Every thing you need and more! Lovely place. Don’t expect a power shower though! Excellent host. Perfect surroundings specially after the visitors go. Don’t miss the Farm Shop. Great pasties!We loved it.

Wonderful place with lots of room. Large kitchen with all needed essentials. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and beautiful place to stay. Sunsets are gorgeous.

Holiday Retreat with friends.

The Natural Historical gardens were charming, relaxing, and beautiful. The accomodation was nice and clean with all the amenities. Our party of 7 had an excellent time and definitely will re-visit. The Natural History staff were excellent as well.

Lovely, large cottage straight outside the National Trust gate

Easy access and nearby parking. Attractive and well-looked after cottage. Plenty of nice bathrooms. The kitchen is very well supplied with utensils, pots, pans, etc.

Beautiful, cozy but spacious cottage in an idyllic location right next to the entrance to Stourhead Gardens. Well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Hoping to return.

Wonderful Stay

Lovely property full of character, but what sets it apart is the beautiful location on the edge of the National Trust estate. Such a lovely setting. Communication with the owner was excellent, and it was very reasonably priced compared to other options we looked at. Highly recommend!

The house is beautiful with so much character and was equipped with everything that we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable with gorgeous linens. The location is amazing, just steps away from lovely walks around Stourhead NT. And the host was brilliant, answering messages within minutes. My only problem was we only stayed 2 nights, not long enough.

Fabulous location with access to the Stourhead NT gardens. Cosy sitting room comfortably seating all 8 of us. Large kitchen and dining room. More than we needed in the well provided kitchen. We wanted for nothing.Very comfortable beds and bathroom facilities Great place for a family or friends get together

Outstanding house situated adjacent to the National Trust propertyStourhead. The house is tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped. All the beds were very comfortable.Sally could not have be more helpful and even walked our dog while we were at a family wedding. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stayThank you Sally.

A lovely cottage which is more like a large house than a cottage.A stunningly beautiful spot next to the entrance to Stourhead Gardens - National Trust.The photos are deceptive in that the cottage is so much bigger than it looks in the photos. There were 6 adults and we fitted into the cottage easily.Easy to find and incredibly easy to check in.Sally, the owner, is incredibly helpful and very communicative (Thank you Sally)It was peaceful and quiet especially sitting in the garden.The cottage is well equipped and plenty of instructions for cooker, dishwasher etc.It was such a joy to stay in a very interesting and, clearly very loved, old cottage.The location right next to Stourhead was unbelievable and a lovely farmshop just up the hill. Overall we enjoyed an incredible stay and will definitely return.Thank you again Sally.

The host, Sally has been extremely helpful and and very welcoming when my daughter arrived slightly earlier than stated. The cottage is in an idyllic place and beautifly presented. We recommend anyone visiting the area stay at this lovely cottage.

Delightful historic home stay

We found the property to be quite charming with its aged historic features and gorgeous scenic setting. We were comfortable and found the home well equipped and furnished for our needs. I think it is important for visitors to know the property is at the entrance to the National Trust gardens at Stourhead and hence receives a large number of visitors walking past the front door all day, everyday. Busy by day and peaceful by night. Thanks for a lovely stay.
