Elegant mountain lodge 10 km from Granada

A beautiful, spacious, and recently renovated traditional house with a large garden and pool in a village located in the heart of the Sierra de Huétor Natural Park, offering views of the Sierra Nevada. It’s in a cooler area during the summer and is 10 km from Sacromonte in Granada, which can be reached on foot along the Darro River or by bus. A quiet village with shops and restaurants just a few minutes’ walk away. One hour from the Sierra Nevada ski resort and 50 minutes from the beaches of Motril.

The house is located on a fenced-in private property of about 3,000 m² in the heart of the village, yet offers plenty of privacy and views of the Sierra Nevada. Recently renovated and stylishly decorated, it is a two-story home. On the ground floor, there is a large open-concept space with an entryway featuring a living/work/dining area, a living room with a fireplace, and a dining room with a table for six people. Also on this floor is a large kitchen with a breakfast bar and a fireplace, a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with two 105-cm single beds, two full bathrooms with showers, and another bedroom with a bunk bed and a single bed, as well as its own bathroom. On the ground floor, there is a spacious bedroom with two single beds, featuring large windows overlooking the garden and the Sierra Nevada, as well as a library.

In the spacious and well-maintained garden, there is a fenced-in area with a huge 8 x 13-meter pool. It features lounge chairs, outdoor furniture, and a shaded area; a gazebo with a parasol and a table for 8 people; several fruit trees; and a vegetable garden from which guests can pick fresh, seasonal produce.

A gardener comes several times a week to tend to the garden, the pool, and the vegetable garden.

The house is located in the heart of a village within the Sierra de Huétor Natural Park, on a large, fenced-in property that offers complete privacy. Just a few metres away is the best restaurant in town, and the weekly farmers’ market is held there. There are also several shops and supermarkets just a few minutes’ walk from the house.

It is located just 10 km from Granada, above the Darro River and between the Sierra de Huétor and the Sierra Nevada. There are some beautiful hiking trails around the village, including a 2-hour hike that follows the Darro River until it enters Granada’s Sacromonte area, offering spectacular views.

It takes 20 minutes to reach Granada by car, and there is a regular bus service.

The Sierra Nevada ski resort is an hour’s drive away, the beaches of Motril are a 50-minute drive away, and Málaga and Almería are an hour and a half away.
