One of them is attached to the kitchen and dining area, while the other one is on the same level, making it easy for everyone to find a spot to call their own.

Great house for the 4th

We were a group of 7 spanning 3 generations- teens, parents, and grandparents (80). We really enjoyed this house. It had room for all of us, a great kitchen/ dining room gathering area and a nice deck in the back. The house was clean and we didn’t have any issues. We have been going to this area going back 70 years and this house was a great location. Easy to the beach and Michigan city. Really enjoyed it.

Weekend Family Getaway

Loved the size and location of the house. Plenty of room for 5 and the large bathroom upstairs was a plus. But, the pictures must have been from years ago. It needs some love and deep cleaning. spider/dust webs in everyroom and looks like they been there awhile, the kitchen table and counters were sticky and dirty.

Overall we had a great vacation at this property, but we probably won't rent it again. Everything inside and outside the home needs a facelift- from the furniture to the blinds to the linens... Pros: close to the beach, relaxing outdoor spaces (enclosed porch and back deck), large and well stocked kitchen, plenty of beach chairs and towels Cons: insufficient/untimely communication from property management company, house needs a deep clean and some TLC to fix broken house fixtures, have to supply your own trash bags, toilet paper, and paper towels (only a starter supply is provided- this wasn't communicated prior to check-in), no blackout curtains

We had an excellent time in this home. Proximity to water was perfect! Owner was very helpful. House was beautiful with great beach decor throughout! Again, the proximity to Lake Michigan was what sold us on this property, and we were not disappointed!!

Monica started North Star Properties with one goal. To better serve the Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan Area with a concierge service mentality for short term rentals. From the North suburbs of Detroit she was bred to be in the real estate industry. Both of her parents were entrepreneurs. She watched as her father built Gauthier Corporation, a very successful construction company, which is still running as strong as ever. Her mother started a cleaning company that meticulously made sure every home shined like the top of the Chrysler building. Working for both of her parents growing up, she understands the drive and passion it takes to achieve success. Prior to starting North Star Properties, she sold real estate on the Northside of Chicago before moving to the Dunes and making a permanent home.
