We stayed here with our newborn and it was the perfect space for a ski weekend - super close to palisades and had all the amenities. Would be a great place to stay with a family! Would love to stay again with a bigger group!
We had a wonderful stay in Tahoe Taverns and this property has a perfect location. It's close to the entrance and minutes from Tahoe City and close to local resorts. The management company was extremely responsive and helpful when we had some questions about the heating and how to turn on the water. It was a perfect size for teens and family and convenient.
We’ve been making memories at Tahoe Tavern since 1970. This week just added to the great stories. Thanks!
Holly is a great communicator. Really appreciated that.
We had a wonderful family vacation! Perfect for all of us! We look forward to coming back again!
The condo fit our family needs perfectly. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed and very comfortable. Also very suitable for young children. It is centrally located and the children loved riding their bikes safely on the bike trails, going in the heated pool, and playing on the river and lake. Lovely stay! Host was quick to respond and easy to reach. We had a great time! We look forward to returning again soon! Thank you!
We rented this condo over President's week. It is in the perfect location for everything. It was only 10 minutes to the mountain and right at the Lake. Unit was clean and comfortable. Our only issue is that there is no cell service near the unit so when we got there, we tried to pull up the instructions but then could not. Screenshot or download them ahead of time!
Hard to beat this property if you want to be on the lakefront and walk downtown. The unit is somewhat dated but that is reflected in the pricing. It was very clean and has a better layout than some of the other units we looked in on while visiting. The master suite is upstairs with the living room and kitchen, and the other two bedrooms and two bathrooms are downstairs. There were some screens that were torn that need replacement. As with most of Tahoe, there is no AC so being able to keep windows open is important. There was a power outage wow our last night and none of the flashlights were functioning and all of the candles were worn out. We would say here again.

Thank you for your feedback Will! We really appreciate it and look forward to hosting you again in the future!
The location is amazing but 2 of the beds were broken, which caused uncomfortable sleeping situations for some people.
There were two different alarms/ beeping going off in the middle of the night. We cut our trip short one night because of all of this.

We always work to do everything we can to make sure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Future guests-PLEASE contact us if you have an issue during your stay so we can help you. This guest did not reach out to us.
This property is a typical unremodeled Tahoe Tavern condo. It's in Tahoe Tavern which is the most convenient location in Tahoe City or the West Shore. But it's close to the main road which makes it noisy.
The unit is fine but again it hasn't been remodeled. But there were lots of beds for everyone and the grounds in Tahoe Tavern are great.
If you can get an inexpensive price, it works. But I wouldn't pay a premium to stay in this unit.
I will say the management was very responsive to challenges which I appreciated.

Thanks for the appreciation and we are glad we were able to fix the issues you experienced quickly. I'd like to add this guest paid a higher price because it was a holiday time period. Thank you,
The unit was superficially clean, but after being in the unit a short while, we found that the floors were filthy (our feet turned black with dirt in 15 minutes) and we had to mop the floors and clean the unit. The vacuum didn't work, the baby gate was in poor shape and broke, a shade was missing in the family room, and the oven wasn't anchored and ended up falling on our 1 year old grandson (fortunately he was not seriously injured.). Bottom line is this is not a unit I would want to stay in again.

We are so sorry that you had the scare with your grandson. For future guests, ovens and other major appliances are not typically mounted to the wall-please make sure young children don't climb on them or are left unsupervised.
We really appreciate knowing if there are any maintenance or housekeeping issues during your stay, so we can correct them. It is unfortunate that this guest only let us know after they departed and didn't give us a chance to fix items during their stay.
Charming townhouse with nice treetop outlooks. We enjoyed the deck off the living room and proximity to town. Also the pool overlooking the lake is wonderful. The downstairs bedrooms suffer from some road noise. Management was very responsive.
I've been coming to Tahoe Tavern since I was a kid, and unit 101 did not disappoint. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The check in couldn't have been easier. The community has a private pool and pier out to the lake. Would definitely recommend!
We stayed in July with a total of 7 adult men and had plenty of room. Grill was serviceable and had plenty of propane. Access and parking was not nothing, but gate attendants were friendly and not super strict. Parking worked fine, and overflow was .5 miles away if needed for 3rd car. Walkable (.5 miles) to bridge/bridgetender area.
So we are big time and long term Summer and Winter Tahoe Fans and had not been to Tahoe Tavern for over 30 years, so we took our two young adult kids (18) and their Friends and spent 10 days. The unit was Tahoe Rustic and great for us, plenty of space with a nice deck off the back. Tahoe Tavern is wonderful as it is guarded and thus super private with lots of wonderful lake tahoe beachfront, a pool with views of the lake and a fun long Pier to walk out on and swim off of. Also Tahoe Tavern is close to lots of our favorite restaurants and the Truckee River. The negatives were the contact people were initially not very responsive nor helpful when we were trying to figure out the properties Covid status, to the point where we almost cancelled, but they got better as time went on. Also the property is right on the road and thus you get lots of road noise, next time we go, we will try and get a unit closet to the lake.
Location was exactly what we were looking for - west side, walk to lake without crossing streets, walking distance to Tahoe City, easy access. Also, the check-in and check-out process could not be easier. I may have overlooked this in the posting, but I hoped/expected it to be a bit closer to the lake and/or have a line of sight to the lake. There is not a view, and it is a 5 minute walk to the lake, but you do not need to cross a street - just stroll through the grounds. There was only one broken cutting board (that I could find), so the unit needs a couple new ones. The unit is in very good working order and is very clean, but the unit and furniture are dated, and for the price, I was hoping for/expecting something more up to date. We were there during a bit of a heat wave, so having more than the one ceiling fan would have been nice. Overall, it worked out very well for us, and we were happy - these are just a couple tips to make it even better.
The property had plenty of room and beds for the group of 6 of us staying for a long weekend of spring skiing. The location was very convenient for getting to squaw and alpine. Tahoe city was a great place to grab some dinner on the lakefront too!
This was a perfect getaway spot for my husband & I and our daughter and 2 friends, seniors in high school ready to get to the snow as we were. Super clean, great layout, had everything we needed and space for all. Close to town and we skid at Homewood so convenient all the way around. Everyone was able to zoom for class and meetings as needed! Property manager was super responsive and check in/check out was a breeze. Would highly recommend, we hope to return.
