Luxury cabin near Rocky Top Sports! Featuring a home theater, hot tub + views!
Because Rocky Top Lookout is only a mile from Rocky Top Sports World, it’s a great choice of lodgings if you’re in town for a sports tournament. Then again, it’s a great choice if you’re visiting the area for any reason. The four-bedroom log cabin is packed with amenities, offers awe-inspiring views of the Great Smoky Mountains, and is just a short drive to the local attractions.
Rocky Top Lookout was renovated from top to bottom in spring 2016, so just about every aspect of the cabin sparkles, glows, or gleams. The oversize windows of the open-plan living/dining/kitchen area let in plenty of sunshine to show off the burnished wood-planked floors, walls, and ceilings. They also enable you to relish the views of Mount LeConte and the old-growth woodlands even as you sprawl out on the living room sofa or sit down to eat at the dining table. A fireplace adds a golden glow and warmth to the space in winter; in summer the ceiling fan brings a welcome breeze.
The living area has a 55-inch flat-screen TV, but if you want to view the big game or a favorite movie, you might want to head downstairs to the home theater. The screen is huge—120-inch—with 7.1 surround sound and a web-enabled setup with cable channels and Blu-ray. Ten people can kick back in its theater-style seats. After watching a movie here, you may never want to go to your local cinema again!
Downstairs also has a game room with its own TV, plus bumper pool and a multi-game arcade. Should you work up a thirst while playing, you can grab a drink from the game room’s wet bar with mini fridge, rather than run upstairs to the kitchen.
Speaking of the kitchen, it’s as pristine as the rest of Rocky Top Lookout, from the stainless-steel appliances to the ample counter space. If you’re in the mood for barbecue, you can use the park-style charcoal grill right outside. You can dine outside too, at the picnic table on the main level’s covered deck. The sight of falcons soaring over the Smoky Mountains and the sound of the fresh breeze whispering through the towering trees will make even the simplest meal seem like a feast.
The decks have plenty of rocking chairs as well, so that you can listen to chickadees and larks greet the day and enjoy stargazing while tree frogs and crickets serenade at night. Ceiling fans make the deck a cool place to revel in the view even during a hot summer day.
All 4 of Rocky Top Lookout’s bedrooms are designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. The downstairs bedroom includes a king-size bed. One of the upstairs bedrooms features a queen-size bed, while the second upstairs room has queen-size bunk beds, so that four people can sleep there. Each room has its own flat-panel TV.
The primary suite, however, is especially luxurious. Located on the main floor, it includes a king-size bed and a 55-inch web-enabled flat-screen TV. Perhaps best of all, its spacious en-suite bathroom boasts a roomy jetted tub and a wall of windows so that you can bask in the view of the lush woodlands while you bathe.
Rocky Top Lookout’s other amenities include free Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer, a full bathroom on each floor, and a sofa in the living area that opens into a queen-size bed, enabling the cabin to sleep 12 people in all. Its best amenity, though, might be its convenient location. As well as being just a mile from Rocky Top Sports World, the cabin is only a mile from the Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Loop, an 8-mile trail of more than 100 galleries, studios, and shops. Less than 15 minutes away is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park; ditto downtown Gatlinburg, home to an aquarium, thrill rides, the Guinness World Records Museum, mini golf, restaurants, and more.
Rocky Top Lookout is a perfect home base for your best getaway yet. So book your stay today—before somebody else beats you to it!

Perfect cabin for a Soccer Tournament weekend. Internet was lagging a little but scrolling wasnt the reason for the trip. Kids loved the hot tub and movie room was perfect for a little NCAA basketball viewing.

Really nice place with authentic cabin feel. Tucked away up a steep grade road for privacy, beds were a little stiff for my liking but overall very clean with plenty of room for the group of 10 we had and got to experience a couple visitors as well
Everything was great. Wonderful stay!!! Super close to town, beautiful home and our family really enjoyed it!

This cabin is tucked into the side of the hill with a cute view. If there were neighbors we never noticed. Plus it's only a few minutes to downtown Gatlinburg! It's a great spot to stay when visiting this area.

