Emmalani court is a small, quiet complex in Princeville, near the Princeville Resort. After visiting the 4 main islands in Hawaii, we decided on the North shore for it's lush setting and laid back vibe. There is truly no other place like it in the world. We have been coming to Princeville for 15 years and decided on Emmalani due to it's location and amenities. We are within walking distance to beaches (10-15 minutes), the Bali Hai lookout, the Princeville Resort, and a short drive to many other amazing beaches as well as the unique town of Hanalei. Unit 422 has been renovated and includes brand new deluxe furnishings as well as amenities to make you feel right at home. Emmalani court complex is one of the few heated pools in Princeville. The kitchen is outfitted with new appliances and all cooking utensils we use at our house. We have a fun closet filled with beach gear (towels, chairs, boogie boards, snorkels, sand toys), games, books, and movies. We tried to outfit the condo with everything we like to use when we come on vacation so you'll feel right at home.

One of the most responsive and thoughtful hosts we've had. The owner obviously takes pride in their home, and the place was very clean and well taken care of. The location (proximity to sunset point) and pool were great. We really appreciated a/c in the bedrooms, every beach supply you could want, and the washer/dryer and full kitchen made it great for a family. A great base for exploring the North shore and we would happily stay here again.

Unfortunately, my stay did not meet expectations. There were ants throughout the kitchen, which made me unable to comfortably use the kitchen during my stay. When I notified the owner, she acknowledged being aware of the issue and advised that there was ant spray under the cabinet.I also experienced bugs in the bed. I was instructed to wash the sheets, but unfortunately, washing them did not resolve the issue. Due to these concerns, I did not feel comfortable continuing my stay and ultimately checked out a day early and booked a hotel.I understand that issues can occasionally arise with any property, but cleanliness and pest concerns should be addressed promptly, especially when they affect a guest’s ability to comfortably and safely use the accommodations.

I am sorry you were disappointed in your stay. You were at the property for several days before you notified me of ants in the kitchen. You also said that you had to throw food away that you had left out on the kitchen counter. I am pretty sure that is what attracted them. We always keep ant spray so that it is available for guests to use if they see an insect and want to use it. This does not imply that we have an ant problem. You sent me a photo of one small black bug on the sheets. That could have been brought in with your luggage. Our wonderful cleaning staff did not notice any ants in the kitchen or bugs in the bedroom. The previous guest did not mention this nor did the guest that stayed right after you. The cleaning staff did report food stains on the bedding from you eating in the bedroom. Hope you enjoyed the amazing pool, beautiful beaches, and gorgeous scenery of Kauai. Marla

The perfect place

We absolutely loved this place. It’s so close to Hanalei Bay and the neighborhood is lovely. My kids loved the pool and the sand toys and boogie boards to take to the beach. Will definitely stay here again.

The condo seemed very new, was beautiful, clean and well kept. Views were fantastic and the grounds were immaculate. The beds were very comfortable nice large soft towels in the bathrooms.When we had questions for Marla, she responded immediately.It was a fantastic week in Kauai and the apartment made it a special time.

We live in Alaska, so a vacation home in Hawaii is the perfect winter getaway. We try and get to the island 3-4 times per year and enjoy unwinding on the lush, laid back North Shore.

Why they chose this property

Emmalani is the perfect home base for all the places we like to visit on Kauai. There are always plenty of parking spaces available, the emaculate heated pool is never crowded, and the complex is super quiet!

What makes this property unique

Walk to the beach or the bluff for some of the best views in the world. View of Bali Hai sunset across Hanalei Bay. The trailhead to gorgeous Queen's Bath is a short 15 minute walk from the condo. The trailhead to secluded Hideways beach is a short 10 minute walk from the condo.
