Lakefront Cottage - Beautiful Grounds and Large Sandy Beach
Pristine log cabin on 100 feet of sandy beach surrounded by acres of woods and wildlife. The cabin has a knotty pine interior with cathedral ceiling and picture windows for great views. There are sliding glass doors that open to a covered porch with 2 wooden rocking chairs. There is a picnic table and charcoal grill close by. The grounds are park like with shady trees and flowers and trails to walk. There is a picnic table, swinging bench and fire pit on the beach. Moms can sit on the rocking chairs or swinging bench with a good book and a cup of coffee or evening cocktail while watching their children play. There is a dock and sea mooring to tie your boat or pwc to. Come enjoy the 10 mile long lake and travel to 3 other inland lakes and the Great Lakes via the 30 mile long inland waterway. Enjoy the wildlife. There are deer, rabbits, humming birds butterflies, swans, loons, bald eagles, and more.Listen to the crickets and frogs or catch fire flies at night. Fall asleep to the sounds of waves pounding on the beach. Roast hot dogs and make somores over an evening bonfire. Watch spectacular sunrises, sunsets and lie back and see a canopy of stars in an unbelievable black sky with no city lights to spoil it. Mullett Lake is a big clean clear sandy bottom lake and on a calm day you can see the ripples in the sand in 15 feet of water. Our beach has no rocks, weeds or blood suckers and the water is shallow and safe for children to play. After we remodeled and modernized the cabin the majority of our guests have come back year after year. Many families have rented one week every summer for over 15 years so their children could spend time together with their cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and be able to share some "wonderful summer memories." For your stay you'll need to bring your own sheets to fit double beds, pillow cases for standard pillows, towels, wash cloths and paper products. There are pots and pans, basic utensils, flatware, glasses, and dishes for 6 people. The cabin has a coffee maker and microwave. To keep the cabin and grounds in good condition and enjoyable for other guests we request no smoking indoors and no tents. We also ask you bring no pets or have visitors with pets during your stay. Our cabin is designed to accommodate no more than 6 people. There will be an additional charge of $50/adult or child/day for up to an additional 2 guests not to exceed a maximum total of 8 guests, All guests over 8 will have to arrange accommodate elsewhere. Check-in is 4pm and check-out will be 10am. We rent our cabin to people looking to get away from a hectic world. The beach front and sand bar was the highlight of the stay. The cabin however really needs updating as the breaker would blow if we ran the microwave. And many bad seals in doors and cabin itself. Owner was nice.
My family enjoyed staying at this property. The hosts were very respectful and easy to work with. The accommodations were exactly what we needed to relax.
Really nice private beach great way to disconnect from your busy life and reconnect with your family. We had a great experience overall! The lake was beautiful with a perfect sandy bottom in great shallow area for the kids. Highly recommend checking this place out.

David , thank you the the great review.

The cabin is cute and the location is great. My family loved the beach and did a lot of swimming. Water pressure was extremely weak so that was a big downside, cabin hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived but the cleaner did show up a couple hours later and she was very sweet and apologetic and did a good job. No wifi or tv which was nice, a good rustic up north experience.
Owners are very responsive and friendly. Cabin is clean and well kept. Plumbing in bathroom shower and sink is inadequate. Lovely view and yard.

We enjoyed our vacation very much. Didn't spend a whole lot of time at the cabin, mostly out on our boat. Nice dock for us to tie up to. Getting in and out of the property with the trailer and the boat was on the difficult side. No where to turn around. Had to unhook the trailer and manually turn it around. Driveway to get to the cabin , the trees needed to get trimmed back. We scratched our boat. The cleanliness of the cabin, could have been a little better. Found a used razor on the top of the shower, found a dead frog under the couch...had to buy batteries for the remotes, had to buy light bulbs for the lamps...over all the stay was very enjoyable, the beach was great! Wet land between the cabin and the beach, pathway to get to the beach was very wet and muddy. Needs a little TLC for the guests. Never met the owners even though they lived right next door.
What an amazing experience! My family and I decided we needed to get away from all the electronics and other flashing devices that can take away good basic family time. The cabin here and the location were amazing! Everything was as stated and we were beyond excited and our time there.
location and cabin was great! Very cozy and private. Cabin needed a broom and some cleaning supplies like a sponge for dishes and maybe some trash bags.
We stayed for our summer family vacation. The property was extremely clean and located in a very convenient location. Mark was extremely kind, the beach area and lake were beautiful! It was very peaceful and relaxing. If I had to say anything on the downside the bed and furniture were a bit firm. Very minor! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience!
Overall, it was nice and peaceful.
The only negative was the bed was a bit firmer than desired, and the heater was extremely loud, which affected my wife’s sleep.
this was our 2nd stay at this property. Cabin is very nice and cozy, no wifi. Great location on lake, beautiful water. Fire pit, chairs on the beach, resident bats on the porch to squeak back and forth with (they don't bother you at all!), frogs, lovely floral and fauna. Short drive to Mackinac City. Bring all your own linens, paper products, soaps, foil, etc.
We greatly enjoyed our mom's weekend away. The lake was beautiful, there were nice chairs by the beach to relax and we even had a bonfire in the evening. The cabin had many fans to keep the nights cool. The owners were very nice as well.
Clean rustic cabin! Great location. It was difficult to get rules and information (having to log in to VRBO). an emailed list of instructions would have been helpful.
