An ideal place for a picture perfect view of the split between New York and Vermont, that is Lake Champlain. No complaints here! However, one of the beds was a bit bouncy and a little uncomfortable considering it was a spring mattress. We also understand that there was no washer and dryer available and if there was any clothing to be washed, we'd have to shuttle over to a nearby Laundromat, which is fine considering it might not have been possible to fit a washer and dryer inside. Otherwise the experience was very enjoyable and we would definitely come back!

We loved it!

The perfect camp for our getaway! We had enough room, peace and quiet, close to town, but out away from others. Thank you so much for opening your beautiful camp to us!

Colchester

Just as described, we enjoyed a bit of coolness and color. Was able to get around easily. Too cold for us desert lizards to actually get in the water, but great views!

This cottage was in ideal location about midway on the Burlington Bike Path and less than a quarter mile from the trail on a quiet road. And Colchester is a much quieter area than Burlington and without the parking hassles. It was very well provisioned and very comfortable with an enclosed porch convenient for bikes, a nice sun room, well equipped kitchen, comfortable living area, an outdoor picnic table, and kayaks. We also took a couple of walks on the Lake Champlain beach just steps from the property. Both the owner and the nearby property manager were responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful time on our first trip to the Burlington area for biking and hiking. We want to return for kayaking.

Hi Alfonso, I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the Burlington area and, in particular, the bike path. Like you, we also enjoy walking along the beach. Please come back for some kayaking. You have nearby Lake Champlain and also 2 nearby rivers for good kayaking: the Lamoille and the Winooski. Thank you for taking the time to review our cottage. Best wishes to you! Ron and Mary Muir

We have enjoyed this cottage for many years, and it's been a fun summer getaway for our children and grandkids. We are excited to share this little treasure with other families for a few weeks at least. I think we take it for granted sometimes, and it's wonderful to experience other families' excitement about features that we also love.

Why they chose this property

The beach is usually very quiet, and our grassy yard and new deck are perfect places to enjoy lake breezes and views of the broad lake.

What makes this property unique

We have great beach access. Another plus is the second porch. We are only a half-mile from Airport Park, with its fields, playground, and extensive walking/biking trails. In the other direction is the Colchester Causeway, where either biking or walking, you experience Lake Champlain on both sides.
