The cabin is well -equipped with everything you can think of. We enjoyed biking the rail trail and kayaking in the lake. The fireworks were lovely and it was nice to swim at the beach. We enjoyed meeting and talking to the owners who are very nice people. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
My family and I had a great time at the lake. The camp was well maintained. The view was amazing and the shallow cove was perfect for the kids to swim in safely.
Overlooking lake Champlain beautiful view . While it was very hot, the bedroom stayed pleasantly cool with fan on. We didn’t like the mattress so we slept on what I think was the box spring wonderfulGreat to be so close to the bike path. We’re hoping to come back next summer
The camp was exactly what we were looking for and the property matched its pictures and description. Clean, functional cottage on the lake with a wonderful back porch for reading, sunsets, etc. We swam in the lake every day and walked/cycled the causeway which is close by. The location is very quiet for traffic from both cars and boats.

It was nice to meet you both and we are happy you enjoyed your stay.
This is a lovely two bedroom cottage ("camp") that is charmingly decorated. The breezy front porch offers outstanding sunset views of the Lake and the Causeway. The long and steep stairway down to the shoreline has handrails on both sides and are in great repair. The kitchen is very well-appointed in terms of cooking equipment and dinnerware. Note that there are no staples other than salt and pepper, so bring your own oil, vinegar, flour, sugar, etc. It's a great location: the Mallett's Bay area is charming and Burlington is very close.
The cabin was extremely clean. The views from the porch were breath taking. We spent the most time on the porch. Michelle was quick to responsed to any question i had. I needed a nice relaxing drama free week and thats what i got. Highly recommend.

So happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. We appreciate your kind words. Have a happy rest of your summer. Michele
Great location, very quick to get onto the causeway to enjoy the great views, and easy to ride to one of the many great parks in Colchester. Kids really enjoyed the clear shallow bay. The house was ideal for the 4 of us, clean, plenty of kitchen tools, and great support from Mark and Michele on any questions we had. A+

We are so happy your family had fun. Thank you so much, hope you can come again. Michele
Everything you could ask for! The cottage has warmth and charm - very clean and nicely decorated (decor and furniture) with an airy front porch that offers amazing views of the lake. It's in a great location - Colchester has beaches and restaurants and is a short drive to Burlington. The owners were wonderful with communication and attention to detail. We've rented twice and would consider going back again.

Thank you! It was so nice to host you and your family again and we are so happy you enjoyed your time at the camp. We would love to have you back anytime. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
We enjoyed are stay in this house. It was very clean and right on the lake- every night was a spectacular sunset (well except for the day it rained!). Very near a multipurpose trail for running/walking/biking, that lead to the causeway out into the lake. It was fun running on it! I would definitely recommend this house. It was very nice for our family of 4.

Incredible location, rustic with great amenities
We spent a week here with our kids and we're really happy with our stay. The location is incredible - the view of the bay from the porch is definitely the highlight. It is around the corner from the causeway bike trail which is a 4 mile path that goes right across the bay - great for walking or biking. Easy drive to Burlington within fifteen mins or shelboune approx 20-25 mins. The cabin is great - feels rustic enough to be a special experience, but really well stocked kitchen, living and bedrooms to make life easy while you're there. Beds are comfortable, very clean place. Would love to stay again.

Thank you for your nice review. It was a pleasure having your family. So happy you enjoyed camp! Mark and Michele
This cottage was a perfect spot for our family vacation in Vermont. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook meals in the home. The location was great for our day trips we planned which included The Vermont Teddy Bear Company, Shelburne Farms, Church Street Marketplace, and Ben and Jerry's. Michele provided great recommendations of other places to visit as well. She was very welcoming and the rental process was simple and we had great communication during our stay. We enjoyed our time spent at the private beach. The small dock was not in the lake until our last day, however my kids had fun floating on rafts and swimming in the water. We would definitely stay here again!
The property was perfect for what I was looking for. There is a private beach and dock on the lake. The house itself had all the essentials we needed. The owners have a house next door, but I barely saw them and they never bothered us. Some of the reviews complained about the walk/stairway down to the beach - I thought it was totally fine unless you had very small children or elderly. If you are looking for a quaint quiet spot on the lake, this is for you. Great access to the bike path which goes across the lake.
My family (hubby, 5 year old, and 10 month old) all had an amazing week at this camp. The location is amazing-- right on the water in a calm, protected area, and directly adjacent to the Causeway for walking and cycling. The hosts were excellent and very communicative. My favorite part is that it was SUPER CLEAN! Our baby crawled all over the place and never got dirty-- that is a great testament to how well they keep this camp up. I was worried that there wasn't a dryer, but clothes dried very fast on the clothes line outside so it wasn't a problem at all. We will definitely be back!

Stephanie, we enjoyed having you as guests. Thank you so much for your kind words and hope you do return! Michele
-cabin had pleasant appearance, kitchen equipment well organized, "beach" almost nonexistent due to high water this summer, but access adequate, & the lake there very nice for swimming. I would recommend getting a dish drainer for handwashing dishes, and a clothes dryer on top of the washing machine. In this moist environment, dankness and mustiness are the enemy of comfort.
Had a great time staying at this cute camp. It was immaculate and had everything we needed for a memorable trip. Loved the view of Mallets Bay and the causeway. A great week for us!
Best views and sunsets on Malletts Bay, walking distance to the Causeway Trail. Location great for getting to Burlington or other Vermont spots. Cottage has everything we needed and owners responsive. Would definitely stay here again.
Very nice well stocked camp. Water is warm and shallow, location convenient and owners easy. Wonderful views. Bring bikes if you can. We had a great stay.
This cottage was our quiet getaway from the big loud family reunion that we were attending while in VT. It was perfect. Quiet, safe, clean and had everything we needed. I stayed there with my teenage son. The beds were comfortable. The owners were great about communicating. The weather was perfect when we were there. One thing to keep in mind was that the owners do not provide sheets and towels, which I found a little odd for a rental. I’m guessing most people are driving there, so it’s not a problem for them to bring these things. We were flying. I reached out to the owner ahead of time and they were very accommodating - very easy to work with.
The location of the house is outstanding. The owner is friendly. The causeway bike path is very close. The house is close to services and central to places we wanted to go. Access to the lake with our kayaks was a bit of a challenge getting them up and down the steep stairs.

We grew up in the area and have spent many years on Lake Champlain. Having just purchased this property adjacent to ours, we like to share this beautiful location with everyone. Come and enjoy the lake!
Why they chose this property
Close to everything - and nothing, truly the best of both worlds. Lots of friendly neighbors or just hang out and enjoy the privacy. Relax on the beach, or walk out to the bike path. Watch the hummingbirds from the patio while you have your coffee in the morning. Low key and breathtaking too. If you enjoy baseball, take in a Vermont Lake Monsters' game. Eat at many of the casual to fine restaurants the area has to offer. See Church Street, visit the Shelburne Museum or see a movie under the stars st the Sunset Drive-In. So many choices to make your vacation wonderful.
What makes this property unique
Privacy, views, fresh air and clean, clear water just waiting to be yours. Minutes to Burlington, Williston and the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex.
