Ysgubor is let by Coastal Holidays, an Anglesey based holiday letting agent. Indeed, Ysgubor is Welsh for barn and the name of the farm translates as Tailors´ Cottages.Ysgubor is an ideal base for those who enjoy walking or activity holidays with Snowdonia on your door step. You can expect a warm welcome at Ysgubor with barabrith available on arrival and the visitors´ book testifies to the quality of the accommodation and its location.Secure storage for cycles and other equipment is available in the adjacent farm building.

Property Description

Kitchen/dining area/lounge

The well equipped kitchen area contains a cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster a washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Four chairs are tucked under a wooden dining table in this open plan room that was once the barn. The exposed roof beams and stone gable wall testify to the age of the original building.

The lounge area boasts a comfortable two-seater sofa and two armchairs, a coffee table, a 27 in Flat screen TV with a DVD player and Freeview. There are a collection of books on the bookshelf. There is a log burner, a basket of logs and a bucket of coal is provided for your arrival. Any additional logs can be purchased from the owner. The hills of Snowdonia can be seen in the background. Two small steps lead from the kitchen/dining area/lounge to the three bedrooms and bathroom.

Bedroom 1

The main bedroom contains a double bed with bedside cabinets and a wardrobe.

Ensuite to bedroom 1

This bedroom has a fully tiled en suite shower room with a toilet and hand basin. There is a 25cm step into the shower. A heated towel rail and a shaver socket are also fitted.

Bedroom 2

A single bed is complemented by a bedside cabinet and a wardrobe. There are views to the hills from the window.

Bedroom 3

Bedroom 3 contains a single bed, a bedside cabinet and a wardrobe. There are views to the hills from the window.

Bathroom

The main bathroom contains a shower cubicle (with 25cm step), a toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail.

Outside

A table, chairs and parasol invite you to enjoy the splendid views from the enclosed garden. Secure storage for cycles and other equipment is available in the adjacent farm building

Lovely family holiday

Gorgeous little cottage in a fantastic location - easy access to N Wales coast, Anglesey, Lynn Peninsula and Snowdonia. The cottage was incredibly well equipped and hosts are very welcoming and friendly.

Quality cottage in a great location

Lovely welcome, very clean and well appointed cottage with plenty of room. Everything you could want in the home, quiet location and yet very well situated to travel Snowdonia, N Wales and Anglesey! Great!!

Fantastic stay

The cottage was spotless and was very comfortable. The location was just perfect for Anglesey and Eryri National park; as well as for lovely walks directly from the cottage. Thank you to the hosts too who were so friendly and welcoming. We look forward to coming back!

Excellent stay

This was just perfect for us and two of our grandchildren. A very comfortable cottage. Pamela was a very helpful and kind hostess. Some lovely touches, such as fresh flowers on the table.

Perfect for a week away

The cottage was absolutely perfect for my family and I (2 adults, 2 teens and a dog). We had everything we needed in the house and Pamela and her family were very welcoming and friendly. Perfect place to stay for exploring the area. Five stars!!!!

Beautiful cottage

The cottage was lovely - clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were very welcoming and always hand if we needed anything. The location was ideal for exploring north Wales and Anglesey with Bangor just down the road for a supermarket and Bethesda a short drive in the other direction for takeaways. All in, a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location.

Excellent!

We were fortunate to stay at Ysgubor while having renovation work done on our house. The host was very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The cottage had everything we could absolutely need and more. It was comfortable, very clean and the fittings and furniture were all of a high standard. We couldn’t have asked for more and we highly recommend the accommodation. The location is very convenient being close to the A55 and there is ample parking. The dogs , cats ‍⬛ and chickens were an added bonus as were the beautiful, fresh eggs that we could provide on site.

brilliant break

Very well finished apartment converted from cattle shed with old stone walls but interior finished to high spec. 2 single and 1 ensuite double bedroom, all comfortable. 1 additional toilet + shower. Small courtyard at back facing onto fields - ideal for BBQs and late evening gatherings. All BBQ equipment is included. Owners stay next door so easy access for any requests, including fresh farm eggs, available to purchase. Besides which, owners were friendly and responded promptly to any requests including fans etc. [It was a warm, sunny weekend] Pet friendly. Property is just outside village, so surrounded by countryside and interesting walks. However, close to main roads. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful barn stay

Stayed for half term with wife, two Teens and a dog. Welcomed as we arrived and left milk and Welsh Cakes to enjoy. Such a lovely place and well equipped converted barn. Lovely having the wood burner which warmed us up well, all the amenities you need in a home away from home. Maybe a more comfortable mattress that’s less springy, but otherwise a perfect stay, and we WILL be returning!

Wonderful cottage and host!

We had a lovely stay here and it felt like home away from home! Super clean and Pamela was a great host... thank-you for the Welsh cakes and milk in the fridge! My mum also absolutely loved hunkering down to read while we were out walking. The cottage had such a lovely feel to it and was in a great location for where we needed to get to for our walks and photography... actually planning on coming through again it was so nice!

Nice cottage

We loved the place. Pam and Paul are friendly and they gave information about Wales. We had good weather and liked the view on the fields with sheeps. Cottage is near A5 and A55 and close to all the nice places. Wales is beautiful and friendly.

Beautiful cottage

Ysgubor is a beautiful cottage, it was very clean and well equipped. Our host was very welcoming and on hand if you needed anything ( which we didn’t as it’s all there) Our son loved looking the chickens over the wall in the garden. Ideal location to get to everything we wanted to see in North Wales we would definitely return

Lovely cottage, great location

Ysgubor is a lovely place to stay - spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything that a family needs whilst on holiday. The little touches made us feel welcome (Welsh cakes, milk and fresh eggs). It’s a great base for exploring North Wales and Anglesey: beaches, castles, steam trains, walking etc.

Cosy Cottage away from hustle and bustle

Delightful cottage and a rare find with separate single rooms for the kids and two bathrooms, one was en-suite. Kitchen was very well equipped and living area very comfortable. The views of the countryside were stunning and location was just a few mins from A55, but you wouldn’t know it as was so peaceful. Anglesey is a must to visit. Some of our favourite places are Beaumaris, Cemaes Bay, Rhosneigr and Aberffraw. Pamela our host was very welcoming and on hand for help and advice. Highly recommend this cottage as a base for exploring North Wales coast and surrounding area. We will be back.

Perfect Family Cottage for North Wales

Great cottage on owners property, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, lovely afternoon sun trap behind cottage overlooking (quiet) sheep-filled field and with owners gorgeous cats for company. Have paid much more for much less on previous holidays.

Weekend stay for local wedding

Although tricky to find the cottage initially as the whole mountain uses the same postcode we enjoyed our stay very much. The property was very clean and the showers were excellent. The homemade jam and marmalade were also excellent. Thankyou Paul