Paula, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for choosing to stay with us.
We saw more than one bear - don’t go outside at night unless you are on the upper deck. One reached up over the rail on the lower deck near the hot tub. The theater room doesn’t get WiFi - so no movies. Overall it was as described. Just bring TP and paper towels. Kitchen well stocked with everything we needed.
Accommodations perfect for our family. 2 preteen girls, 3 couples and a dog! Girls loved media room! Great location and great accommodation !
Highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin
Beautiful place, wonderfully stocked. I wish the yard had not had so much garbage in it but I understand the winds make it difficult to keep clean

Great view and nice cabin! Close to Gatlinburg.
Great view and nice cabin! Close to Gatlinburg. Loved the theater, nice deck, hot tub, and nice bedrooms. Recommend adding basic amenities to last the length of stay: hand soap, dishwasher soap, paper towels and toilet paper. Perhaps access to a vacuum cleaner.

Beautiful cabin that is clean and cozy. 10 of us stayed and it was perfect for each family to have their own level/bedroom. Would lobe to have more seating in living room so we could all sit comfortably together. But we made it work. Perfect spot just outside of town. Be sure to lock thebear bin, as w
The property was a perfect size for our family. Our grand daughters were up stairs in the bunk beds and my son and his wife were upstairs next to them. We had the master and my daughter had the bottom floor. We loved the hot tub and movie room. The dining area was so bathed with natural light and a breathtaking view. We did so many activities, from Dollywood, to caverns, to seeing the falls. Perfect family vaca.
Overall the cabin was very nice and accurately matched the online photos. We only experienced a couple of minor issues with the amenities. The view from the cabin was a little disappointing and could be improved with the removal of a couple of trees that have grown. The property would also be improved with the trimming of a couple of shrubs out front.
So the negatives….absolutely no frying pans in the house, no scissors, no hot pads, the charcoal grill is a joke but we still used it. And we had to call and get the sound fixed in the theater. It was missing a cable.
Pros….clean, great location, had an amazing time.
House was beautiful. Couldnt get the surround system to work in theater room. Would recommend taking trash cans out of outside disposal box and placing in basement when staying. Bear snapped the latch they had in first 2 nights. He was determined. WWould
We had a great time...so many things to love about this cabin but I must warn future travelers about the kitchen supplies. If you intend on cooking and have need of things like cookie sheets or oven mitts bring your own...the cookware, utensils (we had to do a load of dishes after meals bc if not we wouldn’t have enough silverware), etc did leave much to be desired. I might also mention that the grill was a little worse for wear...thankfully we didn’t need it. Overall though loved the cabin and would definitely stay again.

Thank you for the great feedback. We can’t wait to see you again!
Beautiful view but there are a few of maintenance items that could make the property much nicer. The dishwasher needs a wheel on the top rack so that it works properly. The property around the building needs to be cleaned up trash possibly a local bear or whatever but still. The downstairs bedroom could use some way to to store at least a few clothes in the bedroom you know even some hooks would help.
We did not stay at the Rocky top listing we had booked. Your management company called us as we were driving there to check in and said it was no longer available- some kind of issues that made it unlivable. I have to say that I was really upset because I had booked very early and this trip was our Christmas gift to our whole family- BUT, you quickly found an even nicer place- closer to town and it was spectacular! Everyone loved it and the kids loved it so much they just wanted to stay there- hot tub, indoor pool, pool table, game room, theatre!
It was called The Mountain View Pool Lodge and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
We booked this place because my grandparents owned this cabin for 25 years and we’ve had a lot of memories made here. It is not as well taken care of as it used to be. However, it was great to make more memories in this place we knew so well. I think the living area could use another chair, along with some blankets. The trash bin outside is NOT bear proof. We saw a mom and her 2 cubs lift the top, pull out both trash cans and go through every bit of trash.. it could definitely use a lock of some sort! The surround sound doesn’t work, and maintenance couldn’t figure it out. But they were able to fix the fireplace for us so we could enjoy it. Other than that, the place had everything we needed and was a good fit for our family trip. Thanks for having us.
The only two things we where disappointed was the there wasn’t working quite well the system wasn’t plugged or working there’s to many cables we didn’t wanted to touch we didn’t wanted to mess it up so we didn’t touch it so we didn’t enjoy that plus there’s no saved movies the people has to rent their own movies but yeah no voice and the second thing was the coffe maker didn’t work at all other than that everything was great the jacuzzi was great the cleaning part was great the view around was awesome we loved the rest and pretty much enjoyed it definitely will rent again .
