I own a business in MA and had been looking forward to this vacation for months. We got to the house and spent 10 minutes trying to get in. The lockbox wasn’t working, but finally we got in. Initial impression was a gorgeous home with an amazing view. As we settled in, we noticed there were thermostats on the walls, but none of them work. The heat is steam, and is controlled by a dial. No instructions, so 2 of our party froze the first night. The beds were comfortable. Our shower head was loose so water sprayed all up the wall and we had to fix that. The second da our internet went out because the owners didn’t pay their bill (the TV actually have a message stating bill was not paid), so my wife and I couldn’t connect to work (we stated this was important prior to ever coming there). At 3.5k for a week, it **** sure isn’t because they can’t afford it. The coffee pot was 100 years old and took 30 minutes to brew coffee (again, for the price, pretty ridiculous). To AVH’s credit, we called them and the internet was fixed that day and they brought us a new coffee pot. There were several other things (neighbors running power tools early in the morning, etc.) but it was a decent stay, overall. I would not get this house again, but I will be using AVH again. Great company.
