside seating area and plenty of available parking. Pets are welcome but must be able to climb stairs as the property is on the first floor. Also any pets must be able to get along with other dogs, cats and horses.
The barn enjoys a very quiet rural location with 17 acres of land encompassing the property and acres of farmland surrounding its boundaries which can be explored on one of the many public footpaths. The local landscape is mostly made up of various arable crops and the odd field of sheep.
Quiet single track lanes lead to the nearest village of Charsfield about 1.5 miles away where there is a pub, petrol station, church and recreation ground with a tennis court. The nearest shop and post office is located in the village of Otley about 10 minutes drive away or alternatively at Wickham Market also a 10 minute drive where there are shops and amenities including Chinese & Indian restaurants and a fish & chip shop.
Owls Nest is located in the Suffolk countryside about seven miles from the historic small towns of Woodbridge and Framlingham. Woodbridge is situated on the River Deben and walks along the river can be enjoyed from the town. It also has a very pleasant shopping centre with small interesting shops, pubs and restaurants, Woodbridge has a cinema, railway station and swimming pool. Framlingham also has plenty of history and is famous for its castle a magnificent 12th century fortress with a long and colourful past which makes a fascinating day out. The castle was once the refuge of Mary Tudor before she became Queen in 1553 and visitors can now explore over 800 years of life at Framlingham Castle. Like Woodbridge, Framlingham also has small shops and coffee shops to visit.
The Suffolk Heritage Coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty is within a short drive. The many places to visit include Aldeburgh which is well known for its international music festival. It also hosts an annual regatta and carnival. There are interesting shops and places to eat including famous fish and chips which can be enjoyed on the beach. Another is Southwold a charming town with a pier and beach and home to the Adnams beer where you can take a tour of the brewery. At Minsmere you will find the RSPB reserve. There is so much to see and hear at Minsmere: splendid woodland, wetland and coastal scenery, rare birds breeding and calling in on their migrations, shy wildlife like otters, the booming call of bitterns in spring, beautiful bugs and colourful wild flowers in summer. Minsmere was the location for the BBC Spring Watch series in 2014, 2015 & 2016. There are plenty of country pubs in the area to visit if you enjoy eating out. Forest walks are close by in the forests of Tunstall, Rendlesham and Dunwich.
