The accommodation, renovated while preserving its historic features, is tastefully furnished and located in the historic centre of the town, just a short walk from the Convent of St. Francis and the Churches of St. Nicholas and St. Margaret. A very quiet and cool spot in the summer, characterised by narrow alleys with breathtaking views of the Valdichiana, and very close to a garden with centuries-old trees, it allows you to enjoy a magnificent stroll through the highest and most picturesque part of Cortona.

The apartment is on a single level and is located on the ground floor of a charming building on Via Berrettini with a facade of exposed brick and stone.

The apartment offers free Wi-Fi throughout and consists of:
- a spacious living area with a sofa and a Smart TV featuring Tivùsat HD and Netflix;
- a kitchen with an oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, kettle, moka pot and pod coffee maker, and toaster;
- two double bedrooms;
- a bathroom with a sink, toilet, bidet, and shower.

A second shower is located in a charming little private courtyard accessible from one of the two double bedrooms.

Guests may also use the laundry room on the ground floor free of charge, which features a washing machine, sink, clothesline, iron and ironing board, and a large storage closet with complimentary cleaning supplies.

Both the bedrooms and the entire apartment feature exposed beam ceilings and sections of exposed stone walls, typical of Tuscan homes.
The peace and tranquility of the area allow guests to enjoy peaceful and restful sleep.

From the accommodation, you can stroll through the historic centre, visiting the city’s historical and artistic treasures—including palaces, churches, monuments, shops, and scenic views. You can also take walks in the upper part of Cortona and follow hiking trails through the Cortona countryside and mountains. These routes are best explored exclusively on foot or, in some sections, by bike or on horseback.

You can park your car near the apartment, and the town centre is just a few minutes’ walk away. Free parking spaces are located on the streets and in the alleys adjacent to the apartment, ranging from 50 to 200 metres away. You may also briefly park your car right in front of the apartment just to unload.

The second bathroom is particularly charming; it consists solely of an outdoor shower in a small private courtyard (also known as a patio), featuring a traditional Tuscan stone wall. Connected to one of the two double bedrooms, the shower is accessed through a large glass door from which you can enjoy the fantastic view of the shower itself.

We can call a taxi for you and recommend where to rent a car (preferably a small car for Cortona) with an automatic transmission so you can get around on your own.

Carlo works at a food wholesaler in Arezzo, and we offer our guests the opportunity, upon request, to purchase Tuscan cured meats (whole hams or ham slices, shoulder ham, “sbriciolone,” salami, “capocollo”), fresh and aged cheeses, 30-month-aged Parmigiano-Reggiano Casello 190, and many other products from Tuscany and all over Italy.

We’ve chosen to offer air conditioning for a fee because the apartment stays cool even in the summer, and not everyone uses it.
