Host profile image
I am a Graham County native. When I graduated from high school I attended Mars Hill College and then the University of Tennessee. Eventually, I came back home to live in 1995 and have been here ever since. I have worked as a school counselor, an event coordinator and 4-H agent. I am currently the director of after school and summer programs for the school system.

Why they chose this property

My father bought the property in the 1950's and operated a garage in the rock building. Later on a hardware store with apartments on top was built. My parents had monthly rentals from the 1960's until my mother's death.

I inherited the property from my parents when my mother passed away in 2010. I did not want to continue do monthly rentals and thought I might enjoy opening the apartments to guests and meeting people who came here to visit.

We have been remodeling one apartment at a time. We opened in 2014 and now we have three apartments available and are working on getting the fourth ready for guests.

After the apartments are completed we will begin work on landscaping and renovating the old rock garage into usable space. We have a vision for what the property will be in five more years and would love to have guests share in our journey.

What makes this property unique

The property is located in town and is close to a lot of attractions and government offices.

I have notebooks in each apartment listing things to do in the area. I try to make suggestions on places to visit, where to eat, and what not to miss if you have the time.

In addition, my sister and I live on the property so there is someone nearby most of the time.
