Grateful to let you know that our repairs are done and the Blue Dolphin is up and running since last September! Please check our calendar-not many days left in 2024! We are steps from the beach. Post Hurricane Photos have been added to show the changes to the landscape near our home. Please note that there is construction in the general area and these impacts are beyond our control as you plan a visit back to Ft. Myers Beach. Ask any questions you may have-we are here to help and bring you back to this beautiful island! Thank you for your support!

A BEACHSIDE with full beach front views! In paradise, this large, classic 'Old Florida' Key West style beach home features 5 large bedrooms and 4 bathrooms elevated on beach pilings with approx. 2,700 sq. ft. under air. Distinctive 'Old Floridian' metal roof, open and airy, our home is capable of accommodating up to 10 in complete comfort; each room is beautifully appointed, with stylish home furnishings in a Florida beachside theme.

THE FIRST FLOOR: has 3 bedrooms- one being a master with a private bath & a King size bed. A second bedroom has a queen-size bed. The third room has a set of twin beds, with access to a second full bath, shared with bedroom #2. This floor has a large dining room and fully equipped kitchen with a full array of kitchen appliances and kitchenware. The oversized breakfast counter and dining room is ideal for large group feasts. This kitchen has beautiful maple cabinets accented by Italian granite counter top.

The living area, one of two full living rooms, has beautiful French doors, allowing for spectacular gulf views, each leading onto an open, breezy deck with seating for outdoor dining and fun. Across from the living room, is a Cantina style bar with four generous bar stools to kick back and relax over a cocktail.

THE SECOND FLOOR: offers gorgeous panoramic gulf views from the living room. Sleeping arrangements on this floor include another master bedroom with a king size bed and private full bathroom. The second large room features twin beds with access to a second bathroom hallway bathroom with a shower.

All rooms are furnished. Linens and bath towels are provided. The second floor offers a laundry room with full washer and dryer, iron and board. Beach Towels and books, are also provided for your use. We have available a high chair & pack-n-play for our toddler guests.

Both floors have smart TV's, with access to Netflix, Disney+ and other streaming services. Just bring your passwords and log in to the speedy internet!

Property Address: 5420 Estero Boulevard--MID ISLAND-BEACHSIDE.

Area attractions: Close to great shopping. Outlet malls within a 20-30 minute ride are the Sanibel Outlet shops, on the drive to beautiful Sanibel/Captiva Islands. Also, off of I-75 are the fabulous Miromar Outlet shops, with designer and mall outlet shops. Bonita Springs has a wonderful mall called Coconut Point, off of US-41 north of Bonita Beach Road. This mall has great dining and incredible mall stores, in an outdoor, airy atmosphere. Many of your hometown favorites, like Target, Marshalls and other chain stores are in this mall. Finally also off of I-75 is the Gulf Coast Town Center with cinemas, an array of food and a very large Costco with gas pumps.

Memories made

This house was great for the family lots of room and the perfect patio to watch the sunsets. Owners are ready if you have any questions. It was nice to get back to the beach.

Amazing Sunset Views

Our party of 4 spent our vacation in this spacious home just steps from the gulf waters. This home has everything you need to enjoy a day at the beach - wagons, umbrellas, beach chairs, beach towels, coolers and toys for children. We enjoyed the large covered deck to sit and listen to the sound of the water. We watched sunsets and even saw dolphins. If you plan on cooking this home has plenty of cooking supplies but please note that this home does not provide any seasonings - other rental homes we have stayed at have a cupboard of seasonings other vacationers have left behind. The beds are very comfortable and provided a goods night sleep after hours in the sun. Communication with the hostess was exceptional. She was quick to respond to all of my questons. The only thing negative we have to add to the review is the house felt like it could of used a real good deep cleaning. It was clean but we found food under the couch pillows and dirt in the corners of the rooms.

Paradise Found

The property is exactly as advertised. The beach area is superb and the house is very comfortable. Fort Myers Beach is making good progress after Ian. Do not hesitate to rent this amazing property. Linda was fantastic to work with.

Wonderful Family Vacation

My husband and I, two adult sons with their spouses, and grandson age 4 and granddaughter age 1 stayed for a week in April. The beach was beautiful and the house was equipped with everything we needed; beach towels, kitchen equipment, beach chairs, a charcoal grill, and even a shade tent. Our host Linda was exceptionally responsive whenever I had a question. There is construction going on all over the island, so that can get a bit noisy at times. As far as the house goes I think the only thing I would wish for is a garbage disposal. We did a lot of cooking! The house is spacious with two living rooms and two wonderful balconies to sit out and enjoy dining al fresco. We will be repeat customers!

