Blue Lagoon Lodge On Deer Lake!🦌Hot tub. One of the cleanest lakes in MN ❤️

This four bedroom Lakehome sits on the south side of Deer Lake in a quiet bay. We have completely remodeled the home from top to bottom. New floors, Quartz counter-tops, new cabinets, appliances, lighting and updated finishing throughout. This cabin is the perfect combination of rustic and modern. Our cabin has 4 bedrooms,+ Loft 2 baths and comfortably sleeps 10. We also have a laundry room which is very convenient for our quests. Deer Lake is one of the premier lakes in Minnesota, often mentioned in Travel and Leisure. Often called the Lake of Changing colors, the mineral content of the crystal blue waters change colors throughout the day are one of the many unique things about this gorgeous lake! Great swimming beach and a dock made out of maintenance free material so you won't get splinters.

Our cabin is decorated with scandinavian influences and all of our art work in the cabin is from local artists. We also have a fire pit area, a nice side deck for sun and grilling, and another gathering spot under the trees. WIFI, Flat Screen television for movies (located in the loft) , cable television and a sonos music player in home. All of the beds and mattresses are new in the home. ( and very comfortable) Deer Lake is also one of the best fishing lakes in the state. Easy access to the Chippewa National Forest and the Soumi Trail system.

The home features a large deck for grilling and dining and also provides stunning views of the lake. There is a gradual slope to the lake ( no stairs or steps). Also included is a fire-pit area and a second hang-out, a gathering spot in the shade.

**** New Outdoor Hot Tub installed January 7th 2018. Seats 8! Perfect for relaxing on a chilly night or after snowmobiling.

Great place with all that was needed

Beaatiful lake place that had all we needed. Cooked for 10 for entire week and had all cooking supplies needed. Plenty of trailer, boat and vehicle parking tha made it easy for everyone. Lake is a beautiful lake with lots of fish to catch. Was really impressed with the whole set-up and our stay. We will be back.

Wonderful Lake Property

Gathered my family of adult children here for a funeral in Deer River. Wanted a place for immediate family and close friends to be together. Was excellent for that purpose. Great kitchen for cooking. Wonderful open space for people to enjoy conversation, food and fun. We stayed at the end of October - and were treated to a snowstorm. The fireplace made things cozy.

Girls Getaway

The home is beautiful and is set on the hill of a wonderful lake. The hot tub was very clean and beds were super comfortable. The only reason I gave a 4/5 on the accuracy of the listing is that I didn’t see (or maybe just missed it) that there are many stairs to go up/down to get to the home from the car. We had one person with a broken foot (in a boot) and one person that had total reconstruction of their leg due to an accident… stairs just made it much more difficult. But, the once in, it was fantastic!!

Cute Cabin on lovely Lake with call of the Loons!

We really enjoyed our stay at Janelles Cabin on Deer Lake. It had everything we needed for a great time at the lake. Plenty of dishes/glasses/towels. Beds were comfortable, and the bedrooms were so dang cute! The outdoor area including the dock was great, lots of seating and comfy area to read a book. We also enjoyed grilling on the nice big grill! Then lake was beautiful, clean and the color...WOW! The only thing I would let future renters know is to bring drinking water, if they don't like the smell of sulfur. I believe this is well water, and for my taste it wasn't palpable. Other then that, great place.

Overpriced

This place is way overpriced for what you get. I thought it would be much nicer from the online images. There was no soap in the showers. One of the comforters on a bed was still wet. The TV was in the loft and had no good seating to view it. The couch in the family room was so used I practically was swallowed up in it. Nice place and location but overpriced!

Jeff, You came to our beautiful cabin on MEA Weekend in Minnesota which is high demand and more expensive. There was soap and it is located under the sink a brand new bottle, unfortunately you didn’t bother to ask me about it or I would have told you. As far as the couch? I’m not sure if you like firmer couches but in 6 years I have never had a negative review about my Restoration Hardware couch. In 6 years of renting I have never had a single person say one negative thing about my house so thank you for trying to damage my business, hopefully future renters can look at my other reviews and make their own assumption on how my home is. You are crying over sour grapes because you paid a premium price on a holiday weekend!

Christmas Staycation

Our stay at this cabin was very comfortable. We had 5 adults with still one extra queen bed and one or two twin beds available. Kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking/baking utensils, cookware and small appliances. Don't forget coffee! The Keurig was in use every morning! Very nice Whirlpool kitchen appliances: fridge, range, microwave and dishwasher. All appliances were very clean. Kitchen window looks out over Deer Lake. Beautiful view in any season. The living spaces were cozy and comfortable. The upper level loft area with a 52" TV was a fun spot to watch movies and football. Or to cozy up and read your favorite book. There were lots of board games and decks of cards available to play. Both bathrooms were also clean and stocked with towels. All faucets and showers worked well. We stayed here in December and still the hot tub was ready for use. Although, we did not use it. There is a nice size laundry room with a sink and washer and dryer available. During the summer the wrap around deck leading to the hot tub and firepit (split wood is on site) would be a great gathering spot to enjoy the view of the lake. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. This property is on a dead-end road, not at the end but about a quarter mile from the end. There are several steps with hand rails leading down to the cabin from the parking area. I would definitely recommend this property! Owners were always available for questions.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was beautiful, comfortable, well-stocked. The highlight (and selling point for us) were the kayaks, paddle boat and hot tub. We stayed during cold October weekend, it snowed for one day- but kayaking and relaxing in the hot tub was perfect in that weather.

I grew up in Grand Rapids and have always loved coming "Up North" We bought the cabin in 2015 to have a getaway from our busy work schedules and to spend time with our children so they can see how we grew up!

Why they chose this property

We chose Deer Lake because it is a slower pace then a lot of the Lakes in Itasca County. We also loved the calming blue waters and easy access to the Chippewa National Forest. We call Deer Lake the "Caribbean of The North." It truly is one of cleanest lakes in the State! Stay at our cabin a week to see why this cabin and Lake are so special ! Another interesting tidbit--- I grew up on Lake Pokegama, but chose to Purchase on Deer Lake simply because I feel like it's a better lake. It's not a party lake by any means ( unlike Pokeg) but it's the perfect Lake to take your family and show them an amazing time. :)

What makes this property unique

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Norway and Sweden at Lake Cottages for a few weeks. I have always wanted a nordic feel for my cabin and I feel with my re-desiging certain elements, and remodeling the entire cabin, I have achieved my vision for the perfect Scandinavian looking Lake Home!I White washed walls, planked floors in a washed- out muted grey, faux fur throws, combined with pops of color give this cabin a cozy modern feel.