Perfect Family Beach Experience

This house was perfect for our family. There were 7-9 of us there each day and we had perfect weather all week! Things we especially liked about the house: -Enough really nice beach chairs, umbrellas, and shade tent. We made a little “camp” on the beach every day and we appreciated all the equipment. And the wagon!! Our son-in-law is expert at putting up and taking down things so that was fun. -enough dishes and silverware for us every meal. We loved the grill! Our son-in-law grilled every evening and that was fun making different things. We are good cooks and we had plenty of equipment to eat very well all week. - The sheets on our bed in the master bedroom main floor were great! -enough room to eat out on the deck every meal, which we did. -The house was very clean when we arrived early. It was so nice of the cleaners to let us come in with our stuff. -being right on the beach was the best thing We really had a wonderful time. Our family, our two daughters and our son plus my husband, are all home builders and also own rentals. So we appreciate a good place to stay and understand the owners desire to please, which she did! -Here are a few suggestions: -More Dish towels and dish cloths - night lights in the bathrooms -A few lidded Tupperware containers for food storage while guests are there -a new coffee pot

Girls winter getaway

We go to the beach for the view and easy access to it. Boy did we have both. Stop you in your tracks Sunset views, right from the decks. The vacation home, Beautiful, and had everything we needed for a great vacation. We had a little hiccup checking in, but the owner was easily accessible and got it taken care of. Thank you for letting us stay at your vacation home!

House was perfect, clean and roomy. Right on the beach, plenty of shells, white beach and amazing sunsets. Our family had a great time. The host responded quickly. Only thing, you need to allow extra travel time, approx 1hr, getting off the island in the afternoon.

Did Not Disappoint!

This is an excellent vacation rental property! The host Linda is excellent to work with! Very roomy and great house for large group or family! I was SO impressed with all the things the owner has included in the home, even just the little things! They have thought things out well, as to what you might need while staying there! Highly recommend this property!!!

Such a relaxing location with everything we needed! Everyone enjoyed the beach, the beautiful sand, privacy at the house when we wanted it, and being in close proximity to shopping and groceries! We would stay there again... preferably very soon;-)

Awesome mid island comfort.

Perfect location. Easy private beach access steps away. Plenty of room in the house and on both beachfront decks. Kitchen was well equipped as we like to cook; especially fresh fish from the nearby Farmers Markets. Great communication with the owners. Will stay here again next year!

Christmas break

Enjoyed the short walk to the beach with our grandkids. We had enough room to spread out for quiet time. Kitchen well stocked. Publix handy nearby. Traffic during these dates was so slow! But, the weather was amazing!

Beach stay

Great access to a beautiful beach. Funky Big house with lots of beds and living space. Grocery store (Publix) down the street (walkable) and beautiful Church (Ascension) similar distance the other way. Be aware- have to climb stairs; stock up on paper towels, TP, dishwasher/laundry and hand/shower soap at your first grocery run. Loved our stay!

Had a great vacation!

We loved our stay at the blue dolphin! Such a short walk to the beach to see the beautiful sunsets every night! The house fit our needs perfectly… it has a well appointed kitchen with the things we needed as we prepared a lot of meals there. Property manager Linda is very easy to deal with and quick to respond! We will definitely be back!!!

Beautiful home

This was an amazing house! Very clean and well kept. Just a very short walk to the beach, just one house in front of it, but sand from the bottom of the stairs all the way to the ocean. Their were 8 of us staying there, 4 adults and 4 children, it was perfect for us! We definitely would come back and stay here again!!

Fantastic Stay

We enjoyed our stay so very much that one of our guests is making plans to bring a group of friends back next year‼️We were so happy to be allowed to bring our dog on our stay! BTW he loved the water & was a huge hit on the beach💚It’s wonderful for guests to have master baths (2) & 2 full hall baths! Excellent with lots of guests‼️The kitchen was great with the island into the living room& plenty of dining space! It was great to have a washer & dryer but the washer sounds like it’s on it’s last leg!!! The second living room upstairs was great to have a quiet space to enjoy. We felt at home during our stay💚

Wonderful house, just about on the beach

The house is larger than the pictures show. Perfect layout for large group. Loved that there are 2 tv rooms, both very comfortable. Beds more comfortable than our own and the bedrooms as spacious. Incredibly well stocked kitchen with plenty of place settings and seating options. The decks are wonderful and it is truly steps from the beach, easy for my 85 yr old mom to walk to. Linda is great to work with, excellent follow through and a pleasure. I highly recommend renting this property, it has all you need and more.

Great home & location

We enjoyed our week at the Blue Dolphin. Linda was excellent to work with! She provided great information & communication. The home was clean & stocked with plenty of dishes, cookware & towels. The decks were great for relaxing or playing cards. It’s in a great location to the beach, grocery store, restaurants.

Our family has always enjoyed the beach. Our love of S.Florida and its diverse population is why we keep this location as our permanent home. Living on the east coast, allows us the 'best of both worlds', with the Gulf just two hours away.

Why they chose this property

When our children were young, we enjoyed going to a beach that typically was not too deep for our toddlers. This allowed us some flexibility in relaxing on the sand, with out the constant threat of deep waters for the kids. Typically, the warm Gulf waters will settle right about knee length, which is great wading water for kids. Teens can enjoy skim boarding on the beautiful waters. Jet Skis, paddle boards, parasailing, boating, fishing and tubing are some of the fabulous water sports are all at in your reach at Ft. Myers Beach.

What makes this property unique

We are afforded the luxury of being beach side (no crossing busy Estero Boulevard) yet, right off the direct sands of the gulf allowing for less expensive pricing. Direct Gulf front typically runs 10-15% more than the 'one back' homes. A true plus!!
